1  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Restored coinomi wallet not showing BCH on: July 11, 2018, 10:55:01 PM
Coinomi did not give me 12 new words when I added BCH to the existing wallet (I'm not sure if I'm phrasing it right, but that's the best way I can describe it).

I "restored" a wallet using mycelium key. Then hit "add coins" in coinomi, and added BCH. Then hit "recieve" to generate a BCH address, and then sent BCH from armory to coinomi. It never gave me a new key, so i assumed it was tied to the iriginal key from mycelium.
2  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Restored coinomi wallet not showing BCH on: July 11, 2018, 07:48:36 PM
No. I did not import a bch wallet. I imported a BTC wallet, and then added BCH to it in coinomi and then spent or sent bch from Armory to the coinomi wallet. But the coinomi wallet was created from a mycelium backup seed.
3  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Restored coinomi wallet not showing BCH on: July 11, 2018, 03:03:06 PM
When I created the coinomi wallet from the Mycelium backup, it dont think it gave me a new seed... If it had I would have wrote it down, as I am very careful about these things.

But it was a new process at the time, and I only did it once, so I can't say for 100% how it went.

As I recall, I created the wallet from the mycelium seed, then added BCH to that same wallet, and sent (spent) BCH from Armory cold storage to the coinomi wallet.
4  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Restored coinomi wallet not showing BCH on: July 11, 2018, 01:44:57 PM
Several months ago I restored an old Mycelium wallet on coinomi, then sent BCH from an Armory cold wallet to that coinomi wallet.

Last night my son factory reset my phone, but when i restore the coinomi (using the same Mycelium seed) the BCH does not appear. I went to add coins, and set the path to M/44H/0H/0H but that didnt work...

Is my BCH gone for good?
5  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using Armory on the BCH chain on: December 15, 2017, 11:13:00 PM
Ok. I got it... I hate the old "trial and error" method when dealing with money, but I created an unsigned transaction just like doing an offline transaction, then signed it, copied that rawTx hex, and pasted to blockdozer. Transaction sent.
6  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using Armory on the BCH chain on: December 15, 2017, 10:46:58 PM
I pasted the rawTx hex into Blockdozer, and got an error 16: mandatory script verify flag failed "operation not valid with the current stack size"...

Also, in armory on the transaction details page, it doesn't give a transaction ID because it says it's not signed... Do I have to click send for it to sign it? When I click send, it prompts me for my passphrase, and once I enter my passphrase, the error message pops up and I don't get to see the rawTx...

Do I initiate it as an offline transaction? I'm so lost...
7  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using Armory on the BCH chain on: December 15, 2017, 08:01:05 PM
It all worked fine for me.
Creating unsigned TX on armoryqt, signing on an offline machine, broadcasting on http://blockdozer.com/insight/tx/send
Just please, please, don't forget the checkbox to sign with the bcash signer! :-)

Ente

How do I "broadcast" on blockdozer? After I create and sign the transaction with the BCH signer, I hit send/confirm, then what?
8  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using Armory on the BCH chain on: December 15, 2017, 12:37:24 PM
Hey Goatpig, thank you for helping me restore my wallet. Now I'm trying to get my BCH off there. When I sign the transaction with the BCH signer and hit send, I get a message that pops up:

Transaction not accepted

16: mandatory script verify flag failed(signature hash type missing or not understood).

I assumed this just meant the BTC chain didnt recognize the transaction, but its not popping up in my BCH wallet either...
9  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Restored armory wallet does not recognize passphrase on: December 14, 2017, 11:17:06 PM
Ok. I watched the restore wallet video, and hit merge, but nothing happened...
10  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Restored armory wallet does not recognize passphrase on: December 14, 2017, 10:57:36 PM
The prompt says cancel, merge, or overwrite. Which one do I select?
11  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Restored armory wallet does not recognize passphrase on: December 14, 2017, 10:35:45 PM
I don't think so. My online system is windows OS. I hit import or restore wallet, and followed the prompts. This is only the second time I've restored a wallet and the last time was years ago as a test.
12  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Restored armory wallet does not recognize passphrase on: December 14, 2017, 08:50:32 PM
On the dashboard, it says the wallet is encrypted. When I restored the wallet, I dont remember putting in a passphrase, but if I had, I would have used the same one since its the same wallet... Also, I tried leaving the paraphrase prompt blank to see if it defaulted to no paraphrase, but it still says incorrect paraphrase. At this point I think resoldering the USB micro on the raspi will be easier...

Also, the device is in a location with no internet service right now, so my bits should be safe... Right?
13  Bitcoin / Armory / Restored armory wallet does not recognize passphrase on: December 14, 2017, 12:09:30 AM
I've had some bitcoins in offline cold storage on an air gapped raspberry pi that I used to sign transactions. I accessed them 3 weeks ago on the raspi, no problem. Now the USB micro plug on the raspi is broken (if this doesn't work, I will try resoldering it...). I swept the wallet onto a new online machine using the 18 sets of 4 random letters. The wallet shows up, with the correct balance, but when I try to unlock the wallet to view the private keys (trying to claim bitcoin cash), it doesn't recognize my pass phrase (I know it's correct. It's a mnemonic that I have used for this wallet for years...). When I try to "send" bitcoins, it never asks for my passphrase... It just says "cannot connect to socket"...

Do restored cold wallets still behave as "watching only"...? It doesn't say watching only on the dashboard... Why would it not recognize my passphrase?
14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Has anyone successfully used raspberry pi + Electrum as cold wallet? on: March 10, 2015, 12:38:14 AM
I've used armory and bitcoin core on my desktop (windows), but after running the script, there is not desktop shortcut for Armory on my pi. Do I have to run it from the command line? Google wasn't very helpful. I'm new to linux (this is actually my first project with a raspberry pi and first time using linux). What is the file I need to execute to run armory and generate a key? when I cd into my armory dir, and ls, there is nothing there... When I ls --all, I get " . " (root I think?) and " .. " (parent I think?) All files and libraries installed correctly (the only error message I got was for the camera files, which I don't plan on using).
Apparently I missed a few error messages. Armory did not install correctly. Can you tell me why lines 115-118 are commented out (outdated Armory builds?)? I get an error on line 119 no such file or directory (I'm guessing because there is no wget...). I put wget back in on line 119. Maybe I should be looking at github for more info?
Thanks for bearing with me. :-)

AussieHash, I'm following your github readme, and I have a few questions... I want to do a completely secure, air-gapped, "NEVER been connected to a network" raspberry pi build. Is there a way to complete the build on a regular computer, and then just put the SD card in the raspberry pi, sort of "plug and play"? Or does the raspberry pi HAVE to go online to get the necessary updates? Would I need raspbian installed on my other computer?

16  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Book release : Blockchain Programming in C# (Part 1) on: January 20, 2015, 10:04:06 PM
Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I need some help...

I just found this book, and I'm really excited to get started! I am familiar with Java and Visual Studio, but have ZERO C# experience. In visual studio, after I install the reference NBitcoin, the bitcoin keywords (Key, PubKey, BitcoinAddress... etc) are not highlighting as reserved/recognized keywords... Is there a step I am missing? The microsoft forum was completely useless...  Undecided

I get this error when trying to debug:

Error   1   Cannot embed interop types from assembly 'f:\Bitcoin\ProgrammingBitcoin1\packages\NBitcoin.1.0.7.18\lib\net45\NBitcoin.dll' because it is missing either the 'ImportedFromTypeLibAttribute' attribute or the 'PrimaryInteropAssemblyAttribute' attribute   f:\Bitcoin\ProgrammingBitcoin1\packages\NBitcoin.1.0.7.18\lib\net45\NBitcoin.dll   ProgrammingBitcoin1

I switched the embed interop typse back and forth from true and false, but the keywords still don't highlight, and i get a different error for each keyword saying the namespace cannot be found.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Issues with multiple miners... Please help on: August 09, 2014, 05:48:51 PM
Are you suggesting it is an issue with GHash?

what pool do you recommend?

Any other than ghash. Here are some suggestions. These are my favorites, with the same order I have setup my miners failover:

BTCGuild - 2% PPLNS
F2Pool - 4% PPS
Eligius - 0% CPPSRB
p2pool - 0% PPLNS
Slush - 2% Exponentaly scored
You can find more pools here.

As for S1s. I would recommend to use wired connection instead of wireless. Anyway do the following:

  • check the setting which says "I would like to configure DHCP settings" in your router, click Apply
  • put the DHCP lease time to 24H
  • put End IP address to 150, click Apply
  • configure your miners for static addresses above 192.168.0.150

Example:
Code:
#1 S1 - 192.168.0.151
#2 S1 - 192.168.0.152
Terraminer - 192.168.0.153

Give me the screenshot of your DHCPs configurable settings, maybe there will be more to tweak.

Good luck!

I have 4 ant's and my terraminer hooked up to a switch. the terraminer and ant's 1&2 are hashing away at full speed. ant's 3&4 power on but don't hash, and don't show on my worker pool (I also tried a 5th ant, same result). I can't find an option to set the "DHCP lease time." I am going to change the IP addresses to 150 and above now. Also, I am confused... If I set "ending IP address" to 150, and then put all my addresses above 150, doesn't that put my IP addresses outside the useable range? or am I misunderstanding something?

Thank you for the help, I really would like to get these up and running ASAP. Time is money. And the blockchain needs us! ;-)

I have two antminer s1's. both are hashing, but only one shows on my ghash worker pool.

That is the primary issue I am trying to resolve.
