1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Burst.Today v1.6 released! (Windows UI for Burst mining) on: December 04, 2014, 03:52:52 PM
I have just published Burst.Today version 1.6, and its looking very promising. I have resolved the main issues with setting the reward recipient, and added several features for debugging. This new version points to the updated burstforms pool (burst.ga:8124) , which has been through many changes since I worked on this last.

Unfortunately, I have not had the time to test it out fully, I'm sure there are a few bugs left to chase down. I could really use some feedback on it, if any of you brave souls would be willing to give it a try and give me your thoughts I would be thankful!

Instructions and downloads are at:

Awesome!!

This is exactly the kind of thing we need more of.. not brave enough to risk trying it out myself and risk it overwriting something until it is well established though.

And just in general.. not a fan of closed source when it comes to crypto stuff because I'm worried it might try to steal my passwords.  Maybe I'm paranoid though.

No worries my friend! Burst.Today is completely open source, written in VB.NET and posted on GitHub. From the Burst.Today website menu at the top, go to Souce codes, and there are links to the source codes for the Burst.Today UI and Launcher applications.

The application installs to C:\Burst.Today\ so as long as you're not using that folder it shouldn't mess with any existing installs.

I made the first Burst.Today (Windows UI for Burst Coin) commit to github just now, and slightly updated the instructions. It is live now... but It really needs testing and I have not had the time... I would appreciate any feedback, Thanks!

why you need secret passphrase for plotting ?
[/quote]

That field creates a passphrase.txt  ( I may have read the original instructions maybe a bit too literally )

The app is still kind of screwy, and I have not smoothed out the process of setting up multiple plots, and I have not set it up to hook into the mining pool by default yet.

Initial screenshots for Burst.Today Windows Installer are up.

Only a few more things before I release the code & download link Grin

Good News, Everybody!

My Windows based installer seems to be working. It took till 3:30 am, but what the heck.

It downloads the files straight from Github

I've got the plotter plotting, the miner mining, and the wallet running from a single click.

I've still got quite a bit of work, some things are running out of order, it needs more testing, and I have to put it on Github...

Once its ready I will announce it here, and post everything to www.burst.today

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Burst.Today - Unofficial Burst Coin Website - Developing Windows Installation UI on: September 03, 2014, 06:10:30 PM
Hey folks, I'm working on building a windows installer for Burst Mining, and I will be hosting this at www.Burst.Today

I just grabbed the images from this forum, Do I have permission to use these images? I will make my own if need be.

I would like to arrange it with the Developers so that they can push uploads directly to to my FTP site instead of megaupload, or if I can get a direct download link to the latest version so I don't have to maintain updates.

Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations for this? I'm running Wordpress, there are lots of plugins I could implement.

I'm new to developing anything for crypto and I have a lot on my plate, so please be patient.

Thanks,
BTR
