As a newbie the best way to overcome frequent losses is by staying clear from anything quick money. Because there are a lot of strategy in the online now that scammers are using to deceive people, more especially the new beginners.

I've never being scammed through cryptocurrency but other fiat means. You literally learn same lessons from any of them. The fact is that with cryptocurrency it's a lot more easier to get potential targets. There are many advices that users have given to you already, but let me share you the tips that I know on how to avoid these scams.

1. Always double-check those websites and links - we know that phishing links are very popular, and unfortunately, there are many investors that are falling from it. Most of the time, they're creating a fake website of the most popular cryptocurrency platforms out there. Always, always bookmark the official websites that you're browsing so you will not fall for this.

2. Never share your seed phrases - this is a very common tip, but there are still a few that are giving their private keys to these websites. If they ask for this one for you, it's an automatic scam.

3. Research before investing - there's a famous quote where "If it's too good to be true, then it's not true." If you see something new, make some research on it first before deciding on whether you will invest on that or not.

4. If they use the word "guaranteed", it's an automatic scam - in investing especially in cryptocurrency, there's no such thing as "guaranteed". If they're using it, better run away.

There are so many scammers in the crypto space looking for victims that will fall for their tricks so they can scam them, but if you are very careful when exploring the crypto space and the internet, you will never be a victim of a crypto scam. If you don't want to fall victim to a crypto scam, just follow the guideline below.

2. Don't use your wallet to connect on a website just to claim a free token, but if you must do it, don't use your main wallet; you can create a separate wallet for that so that if your wallet is hacked, your assets will not be stolen.

Actually I have never been scammed before but I have heard several stories about people being scammed in this crypto space, sometimes I keep asking myself how can they possible do that but at some point I realized that this is due to lack of knowledge or as a result of being curious to make profit from this crypto space. There are a lot of people that got scammed in P2P trading and that is because they don't understand how this works before looking into it  they don't know when they're supposed to release coin and when they're not supposed to release coin so is good to master this things before looking into p2p trading as alot of scammers have been using this method to scam people in this crypto space.

But now scammers are doing it blatantly by using memecoins which are a pump dump scheme very easily.
Taking advantage of the greed of people who get into memecoins and then when the price goes up the scammers or rogue devs will sell all their coins and walk away with huge profits.

One shouldn't do anything that they don't know anything about. It's like playing with fire; when you know that it can burn you, you shouldn't play with it. P2P scams are not so good, and P2P scammers aren't always that smart, but it's just that the person who is doing the trade should have a sense of how things work in the first place. If you don't even know that you are supposed to check your account after a buyer says they've made the payment, you shouldn't be doing P2P trades at all.

A lack of knowledge and the curiosity or desire to make quick money are both reasons why people get scammed in this space or anywhere in the world. I have spent so much time in this industry, but I've never been scammed for once just like you, and the reason for that is because I always think about why someone is approaching me with an offer and trying to convince me that it is only going to benefit me and not them when I don't even know them? Why would a stranger be so kind to you for no reason? There must be a plot in whatever you are offered, so think twice before you make a move.

The truth is that as we get smarter and more aware about all these scams in this space that’s how scammers are also getting smarter too , they are ready to get your assets in any way they can . Then I was a victim of various Ponzi scheme in this space especially those that one will have to deposit tron or any particular asset to earn a certain percentage daily and when you get to the threshold you won’t be able to withdraw you accumulated coin . To avoid such always make sure to always research thoroughly, and don’t be greedy to fall for some cheap trick and stuff.

Many scam attempts are being reported here in this forum; both the ones that happened here in this forum and the ones that happened in other platforms outside this forum. The good thing about being here is that you get to learn from people's experiences alot which will help you know what to do when a similar situation comes to you.

My advice to you is that you pay good attention to these threads that call out scams,  there is no other better way to help yourself from scammers than this. You are not safe even here in this forum if you don't act with caution.

I have experienced alot of scam attempts on telegram and on social media. Trust me, I won't listen to any offer or deal you have for me when you are a stranger in my inbox. Strangers are not to be trusted.

I guess everyone is receiving random messages from these scammers. They will always attempt to scam anyone that they see and they're always looking for a new victim.

I wonder how they get our contacts and even if we're no longer in any group. Someone keeps on adding us up into those groups without our permission.

I think telegram also need to change their policies towards that kind of feature. Going to scams, never indulge yourselves into quick profiting in any of these platforms when someone tells you that they know a secret and it will only cost few bucks.

My advice is, invest in yourself first. Educate yourself and keep learning every single day, that’s your best weapon so you can avoid getting scam along the way. And never trust strangers, most especially who keeps sending you DMs because obviously, they have secret intentions to harm you. Lastly, secure your coins 24/7, by not sharing your private keys and not publicizing that you have crypto investment, because that will only put your future in danger.
