The end of the year is coming and I've been thinking about taxes. This could effect everyone in here, too, if you are rolling over your profits.

I'm starting to guess that the hashlets I've purchased with BTC are all going to be taxed at 25% (my taxable income percentage.)
The words that come to mind when I think about that are quite unsettling. Especially since I can't prove that these are even real.
So I paid for something questionably real with what some people think is "questionably" real currency. AND GET CHARGED 25%.

If it is real, then seriously no big deal.          Thoughts???

The hashlets arnt taxable but the profits u admit to are. You could say the BTC you have is over a year old and it would be taxed with capital gains tax at 15.

Yes I am in the US to everyone asking. Other countries are very lucky they are not taxed. Like Canada's "We'll look at it in 5 years plan."

What under the IRS makes these hashlets not taxable? Are other purchases for tangible goods taxable? And if you purchase another commodity like silver or gold how does that get handled?

Something has to be going on with the payout or fee system. I have two furies here at the house that don't do much but still are grossing 0.00079367 BTC in the last 24hr.

And that is through Clever mining. I agree it isn't much minus the $.08 but it should be more than what they are paying.

If they speak the truth then good. If they are lying then; well that will just end up in court.

So it is up to them. But I have about a grand invested in them so.. Yep. And that to me is a shitload.
I really wish someone could make myself feel better, but it is what it is. I

Anyways. There is always tomorrow.
