1  Economy / Goods / Re: Kobe Bryant Signed NBA Rookie Trading Card on: January 11, 2022, 02:22:48 AM
This is 100% a scam for several reasons but I will make it simple. First off, I am a collector and my Dad is a HUGE collector.

His rookie cards are 1996-1997

There are quite a few. However, all his rookie cards have him wearing the Lakers jersey. So, this man's story cannot be true. You cannot have had his rookie card and had him sign it before he had played. Plus if you really had the card you would say what cared it was. Topps?? Was it the 1996 Topps Chrome Refractor #138 or the 1996 Ultra Platinum Medallion #P52 or maybe the 1996 Flair Showcase Legacy Row 2 #31. No, maybe you had the 1996 Skybox E-X2000 #30 or 1996 SP Holoviews #PC18?

Truth be told your story is dumb. You did not meet him in '97 and he signed a card for you before he was in the NBA. Because On Nov. 3, 1996 Kobe made his NBA debut in a 91-85 Los Angeles Lakers win over the Timberwolves. He played only six minutes and recorded a rebound and a block.

So, rethink your dumb story next time.

PS... SCAMMERS ARE SCUM and therefore YOU ARE SCUM!

Get lost. Get a job.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Just Received 3 - Bitmine Coincraft Desk V2 - Will Pay XMR for HELP@ on: May 20, 2021, 05:39:10 AM
Hello all!

I realize this is a super newb post Huh but I am running out of ideas and options. If someone could help me I could throw you some XMR as a thank you.

I picked up 3 of these units from a lady who gave them to me because her boyfriend died and was mining BTC in 2015. I was able to see the address and he did well, They mined for about a year in 2015 and they mined a total of 6.4 bitcoins. She said that the electric bill went from $2000/yr to $4000/yr and so they turned them off (BTC was $200ish she said) so anyway they figured they were losing money. Long story short, they turned them off and never turned them on again. So, she gave them to me in exchange for helping her get to her 6+ coins and getting her set-up to cash them out. Lucky lady... minus the boyfriend part.  Sad

So, I think I realized today that I got hosed in the deal. I came home, cleaned them up, plugged them in and they seem to be okay. I get power to all 3 units. They way they are set-up is strange. There are 5 modules in one box. And two each in the others. Have no idea how many of these modules work as I have no idea how to tell if they are running. But the fans and PSU are running well. Here comes the major issues...

On the LED readout for each is an IP address. I plugged all 3 into ethernet. Let run for about an hour and none of the displays have changed. They each read the following

192.168.7.10
24 deg c
0.000 ghs

192.168.7.11
25 deg c
0.000 ghs

0.0.0.0
23 deg c
0.000 ghs

Each one has an SD card in them. Was thinking of taking them out but have zero clue if this would help in any way.

Was going to try resetting them but I don't think there is any reset I can see.

From what I have been able to gather, I am supposed to go to those IP addresses but it just times out and can't reach. This could be because my IP's are all 10 based 10.0.0.17 etc but not sure. So, they are just humming away but I am lost now. Is the 192.168.... addresses still attached to the former network? I then read something that made me come here. It looks like these were originally sold by bitmine.ch who went out of business causing quite an uproar. So, now my thought is that these units will never work for anything now?

My questions are
1. Are these as good as trash?
2. Can I mine anything with them? Any coin at all?
3. If you were given these three units what would you do?
4. Do these have any use and if so, where can I look for info on getting these used for something.

If someone can help me with these units, either getting them working or telling me how to do so privately... I can tip you in Monero. I know you are all so much more advanced in the mining category than me so please, blow me away! Teach me masters!  Roll Eyes
3  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 5 BTC Reward**** Blockchain.info Alias Identifier on: January 04, 2021, 07:27:32 AM
Wow, hope you can recover! I wish you good luck. Somehow I feel like I'm giving this info for free. Oh well, helping is kind.

I had the same issue a few years back. You mean you formerly had to login at http://blockchain.info/wallet/aliasgoeshere? And when you got there you had to enter a password correct? If that is the case, I believe you can easily recover the wallet because that was my issue. I had no email attached and so was stuck. The problem is that now you must login using the identifier, rather than an alias... and you don't know the identifier? Well, it is pretty easy so if this works, can you at least throw me something? It worked for me.

All you need to do is send a request via the page below. If you send them the alias, they will supply you with the identifier. If any of the account has any details in it, you may need to provide proof that it is you. A fantastic proof of ownership is the transaction id of any of the transactions you did or a wallet address. I assume you have some piece of info that can prove it is your alias. BE SURE to mention that you have the password (but obviously do not give it) That's all I had. The alias, the password, and a wallet address that I received coin through. Within a day or so, I got an email reply saying the account identifier for this alias is xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx and from that I was easily able to sign in with my password. Wishing you the best!

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOKIA ICO : BEWARE POTENTIAL SCAM!! on: February 02, 2018, 05:45:13 AM
No need to question this further. It is 100% a scam and so sad they already have taken so many people's money and now I see their ads roll across the screen constantly which only means more suckers looking to get rich quick will surely dump their btc to these frauds.

How do I know it is a scam?

Easy. Click on the profile for Ms. Anna https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1353653;sa=showPosts

Look at her past posts. The account has been purchased as the previous posts before the response in this thread have nothing to do with this coin and certainly not the posts you would expect to see 15 days prior to being Founding partner, CEO at Tokia Ltd. Her linkedin profile found here https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-lunhu-15841618/ is a total mess.

Also, if you read the reply she wrote in this post, it is written in almost perfect English. Now watch Anna speak here, or should I see read. This girl has no clue at all...  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlB2TaIEYHs

You really think this is the CEO of Tokia?

Here is an image showing a totally different person altogether.

I have plenty more research on other members of their "team."  Message me if you would like it.

If I were you, I'd run and run far.

Stay safe all... don't give your coins to thieves!

6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Dutyfree.io - Buy cheap cigarettes with Bitcoin on: June 11, 2017, 02:26:14 AM
What a surprise today... very strange...

Last month I posted this:

DO NOT ORDER FROM DUTYFREE.IO

I ordered two cartons in April with tracking and haven't heard a word or received tracking. Seems to be they are scamming at this point because they no longer respond to PMs or emails. Highly suggest you await confirmation of delivery.

and this

DO NOT ORDER

Site is still up and they removed the link to this thread and instead are just stealing money now

This was because I had not received my two carton order, or any response to my support requests, forum messages, posts or emails. So, I fully thought that this company was simply out to scam at this point. But today, I went out to the mail and to my surprise, one carton of my smokes order. No note, no email and no clue where the second carton is but I will for now just report that so far, even though it has now been two months, I am now in possession of 1 of my 2 cartons from my order.

So, I still say be weary. I still think ONLY owe's me a message or email and I still am missing one of my two cartons. So, it is up to you whether or not you want to risk the money to try and order. As I said, I will surely update you the moment I see the second carton or any message or email from dutyfree.  Till then, be safe!

Peace

8  Economy / Scam Accusations / Do NOT Buy From DUTYFREE.IO They Are Now Scamming People Even Changing Site on: May 23, 2017, 11:33:29 PM
WARNING:

Do not buy cigarettes from DUTYFREE.IO

And please do not leave your holier than thou response. If a company is going to offer products it is not okay to simply scam consumers. I am not saying that dutyfree.io was always a scam as I have ordered a total of 6 cartons from them and the first four came fine. But recently they stopped responding in forums and even though I ordered 2 cartons and paid for tracked shipping, they sent me an email confirmation saying shipped but no tracking was included, I have tried the other threads and emails and no response. Today I noticed they removed bitcointalk forum from their site under the "reviews" section and replaced it with another site, No email response in well over a month. They now exist to steal your bitcoin.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: JZ Microphones Vintage V11 Microphone *Mint Condition/Never Used* on: May 07, 2017, 02:56:07 AM
Yeah, I'd love the mic but $350 is a bit steep for me.  Are you looking for anything in trade?  Are you going to do escrow?  And ship with tracking signature recording?

I have a few things but I do a podcast and that mic would be sweet.
10  Economy / Goods / Re: JZ Microphones Vintage V11 Microphone *Mint Condition/Never Used* on: May 07, 2017, 01:56:27 AM
Hey guys I won this awhile ago at some music festival thing and its been sitting on my desk for probably a little less than a year now with no actual use so I thought it would be a good idea to sell it.

Its in perfect condition with 5 years warranty, never been used and only take out of the box once to hold and have a look at.

I am setting the price at $350 and will ship it for free, so just let me know what you guys think.

Am interested... what is the lowest you will go?  Also, can you verify it uses XLR like this image

Have not received anything and double checked my address. Everything is correct.  Shipment was to USA

Sorry, but your feedback score looks uninspiring. Bearing in mind the order you've mentioned has been dispatched without a tracking number, am I right in assuming it has actually arrived and you're now asking for a free carton?

Absolutely not. I am a regular customer and bought from you under my old account many times. My old name was stolen and used to scam. I am still very legit as always and your email response said that they were returned to you. Please update my order ONLY and maybe not make another accusation

16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: dayet - Scammed me for $400 - also vouching for campycoin (could be bought/alt) on: March 18, 2016, 03:28:53 PM
OMG I want to cry...

This is CampyCoin and it is really embarrassing what happened here. I never thought THIS would happen.

I needed a small loan and I saw a post from a guy that he was taking accounts as collateral. I took th eloan (can't recall amount) I think it was $50 or so. So, I used the $50, then paid the guy back. Well, he never changed the account password back so he stole my account. No I see why.

My account was worth far more than the $50 he lent me but he also got that back and now I lost my good account.  Trust is trash too

PEOPLE SUCK

Who's the "guy"? Proof?

Honestly, I don't remember. I know it sounds sad but I was hard up for money and was looking for loans and some guy said accounts as collateral and I knew I needed it and would be able to pay it back quickly. I remember asking him in PM how it worked and he said to pay the address he gave me and he would change the PW back (since I gave it to him) when the loan was repaid. At the time it sounded fine, I don't recall the thread but I searched months ago and didn't see it. I'm guessing he deleted it. But I was out of btc after my entire fiasco with Michael Moriarty. He got me fired from BitScan and CryptoCoinsNews and I was just sad and didn't care at the time...  Then I saw my name in this post and was pissed my mistake hurt someone else. I mean, does me no good to go dumpster diving now.... I don't want the account now.

Just sad.  Bitcoin really is the answer if 5/10 people weren't just looking for who they can screw and how.
