what area of legal services do you provide advice for

In terms of the areas of law I specialise with, I can provide some further detail than my first post:

1. Litigation: I can advise both claimants and defendants on the entire process right from the initial contact between the parties, to negotiation, the court procedure and, if necessary, enforcing a court judgment. I've plenty of experience in commercial disputes, inheritance disputes, boundary disputes and so forth. If you have a particular dispute in mind, you can contact me and I'll let you know my relevant experience and whether I can assist.

2. Debt Recovery: I can assist businesses (both in the UK and elsewhere) to enforce debts against businesses and individuals in the UK using the court system.

3. Wills and Inheritance Planning: I've helped people to draft Wills for different sizes of estate.

4. Commercial Law: I can assist you in understanding how to run a business in the UK, including how to create and operate both limited companies and limited liability partnerships.

5. Property Transactions: I can advise on buying and selling property and other arrangements such as landlord and tenant.

plus how do we know you won't just google it up. how can i know your the real deal

I don't want to reveal my dox for fear of difficulties with my employer/regulator. However, I'm happy to accept an escrow arrangement. And if you contract with me you'll be able to see from the documents that I prepare and the advice that I give that I'm an experienced lawyer. If you contact me about a case outside my experience then I will refuse the work. I'm not interested in working in areas where I do not have appropriate experience.

I'm an experienced British lawyer wanting to offer legal services for sale privately by bitcoin. I can offer the following advantages:

1. Cheaper costs - I would have a lean profile compared to a traditional law firm and could pass this saving to my clients
2. Fixed fees instead of hourly rates, so that you know exactly what you were getting for how much money
3. Anonymity for issues which are particularly sensitive

Relevant services would include litigation advice such as analysis of prospects of success, drafting letters and court documents. I have worked in both a private and commercial context. I can also advise on wills and estate planning. I'm experienced in property transactions, including landlord/tenant. I have a general broad experience and so please get in touch with me if you want to chat about my assisting you in any way.

The question is do you offer a flate rate? or do you go by some crazy expensive $500 hr rate.

By avoiding the bloat of traditional law firms, I would pass a considerable saving onto my clients.

Due to the nature of bitcoins, I would propose fixed fee arrangements rather than an hourly rate. The fee could then be placed in escrow with a trusted third party and released when the agreed work was completed.

My real concern is that my experience is mostly focused on British law. It's probably only a small minority of forum users that are British and therefore perhaps I am fishing in a very small market. I wonder if there are any bitcoin blogs or news that focuses on the UK.

I like this idea but you may also want to start a thread in the Services section of the forum and try to contact Bitcoin news websites and blogs about your service.  Also it would be a good idea to think about posting your service on you account profile like the signature I have on my account so people can see you service and contact info every time you post on the forum.

Counter, thanks for these suggestions. Whilst I'm very experienced in law, I'm much less experienced in the world of bitcoin or marketing so I appreciate your thoughts.

I'm a British lawyer who is considering informally selling legal services for bitcoin as a personal project. I could assist people involved in or considering litigation, by advising them or drafting relevant documents and court forms, for example. I could also advise on contract law or commercial disputes of any kind.

I hope that it would appeal to people who required legal advice at a cheaper rate because I would avoid the full overhead of a law firm. Also, I may be able to offer anonymity to my client where the subject might be particularly sensitive, in a way that a traditional law firm could not.

However, I don't really know how I could market myself? If anyone has any suggestions then I would be grateful. How could I find a client base?
