So many fucking quotes. Not like 90% of the posts are filled with words I want to read anyways.

Only $500,000 market cap. Shitcoins with no future can easily get this far. Just wait till the release. Moooooooooooon
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SFR] SaffronCoin | Decentralized Market, Exchange, Email on: August 29, 2014, 06:57:23 PM
We are trying to make the SaffronCoin PeerMarket the best decentralized shopping place. Some other coins that have a market just make use of entities traveling through the blockchain to just show it works. What is the point of a decentralized market when there are no actual sellers? We are lucky to have Pho_Tai (lino0spice on this forum) who himself is a merchant and has a wide range of products. He would be the only seller during the testing phases.

The final release would give you the same feel of using ebay/amazon or any other e-commerce site.

Including other coins to be used for purchasing products on the PeerMarket is pretty cool and would expand our ecosystem. This step would push towards altcoins working together for some exciting projects rather than compete against each other which has always been our vision.

Sounds good but all your talk about supporting other coins takes the attention away from SFR and makes the investors doubt your intentions, so maybe rethink over your plans.

It's hard enough to get people to buy 1 coin to buy things. You want to have the biggest market next to bitcoin and the only way to do that is accept other coins. It's about getting users anyway you can before another coin does.

Remember we can invest in other coins to. Hint: they already told us the coins so go buy them before someone else does.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MANDATORY UPDATE] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain on: August 29, 2014, 04:46:04 PM
Moderated some posts.. Guys there is a thread somewhere where you can discuss price.. Please do not do it here..

why Huh

Because instead of talking about the price we should be talking about things we can do that may change the price and how to do those things. Mainly it's building out the services so people can easily use them.

If you only want to talk about the price go here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759376.0

Can I get some assistance with the following error?  I've had similar since .3
Deleted all but wallet.dat several times, running as admin.  Win 7 x64

Hopefully you backed up your wallet. Because if you did then just take a back up and put it into the folder. Then open the wallet and it should work.

Is this 21 questions here? Of course the team will announce things when they are ready. It's not a secret coin project.

In the For What It's worth department

about 15 minutes ago I transferred 1 coin from my new wallet to my account on Mintpal

15 minutes later ... it has not shown up yet....

that's not to say it won't soon, but it has not in 15 minutes.

Smiley

Blocks moving a bit slow right now.

You can probably find the transaction in the block explorer here http://www.blockexperts.com/sys

Come on guys. Half the posts are just hot air. Lets get some substance that makes people interested and want to come back.

For those who don't know how to code or make pretty videos or images for marketing just sit back and don't chat about the price and pump groups.

In the mean time we'll wait for people to finish things...like this.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 25, 2014, 07:21:36 PM
Seriously, I bought some of these because of the devs behind it

Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for this coin to show its TRUE value?

Because right now it's gotta be the most undervalued coin on the market other than maybe Neoscoin?

Im sorry I just cant wade thru all the crap posts on this thread and make any sense of it.

I truly believe in Dano, whats the timetable for this to get up to where it should be?

There was a screen shot of a work in progress. Things are happening in the background. People are building. People are also fudding because there are so many coins they don't want to see this one succeed.

And the timeline has been posted numerous times. It just keeps getting buried. Hopefully the first post of the new thread will have all the details.

It's stupid hard to follow anything. Fud out in full force. There's a lot of interest in beating syscoin down. It really just validates the claim that the chain was being attacked.

Fwiw, it's my understanding that the dev's still haven't gotten paid, merged mining got put on the backburner in favor of fixing the coin so that miners get the fees for all the services again, but I might be mistaken. It's really hard to be sure I've got all the current info, and that it's accurate, with all the garbage being thrown around.

It's really easy. Just look at all the posts from Dano or posts from members of the team. You'll stay up to date with everything. Just click on their username and you'll be able to see just their posts.

...

But you made your point. Then you made your point again and again and again. We hear you loud and clear. The devs and moolah are holding their coins long term because they believe in the coin. That means less coins on the market. We get it.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 25, 2014, 04:24:20 PM
Moolah does not equal just 1 person either. Moolah has many employees. So employees at Moolah pooled together and bought 140btc worth. 140/25=5.6

So a few people bought some because they believe in the project.

Dev has shown their 2%

The bounties will go out to people helping out.

The buy wall SYS will be held long term.

In the end it's just less SYS on the market looking to quickly exit around presale price.

Just gotta wait for price to go back over 500 sat. Let people sell to get out at break even point (probably just a couple hundred btc worth) and then the sell pressure goes down.

Price will go up once people have an easy to use market place and other features are easier to use.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 04:13:51 PM

Moolah wants to make sure we came through on our commitments and didn't just slack off given the shaky launch. We have spoken with them and will issue a statement Tuesday once the official paperwork is complete but things are all good Smiley in the interim I can say we are starting to roll out BTC bounty payments to those owed and will start shipping rewards as well! Going to be another busy day!

@danosphere what about the new thread ?

Coles

?? one page back he talked about it.

To reiterate, and this will be clearly posted in the new thread later today [ROADMAP]:
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 06:43:43 AM
If syscoin team does add more buy support they could buy back 25%-33% of the coins from presale buyers.

Then add in the people that already sold and the people who may buy back in. Lack of coins could become an issue. Especially if people come back to this coin as it grows.

Will have to see how mining goes as time goes on.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 07:10:11 PM
It upsets me Moolah is holding the funds like a hostage. You give a little but get nothing back. Damn terrorists.

They were very quick to withhold funds when things didnt go to plan, so should be equally as responsive at providing the funds when applicable - IE now.

As far as i can see the team seem ontop of their game, are continually trying to juggle the dev work/bug fixing, keep us updated and pay for external resources building whilst being stifled by Moolah who appears to be treating them like a naughty child who doesnt deserve their pocket money.

Better watch out - they'll have you washing their pots and polishing their shoes next.

Moolah needs to step up fast at this stage.

We are frustrated and concerned as well. We are trying to be patient but watching the price slide as we wait for funding is certainly tough on the entire team/families (and the community as well I'm sure). We're still working hard on the core code and improvements but have so much waiting to go pending paying people, and so many devs who have jumped on to help us that deserve payment we cannot yet provide. We aren't trying to dump SYS to get the BTC we need to pay these people, we already have it sitting in that fund.

I know I am buying up all I can right now with the price being so low. I have been lurking and following this thread and I really believe in this coin!  Wink

Whatever man, but me thinks Robinhood already beat everyone to the punch here.  If the consensus was that this is a great coin than there would be more buying power than selling in which case the price would be going up.  Sorry for pissing in your Cheerios dude, but it is what it is.

Volume is 35btc with another 6btc falling off the 24 hour rolling period shortly.

Roughly 7btc in sell orders under 465 early presale price.

Hardly enough to be concerned about when SYS hasn't even shown us things they and others have been working on.

Other coins are doing much worse. Of course this presale was bigger so bigger expectations and once SYS gets paid we'll see some things.

Just gotta sit back and wait. Don't be so quick to write this coin off.

Moolah holding the funds is protecting us. Not that I don't trust the devs, but as they are essentially getting paid in portions by Moolah, they need to keep performing in order to get some funding... To me, this is proof that this coin will last, as the devs can't scam us in any way with Moolah on board.

Constant updates, bug fixes, launched a coin, features are working, people are contributing, miners are mining, people are more and more satisfied but this isn't good enough for Moolah to release even a portion of the funds.

I'm all for 200btc a month if that's what the team agreed on but that first 200btc should have been released at launch at least.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 05:32:28 PM
I may have missed it and don't feel like sifting through 300 pages. How can I fix this?

Most likely due to your wallet.dat

Assuming you have a backup of it just put the backup in the syscoin folder and replace the other one.

Then open the wallet.

Should work.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 04:57:17 PM
At 100 sat mining is around 0.18 btc a day.

Eventually presale buyers will stop dumping. It's not like this is a dead coin.

If there is a lot of fee dumping that means people are using the coin which means people are buying.

Eventually the coin will have no volume as people are waiting for the services to evolve.

Miners can dump half a bitcoin a day if price stays around here. I doubt that'll knock the price down much over time.

I think 10K sat is reasonable price.

Not with 300 million plus coins.  Look at the price of something similar e.g. Pinkcoin.  Pinkcoin doesn't even have the worry of more coins being produced.

Look at something like dark coin. Still being mined, whales in it, high market cap, around 20btc worth being mined a day. People are hoping in the future dark does something.

SYS has services people can use and it'll only get better and easier.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 23, 2014, 04:12:11 PM
What people don't seem to see in this coin is that it is a MARKET PLACE. Along with certs and data storage and other things that will come out in the future.

These things have FEES.

Also MARKET PLACE.

The last thing you want is the price getting pumped and dumped over and over as people are trying to buy and sell things and use the services.

One day you don't want to buy some SYS and the next day have it be worth 50% less and then you can't buy things on the market place.

You also don't want it to get pumped and then have the fees be really high and no one uses it so they change the fees then the price gets dumped and then they have to change the fees again.

It's best for this coin to find a price point and then build walls on both sides around it so the price doesn't move much. Miners can dump a little and from the fees they get from people using the services and other people can buy in.

Maybe in the future this coin will be so awesome that there will be much demand and the price goes up and the fees will have to be adjusted again.

I think the syscoin team is doing a good job in trying to manage everything. People don't want to pump the price up and then there will be buy walls to support the current price. Then people can happily use the services.

That's all great for one day.  My fear is that in the crypto world it might not survive long enough for any of that to happen.

Well, the services are working - command line style. It's about taking it and expanding to web sites where people can buy / sell / upload things (deeds, wills, docs, warranties, small files), create certs, aliases.

People just need to give this coin a few weeks to see what people create.

Then we can all sign up on a site and begin buying and selling things. Provide feedback, make improvements, and get more people to use it.

Yes, it would have been better if all this stuff was done and ready at launch. But that's how things go. It just takes time and they decided to launch the coin in its current state and continue working. I'm sure they are hoping to get some funds too so they can pay people that are currently working and who will work but want to make sure they get paid before starting.

Just get the team time and I'm sure with the new thread will be new announcements and new hope.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][USE] UseCoin » X13 | 10+ Ghash | BITTREX | Sign up for UseMarket BETA Test on: August 23, 2014, 03:44:33 PM
the whole thing is looking dodgy, he says 300 members have contacted him have we had 300 different members on the thread. if you don't believe me ask bittrex. in irc. there was someone discussing it with Richie. the person said that dev told him coins were sent to bittrex but richie confirmed no coins were sent.

So I checked my logs. Sure enough.

<bittrex-richie> i havent heard from the usecoin folks
<bittrex-richie> let me check my queu
<bittrex-richie> nope.. no usecoin in my queue

Dev claims to be in contact. Is not. Launches the market place directly after saying they are in talks with bittrex. No whales in this coin. No pumps besides that weak ass pump a few hours ago.

I can write the same fud Grin Screenshots of dialog please!
