Devs never delivered anything they promised The dump from devs just confirmed this scam Actually you are the moron, my undereducated friend. Cloak is not a scam. The developers did deliver. Cloak is an "exotic" anonymous coin -- its anon feature works completely differently than any other --, even if it is trusty right now. And if you browse alty's previous tweets, you will clearly see that the development team thought the system was trustless. They called for an audit which the coin didn't pass, and now they are -- hopefully -- working on the trustless version. There is a OneMarket feature that could be released right now and would work with the trusty anon wallet, however the devs want it to be released together with the trustless anon, which I appreciate. Cloak-wallet has built in trading feature, one of the first of its kind. And lastly there is a working mobile wallet as well. To sum it up, Cloak is better in means of features than DRK, the current price is mostly due to the circle-jerk of whales and the confidence lost in the devs when the trustless wallet wasn't released on the 10th of September. So congratulations, you have just earned your diploma of Idiocy. |

Actually, yes. We've been giving this some serious consideration, and you can likely expect some news regarding this in the next week or two. Also keep in mind that I was not involved with this project at its inception. I was working on my own 2nd gen crypto that has not been released, but has been in development for the past 14 months. ( This is why the first major update required a newer compiler than what is required by other altcoins.) Since joining this team, I've decided to start implementing some of the features that were a part of my original vision into litecoindark. I feel that seeing something fresh, as opposed to recycled altcoin forks will do a lot to stimulate the crypto economy as a whole, and I feel that you don't need ICO/IPO 100% PoS coins with a foundation to pull it off, nor to do it well. My bullshit relay has just burnt out. Time for me to leave this coin. Was a nice start-up though, will keep watching... |

This looks really bad. Well I hope they alty will be able to deliver in the end but for now I'm extremely disappointed. I'm going to sell all I haven't sold yet. Perhaps if and when the developers have already delivered I'll buy again but not before that. There was a reason I suggested in my previous posts that the devs should deliver on the set dates, not doing so does not help building confidence.

If you check the chart we are exactly in the same position as we were early July, late June, both in means of volume and price and we were waiting for PoSA release back then too. If the developers will finally deliver the trustless anon wallet, I think a new ATH is not impossible. If they don't, well, let's just say they won't profit as much from it either. |

Yeah people tend to get hyper emotional with alts. Cloak is a neat coin and all, but it did see its post-launch pump and charts are charts, all things being the same I would think it will continue a downward trend over a long period of time, like Bitcoin/Litecoin/DRK/BC/every other coin before it. ...Until one day it potentially sees the mega pump (a la BC). What I keep thinking of in the back of my mind as a corollary is Quark coin. Quark followed a very similar type of path. Launched beginning of summertime, saw a small pump, then long period of declining prices and accumulation, and then the big winter rally. But that was because somebody accumulated a lot and put the effort into promoting it. So what I am hoping, is that if/when the dev team delivers in September, it is a positive signal to external forces and then we see more outward promotion and it sees a cycle like Quark. Of course, after the winter holidays last year we all know where Quark went. Unfortunately that seems to just be the way the alt markets work. To some degree I suppose it is debatable if that is what we have seen in Bitcoin as well, and perhaps we are on the downward side of the great Bitcoin pump and dump of 2013. Of course my above paragraph of commentary pre-supposes that one's only focus or interest is in price going "very very high!" </fyrstikken voice off> but aside from that I could see Cloak gaining wider regular usage by people as...*ahem* a currency and not a commodity. A counterpoint to that argument however is that other coins have also implemented markets that...see no use. So I have to assume that most people's interest is just in price going "very very high!" </fyrstikken voice off>  But remember, it is a zero sum game, every time the price goes very high, somebody is buying at that price, and becomes the new bagholder filled with emotion and anxiety on the other side.... ...but then again maybe I'm the fool. I don't think we will ever see $1000 bitcoin again, I think the price will trend to around $100 over the next 6-12 months unless someone decides to pump it again. I think you are wrong for the most part. Firstly mega-pump does not exist, you have just made up this term because you thought it sounds cool and professional. I can assure you, it does not. It is and it was always pump and dump, whales and sharks playing with the small fish. If you know the mechanics and can play by their terms, "swim by their sides", you may achieve high amount of profit in a short period of time. Secondly, Quark was a very nice startup at the end of last year, with great features and active developers. The coin was even analysed by Max Keiser in one of his reports. It wasn't a sole pump and dump after-all, the price still hasn't fallen back to the original levels -- i.e. before-the-pump-levels -- but yes in the long term it will tend to decrease a lot since the devs have left and there are no new features or ideas invested into QRK. Shame. Thirdly, the altcoin-markets are massive test terrains for future currencies -- if you haven't noticed this trend already -- most will die, some may prevail. Therefore, yes you were mostly right about this, there is a fast rise in case of most coins and a long fall-back period -- which may be not as long in most cases because we all know how many scam-coins are around these days. And last but not the least, in my opinion BTC is just maturing -- complete maturity is still a far cry though, it may take a decade or more --, there is more fuss in the news about it every day. We are in an era of mass adoption by the public. More and more people can reach it; even more important, gain knowledge of its existence. I don't believe we will see the price going below $400 any time soon -- except if another flash dump happens but that's not a long term price. In the long term I think we will see many more ATHs followed by price decreases but IMHO $700k/btc in a decade or so is not impossible at all. Well, I hope I have covered all your points, looking forward to your response. BTW your chart in the next post is less than childish. |

@TheDagger 2 weeks is very tight for a development with this volume. Especially since you've just started the job again from scratch. I hope you will be able to deliver by or on due date. I have my faith in you.

Seems pretty clear that most investors haven't a clue about coding. Software development is notorioulsy difficult to estimate time and effort. Nevermind code as complex as this. Its just the nature of the game. Investing in cloak should be nothing at all to do with how quickly code is released. Code released too soon is much more liable to fail and create negative feedback loop with investors and price. The stated aims of the project are pretty clear. I suggest putting much less pressure on the developers and let them do their thing in peace, this is about the coin not the devs
and have patience.. its not a get rich quick scheme
I'm an electrical engineer and programmer -- C, C++, C#, Java and Matlab -- , I work for General Electrics and we always work with ETA. Did we not, GE most likely wouldn't be a world leading electrics company because we wouldn't have any costumers. My suggestion for the devs is to set a due date, place it on the calendar wherever they want it, take as much time as they want BUT deliver by or on the set date. That will build confidence in the costumers, become a solid basis for a stable market-price and at the and of the day it will bring more profit into your/my/everyone's wallets. |

Actually if u read info correctly you will see posa v3 and onemarket both depend on Cecil to function although it is not entirely clear what part scripting will play in posa v3 and onemarket.
Now that you say it... yes, you are most likely correct. Fascinating! Anyway, I still uphold my 2 demands, trustless anon first and deliver it on or before due date, no more unkept promises and postponed releases. |

Great great! 2 thing worth noting. Firstly, prioritize, PoSA v3 first then you can build CECIL, CIARA -- does this project still exist? -- and OneMarket. Build the trustless anon wallet and then you can build everything else on a finely working platform. Secondly, you should give an ETA of development on PoSA v3, we have been sitting here long enough waiting for you to deliver and only hear more promises. If you need time, give yourselves a longer development period -- a month or 2 months or however much time you need but this time deliver on time, on the previously set date -- or before, should you finish your job earlier, noone will complain about delivering before due date I can guarantee that -- and don't push the release further away. |
