Thanks so much everyone...Looks like its working, I basically installed vericoin on PC (actually the same Mac computer but through parallels and imported the dat file and its working- well loading anyway). I tried the delete everything and reinstall but it didn't like that idea for some reason.

I just had a thought. What if I use a different computer to download Qt, I have another Mac and also the Mac has parallels so can use windows if need be. Can I not copy the wallet.dat file and paste onto another computer and then import to that wallet? How does one import the file into the wallet?

I have backed it up. I named it wallet and it automatically called it wallet.dat is that all i had to do?

Anyway I tried backing it up before, then deleted everything vericoin (except the backup) then reinstalled it and opened and same thing happened. Is there something I am missing in regards to deleting it, i.e is there maybe some remnants of the program on my computer (Mac).

Hi everyone.

I have decided to purchase vericoin and essentially I bought before and after the fork. After the fork I got vericoins sent to my wallet - before I opened my  Qt client. Anyway essentiallly I can see that vericoin is sitting in the wallet but my client isn't work. It has pretty much paused loading for the last week or so. Please see below the two screen shots..

I want to be able to extract the private key and do a sweep so I don't have this issue again. I have also deleted and downloaded the newest version, all to no avail.

Would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me recover my private keys and explain in a very simple way how to recover them. I know absolutely zero about computers and programming etc so please keep that in mind.

I will try to follow response on here but otherwise can you please send me a private message on how to find this.

What do you mean delete everything in the directory, where can I find the directory. Sorry obviously i don't have a computer background.

I imagine vending machines would be the next logical step. Imagine about to catch the metro and you feel like a ice cold pepsi, just press a button and scan the QR code. Surely this is already happening, maybe in advanced places like Japan?

The % has actually now decreased instead of increased. Should I delete the app and re-download given I have the backup?

Hi all.

Sorry newbie here. I downloaded the vericoin wallet about 2 months and then never used it then recently bought some more vericoin and got them sent to my address (before I loaded up the QT client). So my wallet still have the coins I can check that, but because the client hasn't synced it doesn't show in my qt client software.

Can someone please help.

I have since back up my wallet and then downloaded latest version of qt client but exact same thing happening. It has been loading like this for about 12 hours with no change in %.

Please keep in mind I have no technical background so please explain what I must do like I'm stupid
