2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't repeat same mistakes on: February 22, 2021, 10:49:26 AM
Knowing when to enter and exit the market is extremely hard and even i can't do so i just take half of the profit and hold the rest but i feel like this time the foundation for the bullrun itself is stronger with some institution already get into crypto compared to the one on 2017. Back then it's just ico craze, all project are basically a quick flip, no news about adoption, insistitution like tesla and mastercard this time so i feel like this time it will last much longer, maybe until the second half of the year.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think we will see a lot of weak hands at $100K on: February 22, 2021, 09:03:08 AM
The $100.000 milestone is starting to look way more probable than ever, especially after such rally the past few days. I cannot blame anyone for selling at such prices, due to it being a huge psychological boundary. Myself, have sold at lower prices for the same reason. Tried to recover from my mistakes though and will try to hold as much as possible.

I'm not sure myself either though. I wouldn't be exactly sure if I'd sell or keep my BTC, supposing Bitcoin was to hit $100.000 in a month.

No one would just buy bitcoin at that price, even a hundred thousand satoshi would be expensive. What I will do is sell half of it or an amount that is equivalent to 2yrs of my salary then wait for a year to see if bitcoin can still go beyond that price. If so, I would not sell it until I retire. Bitcoin has only 21 million supply and every 4 years the difficulty for it to mine a whole gets half so I believe it can still go higher than $100k. It's still early to see that because bitcoin is not that acknowledged yet in many countries.

Well it's demand and supply and even right now there are people that buy it when the price is already at 50k which i never thought will happen in less than 3 years. So if there's more and more people that want to get into crypto then that kind of price will be inevitable. I already sell half of my bitcoin at 50k and at 100k maybe i will sell a few more. It's still early to think about that kind of price because it will be double than the price right now.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at $50k: Looking back at the price perspective on: February 22, 2021, 06:46:00 AM
Back then no one knew or expected that bitcoin will reach this kind of price, i don't even know bitcoin until mid 2015 and i consider myself quite early to get into crypto. Even if i know bitcoin in 2009 i won't buy it until the first surge in 2012/2013 and then after the crash i would've sold all of my bitcoin anyway. But right now is different when crypto is quite popular and adoption is not a pipe dream anymore. Maybe in ten years we will look at another perspective when the price right now is considered cheap.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Smart chain ( BSC) VS Ethereum (ERC-20) on: February 22, 2021, 06:33:55 AM
Totally agreed on all point but the problem about gas fee remains and that's the main reason a lot of people looking for alternatives and they choose bnb although it's centralized. The transaction fee of ethereum is so high if you want to do anything with it, even sending ethereum will cost you $4 per transaction right now and you'll spend more if you are using uniswap, etc. No way i am gonna pay over $10 in fees when the transaction amount itself is about$100.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much you profit gain from this bull, my one is same as previous on: February 21, 2021, 02:29:57 PM
I don't know how much i'll earn at the end of this bullrun but right now my profit are still far from the one that i've earned from the last bullrun, maybe still around 30-40%. Maybe that's because i actually earn a lot the last time from the ico craze which is a quick flip and there's other means to earn crypto like bounty, airdrop, etc. Right now the only source of money is by trading although it's slower but it's good enough for now.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 400$ per GTX1660 Ti on: February 21, 2021, 02:20:42 PM
Presently is 400$ per gtx1660 Ti a good buy? Now that no one knows how long mining profitability will keep up, is this a good price to buy or I should let go and wait for later? The offer consist of just three of this graphic cards right now, what do you say?

The price is definitely cheaper than in my country (about $500 right now for 1660 Ti). With 1660 ti you can get about 30 Mh/s for each card which can earn you $4/day right now and with that you can hit BEP at about 3-4 months and if you need to buy other part for the mining rig then you'll need more time to break even. Keep in mind that the income right now is very high (it used to be sub $1/day last year and about $2/day early this year) and can decrease as the network difficulty keep increasing, the activity of ethereum network, the talk about EIP 1559, etc. At the end of the day it's your decision whether you are comfortable or not with this kind of risk. You can probably sell the card for $100 if the market crash later and a lot of card flooded the market.
There is no point in selling the card for 100$ when ethereum mining is not profitable anymore, I would advice to keep mining because crypto space is season base, gather the coins in bear market and wait for bull season again, there are many who are now rich because they keep mining Ethereum in 2018 after bears took over the market, now they are in millions, satoshis will be satoshis but value worth us all that matters

The scenario that i stated is when the market crash which mean all crypto crash and if he want to keep mining other crypto to gather the coin that means he will mine while losing money in electricity. Of course if he can afford that kind of expense and want to do that then he can keep on mining but it's hard to justify high electricity bill while you have no other income to pay it.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Dogecoin for what? (I need advice) on: February 21, 2021, 11:16:09 AM
Hey everybody,

I've just found an old wallet with thousands of dogecoins inside.

Since I'm a newbie, I would have some advices about exchange with others Altcoin. I was  thinking about exchanging my XDG for ETH. Is it worth? I should keep my Doge or exchange with other coins?

Thanks for help

I will exchange it for other coin as i don't believe in the long term potential of doge. ETH is a good choice but don't expect it to multiply like other low marketcap coin, maybe expect it to grow 20-30% more is reasonable in this bullrun. You can also look at other coin in the top 100 coinmarketcap like bnb, polkadot, ada (especially the last two as it seems like it's their turn right now to move).
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on BNB (Why it won’t replace ETH) on: February 20, 2021, 03:30:10 PM
^ BNB was rise because of the binance exchange and most trader use their coin just to cut fees, there is nothing else matter. We know that BNB will impossible to replace ETH, which is far behind. Besides, as they said, BNB is fully centralized rather than ETH and that is the reason probably that BNB can not surpass ETH. I think there is nothing special with the BNB, it is coincidentally that the fees on ETH were ridiculous these days and traders find a way to move their money and to save from the high fees.

The price was indeed increased because people can use it to cut fees, but if it just like that then there's no way the price explode like right now. It's more like because ethereum transaction fee is so high that people move their project to binance smart chain and people see it as the second coming of ethereum, meaning the price is very undervalued for that kind of use case (not just as exchange token to cut fee). If the transaction cost problem of eth is solved then i believe people will move back and the value of bnb will decrease again.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: February 20, 2021, 01:54:22 PM
Right now doge is already overvalued in my opinion because of the pump so the value will probably stable or slowly going down during this bullmarket. The moment doge reach 1$ is the moment that i realized the market is really crazy and the bubble is about to pop because no way it's gonna hit $1 beacuse that will put it the marketcap at like 10% of the entire crypto market right now. So no in my opinion doge won't get that high even a few years later when crypto adoption is better than right now.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB is No. 4 (3RD NOW) on: February 20, 2021, 04:58:10 AM
Binance smart chain really make the value of bnb token explode, i feel like it's going to follow eth footstep with how it is going right now. ETH network is so congested and the transaction fee is really high right now so a lot of people move to binance smart chain which increase the value of bnb. Don't know how low will the price get when correction happen but hey it's still bullmarket and the market is irrational. So glad that i still have my bnb when it's usecase just to lower the transaction fee on the exchange itself.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC as a mining card ?... on: February 20, 2021, 04:43:45 AM
Hi guys

Seen a lot.of these lately they are small and thin, only question is r they suitable for a mining rig say running 5 of these ?

Any one had any shortcoming from this card for mini g ?? What hash rate should I expect per card for eth ??...

Hope someone can help before I buy more ...

Thanks,

It's good, in fact it is one of the best 3070 card out there, it runs cool, low power with good oc ability (don't know i'm lucky or not, but i have 3 and all is better than the gigabyte eagle oc one), and it's slim so it will take less space. You should expect 61 Mh/s from each card. It's suitable for mining rig if you can't find 3060ti anywhere but if you can get 3060ti for cheaper then i say go for the 3060ti one because they will hash at the same rate.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin did you make the most money from? on: February 19, 2021, 08:47:28 AM
I made the most money from ethereum from buying when it's still less than $100 until now (still get eth everyweek from mining) and bnb (bought at sub $15) because the price increase a lot the past month. Other than that two maybe neblio at 2016 (bought at ico and sell it around $48 each on december 2016). Surprisingly i don't own / earn a lot from bitcoin, don't know why but i never hold it for a long time and i almost always sell it for another crypto or take my profit after maybe 10-15% price increase.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NVIDIA is cutting the 3060's Hash Rate in Half & NEW Mining specific GPU's on: February 19, 2021, 08:44:03 AM
It's up to them whether they want to limit it or not and this is a driver limitation not hardware so someone will unlock it for sure it's only a matter of time. at the end of the day miner will look at the price, availability and the hashrate it will produce, no one sell at MSRP here so have to wait until it hit the market and see the hashrate. If it's only hashing at 45 or even lower then i guess it's not worth it for miner, they will just buy 1660 super (cheaper), 5700 (more hashrate), or even 3060ti (efficiency at it's finest).
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080ti still a good buy in 2021? on: February 16, 2021, 10:16:23 AM
$200 for 1080ti is a really good deal in 2021, it's already in the too good to be true territory. The power consumption will be higher but it still can get you 40 ish MH/s each card (that's about $4/day right now). What you want to know is why he want to sell them at those kind of price and it's even better if you can test them first to see if they are working or if there's some card that need to be repasted / need to change the fan.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Dogecoin overpriced? on: February 15, 2021, 02:56:39 PM
I think so, while it has a niche use case because of the low fee but there's only a few scenarios where you want to use doge instead of other crypto and the coin itself has been pumped in recent weeks so right now it is definitely overvalued . It has value but because it is a meme/joke coin that's been pumped and i don't think there is news about the development of the coin itself and I think the price will go down in the following months.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 15, 2021, 05:31:25 AM
Are you sad to see the current market situation? YES to ME  Cry
1. Seeing insane eth gas costs, Unable to trade small amounts of tokens due to expensive shipping costs.
2. Seeing the increase in the price of BTC reaching the new ATH, I can't do much because I don't have any BTC investments or other coin investments whose prices have gone up.

Oh my GOD .. my life is very sad. I hope BTC and ETH prices drop dramatically, amen  Grin
Number one is bad if you are actively sending eth but as for me it's a good situation because I am mining eth and more gas fee = more income for me and I hold my eth so I will also get the benefit of the price increase. For number two I also only have a little amount of bitcoin so I don't earn much from that but seeing bitcoin price soar is good because later the money will flow to other crypto.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: taking profit can be hard sometimes. on: February 15, 2021, 03:22:05 AM
some traders and investors find it hard to take profit even after making good profit on investment. this can be as a result of aiming to sell at a desired price that is higher or hoping to hold the tokens for more longer time.  its not everyone that can do this patiently and some usually regret their actions. the secret is to make decision and stand by it and also be satisfied by little profits , take out your investments and some little profits and then leave the rest for long term.

kindly share your ideas that might be helpful to solving this issue.

It's hard because human is greedy by nature. They have x coin and already gains x profit but they want more and keep holding only for the price to go down later. I myself have experienced that kind of situation back at 2017 so right now my strategy is to set a target price when i buy coin/token and sell some to earn the capital back + half of the amount remaining to take profit. I keep holding the rest if i think the price can go higher but i already earn my capital back + profit so if the price goes down then i won't be dissapointed and if it goes up then i won't regret it because i still have some.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Monero - Minergate? on: February 15, 2021, 02:37:41 AM
If you want to mine monero then mine at supportxmr, they also provide helpful steps from downloading your wallet, mining software, and configure the mining setting. The minimum withdrawal is quite high at 0.1 XMR but you want withdraw if your balance is less than that but they will charge you 0.001 XMR as fee if i remember correctly. Also don't mine monero using GPU, it's not worth it, just use the GPU to mine something else like ETH.
