I received some comments related to security issues, but I'd also also like to hear a few voices on the general conclusions of the blog post. Do you agree? Did I miss something important that affects how ordinary users view Bitcoin? In your opinion, will Bitcoin succeed as a monetary system and be on par with traditional currencies in a few years' time, or will it remain a niche currency? Although the thinking behind the bitcoin currency is valid, it does suffer a weakness in the storage - would like to get some feedback on that statement because I can't judge it from a technical perspective.

I'm mostly interested in an economic and political perspective of Bitcoin and hope to get some opinions from various users.

I'd like to get feedback from other users concerning the security of Bitcoin: do online wallet services offer sufficient protection if ones' computer is note secure?

The first comment on my blog post is related to the security of user’s computer, which would in most cases be less secure than a bank’s IT. I'm curious to hear feedback from the Bitcoin community on that.
