2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New R-Box Upgrade Kit on: July 11, 2015, 06:42:03 PM
That, coupled with Jabberwock's apparent intention to make an SFARTS pod, kinda leans me toward the NRB board. Though a pod miner would still be cheaper and easier to prototype and manufacture, making it also quite attractive. Nuts.

lol whatever the decision, i have 5 gridseed pods collecting dust as well... i  am game either way, just thought i would point out that rockminer used the same boards and heatsinks for quite a few different miners.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New R-Box Upgrade Kit on: July 11, 2015, 05:49:22 PM
I for one have the big r-box, as well as the R-K miner (think it was essentially 4 110gh/s big r-boxes thrown on a tubular heatsink)  essentially that would allow me to upgrade 5 cards, and pretty much triple my entire hash power for less than a new s5 shipped from bitmain...  will have to look for sure but i do believe the heatsink and hash boards in the rk-miner and the big rbox are the same.

* after comparing the 2 it looks like the the r-k miners added a controller (possibly a teensy) on each hashboard,  but all in all same heatsink just 4x as many on the r-k miner and quite possibly the rockminer r-4

big rbox

r-k miner

r-4

so 3 miners utilizing the same form factor and heatsink :-)
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OSC]OpenSourcecoin Mandatory Update 7/1/14 on: July 11, 2015, 02:46:25 PM
Hey firefly on the wall ... maybe you can get Mullick to update the OSC wallet if he ever gets FFC up? Please Please!

-------

last time i caught Mullick in cryptsy chat his reasoning for OSC was the wallet was very bloated, FFC his excuse was large blockchain and very few nodes.  this however was almost a month ago, his reasons very well may have changed since then.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: July 10, 2015, 06:40:59 PM
ok so i have finally gotten a few s1's and cp2102 adapters successfully set up and hashing away, but i am at a loss as to why i am getting so very many HW errors.   running cgminer from firewalker with bmsc option enabled on the pi through minera (custom miner built renamed, and selected).

so far i have 8 boards running split into 2 clusters.

for the startup options i have
Code:
--bmsc-options 115200:25 --bmsc-freq 0781 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1 --lowmem --quiet

but i am getting like i said many hw errors (about 300 over a 30 minute span)  any ideas on how i could get those down to reasonable levels?

Code:
  total
ghs total           shares         ac      %ac    rejected  %rejected     hw errors      %hw errors   last share        last share time
390.05Gh/s   13849980988 933 25.75%      6    0.17% 2685            74.09% 1 secs ago Fri, 10 Jul 2015 18:43:31 GMT

not a problem, have had a few nibbles, but being my first trade i guess i should look into figuring out the whole escrow thing to put some minds at ease.
12  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] antminer blades s1/s3 on: April 11, 2015, 04:54:53 AM
yeah let me know what they say at the post office, i know i had to ship some climbing harnesses up that way from here not too long ago and it ate me up in shipping lol.
13  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] antminer blades s1/s3 on: April 11, 2015, 03:01:15 AM
What zip code would these items be shipping to? It'd help potential sellers know how much of that $20 it is going to cost to get the package to you.

noted and added to OP  Wink
14  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] antminer blades s1/s3 [delete pease] on: April 11, 2015, 01:58:31 AM
My son was looking for a weekend project, he showed some interest and asked me about the s1 controller mod as seen here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671128.0.

only problem is I got into the btc game well after the s1 was no longer profitable so i have none to disassemble.  He has given me roughly 20$ in BTC to try and get some blades, was checking here as ebay tends to be fairly overpriced

what i am looking for:

2-4 bitmain antminer s1 or s3 blades (only blades to reduce shipping cost)

trying to keep it under .084 BTC shipped (zip: 30533)

escrow is fine and will be used depending on trust level etc.etc.

check crazyguy's thread, or his site asicpuppy.net, he just recently got some in.
16  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB simple little Wal Wart, but having trouble pinning one down, frustrated :/ on: March 12, 2015, 03:32:15 AM
digikey may be better help than radioshack, i usually go around the house and check to see if i have plugs of similar size and take one with me if i have to go to the shack or frys

glad to see some definite steps forward, granted I started mining FFC based solely on my gravitational nerdiness to the syfy channel spinoff.  However over the past few months I have found myself mining quite a bit and more-so I must say I feel that even though I came around "late" in the crypto time frame of things, there is still alot going on with this coin.

sadly i think cryptsy's wallet is on a fork Sad awaiting confirmation, but just withdrew about 2500 hyp, and an hour later the txid is still not showing up in any of the block explorers Sad

edit* confirmed their wallet is ~200 blocks ahead of the  http://hyp.cryptocoinexplorer.com/  height....

sonofabitcoin... cryptsy support always sucks balls

edit#2  according to cryptsy, i need to update my wallet because theirs is 200 blocks off

I just sent 25 HYP from cryptsy to myself, and it came right in. They are on the correct chain.

odd, then i wonder why the block explorer is showing my tx as not found almost 4 hours and counting
