1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: June 24, 2018, 11:56:00 AM

OK ...

Even after we suggested and offered and posted and listed, you have STILL yet to mention us and our pool, STILL have yet to contact us on ANYTHING that you have spoken about, STILL to even consider mentioning us and our pool option in any form whatsoever.

So the 'big' mining pools are all you give a damn about? Is that how we are supposed to take it? This lack of care does not bide well for the type of community funding you are trying to put together, when all we have done is try and support the coin and community in every way possible, yet ignored ALL ALONG with your lack of recognition.

This proves a number of things to us as a company, least of all that you even consider the people willing to put their commission and systems to promote and fund you.

Amazing!!!

Crysx,
Why are you bitvhing on Bitcointalk? Take it to Discord. I'm just the messenger. You know to reach Hardman:
Ravencoin Community Discord
https://discordapp.com/channels/429127343165145089/429134388882833408

Until then just chill Dude - your pool is pretty new. Who knows you?  Try making friends. If you play nice, I'll throw my humble hash with your pool. Although I would like to see it up, running and hitting for a month first.

New?

I personally have been around in the CryptoIndustry from almost the beginning of the inception of Crypto, with the CWI-Pool system being around for many years now Smiley

Though you are correct in saying that the Pyroxene Mining platform is reasonably new, CWI have been around for quite a while. It was not an attack, but merely a take from our perspective.

As for Discord, that is not as easy as one would think in a corporate network that uses a proxy like we do - Squid. WebSockets are NOT supported with Squid, so just by basing the communication on a IM platform that is NOT accessible on a network platform that most will use in at work or in most corporate systems, is not the way to drum up more support. We cannot access discord servers unless we disable the proxy all together, and that is not going to happen anytime soon, so most corporate networks use Skype instead, which has NO ISSUE with access through a proxy like squid. You are cutting out the majority of corporate users (yes - majority. Especially if you think that you have a LOT of users now, think again), simply by forcing a discord channel that is inaccessible to those in a corporate environment.

In any case, the RVN pool on our new platform Pyroxene (A component of the CWI-Mint Group -https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3829887) has been around for many many weeks now, with only a portion of our mining farm (theFARM) testing it, and successfully solving blocks. Even with successive posts about our pool, and the functionality of such a pool (this is NOT a Yiimp based copy and paste pool system like all the others seem to be now from youtube Video tutorials), NO ONE from the Raven community (least to say the ONE person that controls this thread and can edit the OP) has taken then 25Seconds to edit the OP and add our pool to the list of mining pools.

This is what I am saying with regards to care. Community driven projects supposedly as this one is, should be much more open to the community space, and not restrict the lines of communication to ONE form of IM, or ignore those others helping out in even a small way.

So 'chill' I am, but to continually ignore my posts here, and our help, simply means that any help we may have in future will be withdrawn, rather than offered, and that becomes something that is NOT community based, but private. We know - we have a few private projects as well as community based ones.

So discord will not happen with us, or any others that you cut out simply by using that ONE and ONLY channel to discuss anything regarding the 'community help'.

Thanks anyway, I really do appreciate your time to respond,

#crysx

Heaven forbid that you could occasionally use discord to contact people outside of your corporate environment.  I mean, it's just not possible is it!?

Of course it is ...

But YOU change the network systems EVERY TIME that happens, and see how far you get with that?

We need to setup a special server, and a special system to put in place that bypasses the proxy altogether I think. It seems that the frivolity of those IM systems have taken over the 'oh so difficult' methods of the tried an dtested and STANDARD environments of the corporate systems. Ho Hum. The things we do.

Heaven forbid indeed, just to get the help of companies that can move this MUCH more than others. Once again this SHOWS the complacency that the 'community' Raven have behind them. Silly in so many ways, yet so 'big' that you are more complacent yet STILL ask for help from those that 'heaven forbid' can't change their corporate structure.

Point made and confirmed just by your statement alone.

#crysx
Who's asking you to change anything about your network systems? I don't operate within a corporate network and I can access discord just fine thanks. I guessing you have the same capability because hopefully you do not spend your whole life within that corporate setting. But no, it's too difficult. Easier to bitch here about it. Maybe you could influence things better by initially using the established communication channel.
Don't expect everyone to conform to your requirements just because. And I don't recall anyone asking for your help either. You've offered a pool, one of many, but won't step outside your environment to communicate.

I was just thinking... shouldn't RVN slowly replace XVG in market cap and acceptance? They have some similar capabilities but X16r is ASIC resistant while the different algos Verge offers are not helping much...

There is no such thing as asic resistant.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 15, 2018, 07:02:39 PM

Ccminer 2.2.5 and also  2.2.5-tpruvot-ethos7

Why would you use CCminer? Almost any other miner is quicker. Try Enemy 1.09b - you will pick up 25%-28% more hash rate.
Because it's available on ethos, Linux.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 15, 2018, 04:51:30 PM
Anybody else mining with ccminer on ethos? This past few days the miner has been restarting frequently, I don't mean rebooting, just re-initializing the cards and starting again.
I watched it in a terminal for a while and it keeps having an illegal memory access error on one or more cards.

"Cuda error in func 'cuda_check_cpu_setTarget' at line 41: an illegal memory access was encountered

Ccminer 2.2.5 and also  2.2.5-tpruvot-ethos7

Excellent,  especially as hash4life seems to have died completely.... Again.
Looks good and quick too.

Yes 2 1060 3gb on a 8 pin to dual 6 pin evga cable. And 2 risers on a evga cable with a 20 awg 6 pin to dual 6 pin adapter. If the capacity of the 8 pin to dual 6 pin evga is 150w then if I run my cards at 85w then will the cables not be overloaded. I understand that the max tdp of this card is 120w. I have been informed that the most profitable way to mine raven is with a tdp of 80-85%. Does that mean I would have to run these cards at between 96-102w per card? I'm running 8 cards off of 2 evga 750w gold's.

Kind regards
Steven
You should be fine running them at 100% tdp as regards your psus and cables. However, it's best practice to have both card and riser running from the same psu, so I would change your arrangement to having 4 cards and risers from each psu, not all cards from one and all risers from the other.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: May 10, 2018, 06:25:10 PM

So I spaced out my cards a little more. Maybe a cm or so and it has dramatically helped with gpu heat. 65c at 80% fan speed at 75w per card. I have had it up to 80w and the temperature stays the same so that sounds good doesn't it?

I have some worries about wattage though. I understand that a 8 pin pcie can carry 150w? I have 4 cards running off one evga 750w gold. I have it wired with 4 cards powered with the 2 split pcie cables you get in the box and the risers powered from from the single pcie cables you get in the box but I've added 6 pin to 6 pin dual splitter to give me enough connections. Does that make sense?

I worry that if my 8 pin cables from the psu can only carry 150w and say I'm taking 80-85w per card and my risers were taking 80-85w I would be overloading my cables.

PCIE cables/connectors can carry more than 150w.

From Toms Hardware :
Quote
Even though the specification allows for a delivery capability of 75 W (six-pin connector) or 150 W (eight-pin connector), the total power-handling capacity of these connectors is at least 192 and 288 W, respectively, using standard terminals, and even more using the HCS or Plus HCS terminals.

https://www.tomshardware.co.uk/power-supply-specifications-atx-reference,review-32338-12.html

I run each card and riser on one lead using good quality pcie 8 pin to 2 x 8 pin splitters. No problems at all.
Besides which, if your cards are using 85w, then that is their total draw. The riser power is included in the power usage for a card, not additional.

So do you think I will be ok running at 85w? I bought 20 awg 8 pin  pice to dual y 6 pin off amazon and I'm using those to power the 4 risers. I've bought a multimeter to test the riser wattage anyway so should be here tomorrow. Was just a bit afraid to go over 150w between the card power and teh riser power
How many cards per cable? If its just 2 1060s then it should be fine. The cards probably won't be drawing any riser power anyway, but the max according to the spec is 75w, so that's only 150w for 2 risers

ravencoin wallet in playstore , just annouce in discord ~
Just installed it. No obvious way to import a private key other than from a backup phrase and the support link is broken. Might be OK in use....

There is no need to yell.  In the future people can make their own judgment.  I mined for a day and was not paid.  It’s that simple.  Nobody needs a signed messsge to pay coins out of a pool this is nonsense.
The message is not to get payment, it is to prove that you own that address. I expect there are many idiots trying to claim coins that don't belong to them. Hence the signed message. But if you would rather complain rather than take reasonable action that's up to you.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 16, 2018, 03:21:52 PM
More problems with threeyed and people are still in it? is this for real? I can't believe how stup** people can be, obviously they can. No wonder RVN value goes down every day.

BigZim keep stealing from them!!! when they don't learn once, do it again and again and again, they won't learn ever! keep it up, you'll make a lot of money through Ravencoin project. Funny, but I support you know LOL.

PROVE IT or STOP the Slander!

BigZim closed the mining pool days ago. Paid everyone what they were due. He is/has been on discord looking up everyone's account, one by one, that claimed they were shorted. Turns out that BigZim did all that could be done, stole nothing, helped everyone.

So before you slander him - prove it.

http://mine.threeeyed.info/workers/RN3yyFxxWeSzeT3FtDLsKSAmY32MvT142d

Unpaid.  I accuse no one of theft.  I am owed RVN by 3i.

Sign a message using private key to that account. Send it to BigZim and see what happens.

For holding RVN, not selling; is it better to store RVN's in the Raven Core Wallet or have them at Crypto Bridge?

Always better to store coins at a wallet where only you own the private key as long as you take appropriate safety and security measures.

But cryptobridge is DEX, you should be able to get the private key for you wallet you have there, right?
And who else might have that private key?

ThreeEyed pool did not send my RVN money on my wallet. I had 323 RVN in the pool yesterday. And now it showing to me Mature: 0. A you kidding?

I've gotten some. They owed me about 1,100 and I've gotten 600. I'm hoping that they will make everyone whole, but I'm not counting on it.
Lesson learned - As soon as something goes wrong with a pool, Switch! Happen to me when RVNPool closed, I got my coins, but my workers went idle for a night.

You simple can't know who or what is behind the pool. The miners are at their mercy. Missing coins, outages/crashes/DDOS, questionable hash rates and share assignments. And Communications, what communications - all you get is go to Discord.

Discord is where they communicate,  you twat.

Stop whining and go to their discord. Or even read up a few posts for the explanation that others have posted, which they got from - the threeeyed discord!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.5 (Windows/Linux) on: March 22, 2018, 01:33:16 PM
Update my 2 rigs to 11.5.
Presently surprised. Stable and I am able to run higher memory clocks with 11.5.
Vega 44mhs 1108 core and 1120 memory, rx570 now 30.6mhs 1140 core and 2080 memory, rx550 now 14mhs  1150 core 1930 memory.
All up I gained 10mhs over 2 rigs. Could push clocks higher on 550 and 570s but not worth the extra power
Best update I have seen from clamore thanks dude keep up the great work.

570s and 550s bios modded
Latetest amd drivers.
Updated from which version?

love the program and have used it for a months.. why you gotta package it in a way that everything thinks its a virus lol

i download it from mega, chrome says no... cant download from google cause they say no, finally download with microsoft edge, windows says no instead, finally add rule to protection to skip folder.. IT works Smiley yay

You can dload from Google. Just right click it and copy to your drive (Google). Then it let's you dload if you make a copy of that on your drive. You still have to stop windows deleting it though.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EtherDelta - Decentralized Token Exchange on: January 07, 2018, 05:02:49 PM
I just tried ed for the first time. I sent.0.331 eth to my wallet. This took 150 confirmations to show up. So I tried to make a deposit to the contract of 0.321 eth. Nothing happened. The tx was unknown on etherscan for around an hour. So I tried again. Again the tx was unknown on etherscan. Fast forward to 6 hours later. There is still nothing in my contract at ed and the two tx are now both showing up as pending on etherscan, but are only 3 minutes old.
When will I get my funds? I can't even withdraw my eth now because of the two pending tx to the contract address.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you use hdmi dummy plug for your mining rig? on: June 17, 2017, 10:26:08 AM
I'm running 6 x 4 card rigs, mostly rx470 with 1 rig on rx580. About half the rigs boot fine with no monitor or dummy plug.  The rest need something plugged in to boot. This is odd because the rigs are identical boards ram and cpu. I have one rx580 card that boots and runs fine for around 10 hours then drops to around 4mh. It has nothing plugged in when this happens.  Trying to see how long it lasts with a monitor at present.  Also swapped from claymore to ethminer just in case claymore is the problem. May have to get some dummies on order.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UBQ] Ubiq - Smart Contracts For An Automated World on: April 08, 2017, 06:49:38 PM
I'm pretty sure you can use ethos to mine ubiq.  Just change your pools to Ubiq pools.  Not sure about solo mining but it shouldn't be very complicated.
I initially used the ethminer that comes as part of the nicehash miner, just pointed the miner to a ubiq pool.
