Looking out for more information about this on the blogs!
The information about digital coins always change every time include the information about dashcoin, the best way to get more information about dashcoin, you can subscribe via email on the official website of dashcoin, usually they send the new information about dashcoin via email or you can stay on here to get more information. The new information related with dashcoin on media is CoinDash ICO Hacker Returns 10,000 Ether Without Any Demands https://themerkle.com/coindash-ico-hacker-returns-10000-ether-without-any-demands/ hope it give you enough of information for your blog. You're mixing up some terms i think. You're using "Dashcoin" while this is the "Dash" thread. CoinDash ico has nothing to do with Dash. Dash has nothing to do with Ether. So most of your post does not make sense. Edit: for updates on Dash i have found https://www.dashforcenews.com/ to be very helpful.

Isn't the DAO on a different setup than ETH? Nobody mines DAO so how exactly can there be a consensus?
Yes, but it runs on ETH's blockchain and on ETH's protocol. So if the miners agree, code can be implemented (on the Ethereum network) that says "this Ethereum contract can't ever spend money" and likewise, code could be implemented (on the Ethereum network) that says "this one transaction never happened"." so the eth people get to decide what happens to the dao's future ? nice position to get yourself in heh

This is a must read account of the discussions between the ETH principals and exchange operators in the aftermath of the hack. There are some voices of reason there that were warning against a rollback, super interesting. http://pastebin.com/aMKwQcHRThanks for this link; i am shocked to read how easy some exchanges decide to pause trading / stop withdraws etc. Shouldn't exchanges be much more 'neutral' (continue trading), instead of manipulating the market (pausing everything) ? This way the exchanges decide if people who are invested can get out or not.. which is a bad thing. edit: crypto is often associated with free market, which this is not a good example of ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

updated to new wallet succesfully, reindex took about ~7 minutes here (linux 64bit). Some suggestions: - It would be nice to have the ability to set your own font or at least increase/decrease the font size. - Also it would be nice to change the date notation , now it's "8/17/15" which is totally not understandable for Europeans :p (we mostly use dd/mm/yyyy - so with full year as well). Great to see so much progress, keep it up Evan and Team! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

looks great! By the way, at 2:05 in the video we can see you even had a 0.1 second 'sleep' command after each send, i was wondering why ? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

there's one thing missing in the guide; which port to open up in firewall?

quick question; is there some kind of reward for running a node ? (apart from supporting the network ofcourse)
Assuming you mean 'masternodes', which we call servicenodes, then yes, but no details yet. Sorry sdef2, I assumed you were referring to running a full spreadcoin node. thanks. i might just fire up a vps for fun anyway with that guide that was posted earlier ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

the launch of ANY coin is probably not perfect.
But it's pretty lame to come here and nag us about our launch while your own coin's launch is not much better !

i have build from source on ubuntu 14.04 , the qt binary gets compiled ok i think, but it segfaults on startup (the gui flashes a short moment, then segfault).
already tried with fresh .bitcredit directory as well - same problem.
any suggestions?
edit: nothing in debug.log either. bitcreditd and cli binary seem to work btw
trying now myself To me, it's working. Compiled from source https://github.com/bitcreditscc/bicreditsnew. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FQOc8mFj.png&t=663&c=4Ep3QZ_AG5jwEQ) Check the deps from here: http://bitcredit.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_Compile_BitcreditGo to ~/.bitcredit, backup your wallet.dat and peers.dat, delete everything else, start the wallet and wait till it's sync. Return with a working/not working status. Must have been some dependancy problem, compiled on another computer and copied over the binaries to my own pc, works fine now. The wiki was helpful, thanks.

Ok I made a simple comparison. Go to google and type DASH. Then do it again and type Darkcoin. You will see what is the difference. Evan you're a genius coder but a disaster in marketing. Congrats in killing your own coin by your silly idea of rebranding it to DASH.
I'm out. Good luck everyone.
If people are really interested and they should google 'dash' they would also try 'dash currency' (or similar). The latter has close to none relevant hits in google. So we should be fine.

DASH
Private • Instant • Cash
sounds good.

For those interested and wanted different versions of the slogan and stuff. Here's a couple more to ponder. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joomio.com%2FDASH_cash.png&t=663&c=A-GcjE_rsRbEtQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joomio.com%2FDASH_digital.png&t=663&c=0EeoJ-8h6JWAlg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joomio.com%2FDASH-anglemore.png&t=663&c=ZFdLvldMEw-dCA) this one is just angled more ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.joomio.com%2FDASH_d_icon.png&t=663&c=KiD5JC23sIiwcg) and here's the D alone for use on sites that want a small icon I like the last logo. The 'angle' kind of represents the 'movement' (speed) of the coin/transactions.
