1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S3+ (BM1382) Overclocking with voltage setting on: January 03, 2015, 06:11:58 AM
So if I follow your chart right I can do ~450 GH/s at 240 watts with this? What firmware version do I need to be running?

Take a second look. I took 380 Watt for 450 GH/s. I am using latest software from bitmain ( from 19.12.2014 ) It seems to be more stable about constant hashrate.

Did you change the voltage? Seems like most people are getting it to work, so I'm assuming you're doing something wrong.
Let me do a wild guess: You never read a message before posting a reply ?!

Let me guess, your a fucking asshole, douche bag? I seriously hate the people on this forum. There's some dumb fucks floating around; for sure.

Thought my pair of S5's would ship on 08 Jan. but got notice they shipped yesterday (via BitMain on Amazon).

Pretty sure the stuff on amazon is an unofficial reseller.

No, they were official Bitman sales of B2 & B3 (at a small markup.) with the same stated shipping dates.

The only ones I see on amazon are from three resellers:

You have to pay better attention.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=167.0

New forum software is in development and is supposed to be finished in a matter of months if I'm not mistaken.

From what I understood the new forum Software that is in Developement is another version of Simple machines forum , Correct ? Or it's completly new ? if not ... Because I was speaking about MyBB , vBulletin etc ... which are totally better from Security and design then Simple machines .

No. The new forum software is being written entirely from scratch, and it uses Node.js. Not PHP like all the ones you've been mentioning.

So it'll be completely useless to people who don't have Javascript enabled then? Dumb.

JS can pose quite a security risk and a lot of people disable it. Kind of surprising coming from the BTC community, where everybody seems obsessed with security issues.

It's open-source and the code WILL be audited by someone. On top of that, anyone can audit the code actually.

I'm not necessarily talking about the forum code itself. Hopefully user input will be heavily sanitized, because a user could easily use a form field (i.e; this post box, or the title field) to inject malicious code into the site, and use javascript to force a malware download or the like.

The bylaws make dissolution impossible as well.

Not from what I see. It makes it impossible for dissolution to go to a vote of the general members aka due paying members. The board of directors can vote for a dissolution if they see fit. That portion of the by-laws is covering what an individual who is not a director can vote on.

You can use VMWare or a different virtual machine application if you wish to run Windows in a separate window, while still being booted into Mac OS X. Keep in mind that it may run slowly, because your computer processor is being used for two operating systems at once.

Alternatively, you can boot into Windows directly by installing the Bootcamp software. When you start up your Mac computer, there will be an option to choose between Mac OS X and Windows. This is the best option in my opinion.

Another option is to try Parallels, which will attempt to run the Windows application directly, without booting up Windows in a virtual machine. This software is not guaranteed to work all the time.

Parallels is a virtual machine... it just has better integration between the two OSes that are running, giving the illusion it's a operating directly in Mac OS. It is indeed running a full version of Windows. I've used it on my MacBook Pro, honestly it's not worth paying for.... use Virtual Box.

What did you film with? I'm assuming a Nikon DSLR, but what model?

i shot with the red scarlet in 2K 75 fps

Nice. Ever tried the new blackmagic designs cameras? Been eyeing the BM production camera as something to purchase.

I contacted Bitmain and I want to warn all customers,  bitmain this is war. You sent me two bad miners that would have started a fire if I wasn't home and they won't give me new miners as replacement. I am going to report this the the FTC and also enter them on the mail fraud list. I went through all this with another mining company. They are starting a war with the wrong guy. I returned the miners within days but they refuse to accept a return. Only to put a bandaid on these fire traps and send them back to me. complete B.S. and not legal either. I also asked about refunding money and they said the amount would be so low they would give me would be a very low amount and no where near what I paid. Unbelievable....

What the hell is the FTC going to do? They're a Chinese-based company. The FTC has no legal authority over a company in China.

14  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer U2 not working with Cgminer 4.8.0 on: December 31, 2014, 09:05:27 PM
I've had this problem too.

I have eight U2s and half of them would show the same ZOMBIE status, then they would cycle through and eventually stabilize, but long term I just switched back to MultiMiner with them, since I had been using it before and it was (and still is) completely stable with them. Not sure what the issue is with CGMiner.
15  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: MobileMiner: Monitor & Control your Farm from your Browser or Phone w/Open API on: December 31, 2014, 08:59:19 PM

Edit: scratch that. In reviewing the network scan code I see I remove the local PC IP addresses as an optimization. So for now (until I fix that) you'll need to quit MultiMiner and edit the NetworkDevicesConfiguration.xml file (found in %appdata%\MultiMiner on Windows) and add an entry manually, e.g.:

Code:
 <NetworkDevice>
    <IPAddress>10.X.Y.Z</IPAddress>
    <Port>4028</Port>
    <Sticky>true</Sticky>
    <Hidden>false</Hidden>
    <RecentCommands />
  </NetworkDevice>

Got ya... I set-up another computer to use MultiMiner directly for all the other hardware I have, and the CGMiner process is being detected there (as a network device), so as you said it's the local IP address thing, since the other computer is seeing it.
16  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.0.0: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, BlackArrow Prospero, KnC Nep. on: December 31, 2014, 08:52:06 PM
What's the proper syntax for BFGMiner to clock a GridSeed five blade up to the correct speed? It should be set to 800 if I'm not mistaken to get 340KH/s. I'm only getting about 200KH/s so I'm assuming it defaults to a 600 setting?

Code:
--set gsd:clock=800

I use 835 myself.

Thanks, works perfect.
17  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.9.0 on: December 31, 2014, 05:33:03 PM
Be aware, zadig and silabs drivers don't play nice with each other on the same machine, as well as the possibility that the port/hub assignments may change when you disconnect/restart the pc.

Wouldn't expect anything else with bitcoin mining. Seems like there's a lot of this non-cross compatibility with drivers, mining software, and hardware. No wonder why it'll probably never go mainstream.
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.9.0 on: December 31, 2014, 04:39:35 PM
Is there anyway to disable a specific type of hardware unit? I have eight Antminer U2s that I don't want CGMiner controlling but I want it to control my RockMiner New R-Box.
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: MobileMiner: Monitor & Control your Farm from your Browser or Phone w/Open API on: December 31, 2014, 04:19:29 PM

You don't need to actually perform the mining with MultiMiner. MultiMiner will automatically detect any other miners on your network as long as their RPC API is enabled. You can monitor and manage those miners from within MultiMiner and benefit from MobileMiner support.

https://github.com/nwoolls/MultiMiner/wiki/Network-Devices#network-devices

So run CGMiner (however you want) using the --api-listen, --api-port and --api-allow commands and you should be all set. MultiMiner will pick up the miners and submit them to MobileMiner. There's a "Network Only" option under Settings > Advanced Settings specifically for this scenario where MultiMiner will not, itself, be mining.

Try to configure the CGMiner config for this to work:

This is what I got:

Code:
{
"pools" : [
{
"url" :,
"user" :,
"pass" :
}
]
,
"anu-freq" : "250.0",
"api-description" : "cgminer 4.9.0",
"api-mcast-addr" : "224.0.0.75",
"api-mcast-code" : "FTW",
"api-mcast-des" : "",
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"no-submit-stale" : true,
"api-listen" : true,
"api-allow" : "W:10.0.0.1/24, W:127.0.0.1",
"api-port" : "4028",
"api-host" : "0.0.0.0",
"au3-freq" : "225.0",
"au3-volt" : "750",
"bflsc-overheat" : "85",
"bitburner-voltage" : "1200",
"bitburner-fury-voltage" : "900",
"bxf-bits" : "54",
"bxf-debug" : "0",
"bxf-temp-target" : "82",
"bxm-bits" : "54",
"cta-load" : "0",
"ps-load" : "0",
"expiry" : "120",
"hfa-hash-clock" : "550",
"hfa-fail-drop" : "10",
"hfa-temp-overheat" : "95",
"hfa-temp-target" : "88",
"hotplug" : "5",
"log" : "5",
"nfu-bits" : "50",

"queue" : "1",
"rock-freq" : "270.0",
"scan-time" : "60",
"shares" : "0",
"suggest-diff" : "0"
}

But MultiMiner isn't picking it up. I'm running MM on the same computer as CGMiner.
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CarnotJet Liquid Cooling Solution on: December 31, 2014, 01:22:05 PM
IITravel,

I am sorry, but GR Cooling's system is designed for large scale industrial cooling, and would not be a good fit for anything home based.

Cheers,
GR Cooling

If I could get a rough estimate, what would a set-up with twenty SpondooliesTech SP35 units and about two hundred 1kw (custom built) webservers (they would vary between 1U and 2U units) cost for your cooling system?
