Poloniex has reactivated their FLDC wallet. But Tokenly Pockets will not send FLDC  Huh

Now if we could just get a distribution  Cry

Actually not a M$ or more, just a few k$ per week would suffice to progressively and steadily increase the value of CC and at the end bring all GPU miners stop contributing to global warming spending tens of GWh just for PoW (and therefore producing a lot of CO2 for "nothing") and doing instead something useful (folding) while generating profit.
I noticed we had a big buyer today, did the math on their near-10k buy (might have been 10k before I got on to check the exchange) and a few $k a week WOULD be noticeable.
I did my part  Grin
I bought 10,768 CURE on Sept 18th.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CureCoin - Protein Folding Research based Proof of Work on: November 20, 2016, 01:49:29 AM
I am folding away, for almost ten years now.
There's no better way to re-purpose unprofitable GPU mining equipment than to put it to work folding proteins - and with merged folding (you get CURE plus Counterparty Tokens (FLDC,Scotcoin,MagicFLDC,PepeCash)), so your recommendation to GPU miners is golden. Combined this actually makes folding profitable on newer GPU hardware.

I've been F@H for almost 2 years and on the CureCoin team 224497 since I heard about. I'm trying to find a clear explanation of "merged mining." I installed a Tokenly Poskets ap on my browser and it gave me an address so I folded for a while as Miner_ALL_address. When I mined as just Miner on CureCoin Team I got daily CURE distributions to my CureCoin wallet. When I switched to Miner_ALL_address I've only gotten rare deposits: 4 days ago KarmaTokens, 2 months ago MagicFLDC and 2 months ago FLDC. But, no CURE as of yet. I saw somewhere that they only manually distribute monthly.
Monthly versus daily distrubtions!!!  How can one possibly decide which way to fold Huh
Best I can tell Miner_ALL_address distributions go to CounterpartyChain.io/address and get segregated by coin into my Tokenly Pockets wallet.
Miner_ALL_address folding just leaves me feeling totally in the dark. Can someone please explain which is the best way to fold Huh
TIA

"...PC components, just be sure that it is at least in the minimum required by nicehash miner."
And that's the mystery, what are the minimum PC components required by nicehash miner Huh

AMD Athlon II X2 4450e (unlocked 2nd core of a Sempron 145) and an AMD Radeon HD 7700 with 1024 MB. Neither one will complete the benchmark for equihash. Usually the equihash GPU benchmarking crashes my PC. I've got 4 GB RAM, maybe I need more. Other more powerful CPUs have no problem running on 4 GB RAM and say they only use less than 50%. I'll try making it 8 GB and see if that helps.

Another thing that's driving me crazy about NiceHashMiner 1.7.3.3 is that it often starts running and stops while loading SMA saying that I need to have an internet connection. The internet connection is always there and no other application has any problem using it.
I unlocked a 2nd Sempron 145 and it won't benchmark equihash either, it repeatedly times out.

It's buggy that 1.7.3.3 will say I don't have a network connection when I'm loading SMA at the start and then have no problem downloading the 130 MB of miners on a new install.

I can't figure out why I have several HD 7900s that timeout benchmarking equihash but run daggerhashimoto fine.

Quark and qubit moved to asic section.
Zcash with Nicehash-Equihash added to GPU section.

ZEC mines both cpu & gpu simultaneously. Can you combine them plz???

Why is the Revenue for ZEC double Estimated Reward even if Power, Cost, Pool Fee & Equipment cost are zero???

What do you want to combine? Not sure what you mean.

Not sure what you find wrong about revenue as well, would need a specific link.
The revenue is in BTC btw, rewards are in ZEC, maybe thats the source of confusion?

Combine CPU & GPU mining for ZEC.
That explains it, page doesn't say what units are being used. Thx.

How do I buy Ethereum mining? I've used NiceHash in the past for Scrypt coins and it was easy: Create an account at a pool, find the required mining information for the pool, enter that info on NiceHash when buying and let it roll.

I'd like to mine some Ethereum in this manner too but damn if I'm not confused right now on how to go about doing that in an easy way like I remember... Cheesy

Some guidance would be much appreciated.

The feature for mining Ethereum is currently only for sellers/providers (miners), and not for buying Ethereum based hashing power. Please see this news for details: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=news&id=64

Best regards,
NiceHash.
It seems quite obvious NH isn't allowing buyers because they are keeping all the mined ETH for themselves and paying less than market rate to boot.
How much less? It looks like it may be 30% less comparing a calculator to the NH report.

Strange, I have 4 PCs mining axiom and lyra all day. Each has its own worker name. Three of them show up on the stats page for axiom and the fourth appears only on axiom. It seems stats only credit one or the other but not both  Shocked

Edited config file for the nth time and now it's crashing:
Code:

[09:10:39] Restarting the GPU from the menu will not fix this.
[09:10:39] Re-check your configuration and try restarting.
Press enter to continue:

I changed workspace to 128 and it crashed. I changed it back to 64 and it works Huh
I tried --workspace 96 and it crashes.

1. It keeps restarting to go from Lyra to Lyra. Why doesn't it just stay on Lyra Huh

2. I looked in config.json file and all coins have thread concurrency 0 except neoscript which is thread concurrency 8192. Tried different Lyra TCs:
--thread-concurrency 0 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  59.0C 1484RPM | 4.637M/4.191Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:9.917/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 8192 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  65.0C 1489RPM | 5.501M/5.539Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:21.988/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 1
Code:
GPU 0:  68.0C 1490RPM | 5.941M/5.840Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:22.097/m xI:256

3. Why is --gpu-threads 1 Huh
--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2
Code:
GPU 0:  57.0C 1477RPM | 2.184M/2.375Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:9.331/m xI:256

--thread-concurrency 8193 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2
Code:
GPU 0:  54.0C 1478RPM | 1.738M/1.976Mh/s | R:  0.0% HW:0 WU:6.696/m xI:256

4. Why is worksize so small at 64 Huh
--thread-concurrency 16384 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2

Now it's crashing  Cry

BTW, I read this thread but it raised more questions than it answered.

I do not delete much .  I can establish one true thing there seems to have been bad gear sold to Miasma.

Most of the other statements I can't get proof So I deleted most of his posts.

It does appear he got a doa sp20 maybe 2 out of the 15 he purchased.  A  lot of the rest of the problems  he has had seems to be his fault. (not sure)   I rather he stick to the other spondoolies threads. not mine.  he caused notlist3d and I am pretty sure he got the wrong person in that case.

I rather he settle his issues on another thread.

Now if he files a claim and shows proof that he filed the claim with the FTC instead of a signature that is not verifiable I would keep his posts.

RIGHT NOT I CAN  NOT VERIFY HIS  CLAIMS IN 2 OF  3 CASES.

AND THE ONE THAT MAY BE TRUE I KIND OF CAN VERIFY IT.

This is why I delete his posts.

I apologized to notlist3d. There have been many thieves that have gotten loans from BTCjam.com with fake identities.

My FTC claim number is 62637738.

What I find truly amazing is that on the SP-Tech thread they've written to miasma plenty of times trying to work with him.

Here's the quote from just 2 days ago:

Post the completion of our merge, we do intend to deploy our 3rd gen and later gens tech at BTCS facility in NC and evaluate expansion to other lower cost electricity facilities as well.
Regarding hardware sales (miners, ASICs) and JV type deals (rev-share) it will be dependent on market conditions and will be on a selective basis.

Guy

Guy, Why don't you honor your warranty when you ship Dead On Arrival SP20E's Huh

I've been contacting SpondooliesTech since January regarding order 4364 and all I get is the run around. Of the 15 SP20E's almost half would not hash when I received them. I had to reimage the firmware and still two remained DOA. Why did you send me an email saying that after a successful burn-in test we're shipping your 15 SP20E's Huh
Is the SP20E so fragile it breaks in shipping Huh

Hi Miasma,

In response to your previous post, I have written the following response:

Hi Miasma,

Our team has contacted you multiple times and requested to have a session to verify the status of the machines and attempt to debug the situation. These sessions have a very high success rate yet you have repeatedly refused to help us assist you. Even then, you have been offered to RMA the machines but have chosen to ignored our communication attempts.

We certainly honor the warranty and would like to help, but we cannot do that without your cooperation.

I again ask that you reply to the latest communication and proceed with the RMA process.

For clarification, only communication with support@spondoolies-tech.com is documented and officially responded to. We do our best to answer questions asked on the forum but can only guarantee response to contacts to our official support email.

If the issue is not resolved to your satisfaction after you respond to our communication, I will gladly take ownership of your ticket to see that the issue is resolved.
We appreciate your support and cooperation,

Gadi

You have refused to work with our support team and did not respond to any of our support or RMA suggestions.

Without your cooperation and without sending us the units back, there's nothing that we can do.

We urge you once more to work with us to resolve the issue,

Gadi

It's not like they aren't trying to help the guy...

They NEVER tried to help me. SpondooliesTech never answered a single one of my questions. Their stupid claim that they could diagnose and fix my DOA SP20s via Sype is absurd. How can they access a miner that powers on but will not communicate with my network Huh
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: June 11, 2015, 02:37:42 PM
I'm sure there are plenty of people that have been ripped off by them. SpondooliesTech does NOT honor their warranty and ships DOA SP20s.

I've not seen any rip-off claims against Spondoolies ... they proved themselves as one of the good guys ... coming from nowhere to a 'standard'. Sure gave me and many, many others a great and responsive service ... shame we probably won't see any more home miners produced by them.

They delivered DOA SP20s and refuse to RMA them. They lied about having a warranty. SpondooliesTech is dishonest and completely untrustworthy.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: June 09, 2015, 06:46:36 PM
NOTE I AM DELETING ALL OF MIASMA POSTS DUE TO HIS SIGNATURE

It links to a website
that does not show a Federal Trade Commission claim:

Join the Federal Trade Commission claim against SpondooliesTech:

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Instead it is a blank form I feel he is trying to trick people into filing a claim

I see no evidence of a claim.

Each claimant has to file their own claim. Judging from my horrible experience with SpondooliesTech I'm sure there are plenty of people that have been ripped off by them. SpondooliesTech does NOT honor their warranty and ships DOA SP20s.
