Pardon folks, Is there an official ANTMINER "S4" Discussion and Support Thread> I purchased an S4 directly from BITMAIN. It arrived today and while the LED lights up, it doesn’t display any writing. It’s completely blank. I’m hoping some experienced folks here might be able to help but need to land in the right forum for S4 help. thanks

Yes that is what I inevitably did as well. I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

When I flashed new firmware I noticed double digit hash rates and increase in HW errors. I alerted bitmaintech and they told me to remover clock settings and reapply the firmware. Did you try reinstalling firmware after reverting settings?
yes I think I have tried everything and still the problem after 6 hours of work down 60GH / S, so as bitmain has not solved the beug I'll stay on the firmware antMiner_S320140811.bin

Well, changing frequency to default does not fix the new firmware problem. Woke up this morning and 3 of the 6 S3+'s are running at under 50Gh/s. Hope they fix this problem quickly.
after several test I still had the same problem so I reinstalled the firmware antMiner_S320140811.bin and for the moment it is 4:40 NAME Uptime GH/s(5s) GH/s(avg) block HWE% S3.75 0d 4h 41m 38s 479,61 504,71 0 0.0012%

I day dream about going solo once and a while but I am not sure how to go about it with my antminers. Or more specifically, I am not clear on how to make the payout go to my multi bit wallet and not bitcoin-qt.
You can do solo mining via offered services too, such as http://solo.ckpool.org/

So it seems like you need to manually set the voltage and frequency setting(s) after flashing the new firmware ..... that would perfectly explain the dropping hash-rates then ...
Yeah after all my late night fun last night I'll just stick with October's release for now. LOL Hindsight is always a wonderful thing ... and with that in mind, it looks like the first port of call for dropping hash-rates would be the freq settings, but yeah, I don't blame you for sticking with your reset firmware seeing the only officially documented change is the reset button functionality. Anyone still running the new November firmware, would you please find out what version of cgminer ships with it? cgminer to v4.6.1

I cant seem to get my antminer S3's to connect to my pool here's the network config. my modem can be accessed on: 192.168.100.1 which is strange since my desktop IP's are completely different. if someone could give me the proper configuration I would appreciate it, I've been messing with it for a week and am about to just sell off my miners xC. IPV4 netmask=255.255.240.0

Interesting. The problem hashing board now in my first S3 is working fine and very stable. I just found there is a difference between my first well running S3 and the S3 that the problem board came out of, and that's is a different firmware on each. I haven't found a way to determine while ssh'd in, e.g. opkg list | grep antMiner comes up a blank. But, bruno033 pointed me to the firmware page and I see there the 0721.bin has a solid green light when running. The first S3 from the mid-west has that. When I saw that the S3 from Florida had a flashing green light when hashing I though I probably configured it differently than the first. But it must mean the S3 I got from Florida has the 0711.bin firmware because the other later options are the 0811.bin and the 0826.bin, both of which will have the Advanced Frequency change option on the miner configuration page. So, the questionable board is very stable at this point in the S3 having the 0721.bin firmware. Time will tell if it remains at 441 overnight as the humidity rises, e.g. right now the rh is 30%.

If the new FW is loaded into the S3, does the full range of clocks become available through the "Miner configuration"/"Advanced" menu?
