Hi all.

Sorry newbie here. I downloaded the vericoin wallet about 2 months and then never used it then recently bought some more vericoin and got them sent to my address (before I loaded up the QT client). So my wallet still have the coins I can check that, but because the client hasn't synced it doesn't show in my qt client software.

Can someone please help.

I have since back up my wallet and then downloaded latest version of qt client but exact same thing happening. It has been loading like this for about 12 hours with no change in %.

Please keep in mind I have no technical background so please explain what I must do like I'm stupid Smiley

anyone? It has been loading for about 18 hours or so now, I am kind of worried.

The % has actually now decreased instead of increased. Should I delete the app and re-download given I have the backup?

Thanks.

I am not a vericoin expert. I can think of POSSIBLE reasons:
-there was a fork: to solve that you need to redownload the client
-you have 0 connections to the vericoin network: you need to create a vericion.conf file with "addnode=....." lines.

And beware: before you do delete stuff make sure you make a copy of the wallet.dat file.

Thanks.

So I have made a backup to the desktop a .dat file...

Do I delete everything and re-download?

Also I currently have 27 connections and the % complete is reduced further .

So confused

Hi so that didn't work. this is the message
20:41:12

Method not found (code -32601)

Also yes I did know of the vericoin thread I thought you meant a vericoin forum, that is one long thread imagine trying to find your reply on a 600+ pay thread..

What do you mean delete everything in the directory, where can I find the directory. Sorry obviously i don't have a computer background.
