2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin doomed as this scholar believes? on: December 28, 2014, 07:23:33 PM
I've heard a lot of negative statements about the present and future of bitcoin. Some people believe that bitcoin economy will collapse, and bitcoin is something similar to a Ponzi scheme. Despite all these statements bitcoin community expands, and a large companies begin to accept bitcoin.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for 2014 Bitcoin industry awards! on: December 28, 2014, 07:14:10 PM
I think that Paypal and Microsoft did most of all for the development of bitcoin community. Because they are large companies whitch have a great reputation. And the fact that they began to accept bitcoin has a great importance for the development of bitcoin community.

It is possible that bitcoin will never become a full-fledged currency. But judging by the latest news in the next few years the role bitcoin as a means of payment will gradually increase.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A country backed by [btc] instead of fiat ... that would be something ... on: December 28, 2014, 06:39:52 PM
It's impossible at the moment. There is no country that will accept investments in bitcoin officially, because bitcoin is not recognized as an official means of payment in any country in the world at the moment.

I think that in the statements of Jeffrey Robinson a lot of speculations and errors. Most of his arguments are not supported by concrete facts and evidences. I think that in this way he is promoting himself.

Do you offer a mechanism by which users exchange their currency directly to each other, and the web site performs a search of buyers and sellers and has no access to their funds? Am I right?

Maybe you buy bitcoin not in right time. Bitcoin is not only currency, but also an investment tool. If you're illiterate to deal with investment instruments, you can lose your money.

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Does Bitcoin Need? on: December 24, 2014, 12:47:53 PM
I think that the confirmation time of transaction at the moment is quite optimal and reducing it does not make any sense. It would be quite useful to improve security. But most of all bitcoin needs to expand its recognition and distribution.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And 2014's Worst Currency Was...Bitcoin (Bloomberg) 12/23/14 on: December 24, 2014, 12:40:57 PM
In my opinion, the author of this article is rights. The drop of btc price is significant compared to the price at the beginning of 2014 year. But the author does not take into account that bitcoin is a young currency, and at the moment the market is in the process of determining the fair price. At this stage, high volatilely is quite normal.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I see bitcoin as a ponzi scheme on: December 22, 2014, 05:43:00 PM
1. I don't agree with any statement of the author;
2. Ponzi is an organization in which the income of the early investors are paid from later investors. Bitcoin a virtual currency and has nothing to do with Ponzi.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you like to get paid in Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2014, 05:35:53 PM
