MoneroX GUI screenshots:

This GUI is from last century?
Windows 3.1 Grin

MoneroX is entirely written by a 17 year old. What were you doing when you were 17?

Oh, my bad - let me rephrase: what will you have done by the time you turn 17?

And if that isn't to your liking, then maybe the Monero Core GUI is more up your alley. You can even compile the code and play around with the GUI (incomplete and not wired up, but fun to play with) - https://github.com/monero-project/monero-core

Here are some screen shots from this century:

Best of all, the GUI is native (Qt) and a cheap hack using HTML.

Badass 17 year old 😊

I have downloaded MoneroX for Windows (https://github.com/Jojatekok/MoneroGui.Net/releases).

Installation was standard (extract & click .exe-file). Launched a good looking graphical wallet and prompted to create password.

Unfortunately my old PC is too slow to run Bitmonerod.

Has anyone else done the installation and ran MoneroX? It looks really neat! Highly recommend it! Kudos to Jojatekok!

Congratulation Jojatetok! But https://github.com/Jojatekok/MoneroGui.Net/releases/download/v1.0.0/MoneroGui.Net-v1.0.0-Linux-x64.zip seems to be Windows binary (MoneroGui.Net.exe)
The Mono .NET Framework and Gtk# must be installed on Linux before running MoneroX. I'll update the original post to contain installation instructions for Linux.
Any chance to get a turnkey solution, à la Windows?

David,

I just downloaded the Zip file (https://github.com/Jojatekok/MoneroGui.Net/releases), extracted it and launched the .exe file. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately Bitmonerod is eating all my resources and PC is very slow.

Looks super awesome! Thank you! Good job!

Neteller has been down for 12h now...  Site is not responding. Won't trust my XMR/BTC/Fiat into their Net+ card.

I have a couple of nice, short (xmr.) domains.
Would like the idea to use them. I don't need to earn, just to make something that can be good for this coin.
So, domain + hosting = I have. Idea = I don't and would like suggestion(s).
I am good in php and SQL. OK with javascript too.
I know it's not much of knowledge, but that I can offer.

we badly need some explorer, chainradar is out there but there used to be a better one called monerochain.info and it disappeared a few months ago.

something nice with charts and stats like transactions per day, hash, difficulty, etc.

Agree 100%. I'm interested to see how Monero ecosystem will grow. Especially by developers outside core team. Price/value will increase when large audience jumps in and drives demand up. Until there are applications for large audience like MyMonero and REAL usage for the currency we are in mercy of investors and I don't see a reason why price would go up (besides speculation). At the same time current value is heavily discounted for the long term opportunity.

Last 24 hours 120k Moneros was traded. That can be compared with best days. When price was 3 times higher that was 500 btc.

But no matter the price and reward decreasing, Hash rate is still over 15 MH/s, what is more than half of the maximum ever.

After seeing emission rate, everyone was able to see that there was tiny chance that Monero would gain nice price till this end of year and those low chance was for long time actually on sight. But then also it was seen there is tiny chance that price would not be much higher at end of next year. At some point next year it will just happen the Monero hunger. When? Who knows.

Is there a list or directory of businesses using Monero? I would like to understand business demand for the currency. Thank you!
