3  Other / Off-topic / [ANN] [ZooBC] First draft of ZooBC blockchain platform white paper is out! on: September 21, 2019, 08:08:22 AM
Hello everyone! My name is Roberto Capodieci and I am a blockchain architect.

I been working since a few months ago, with a team of almost 50 people, on a new blockchain platform named ZooBC.

The first draft of the white paper is out, and I need your feedback!
Furthermore, if you find the project interesting, you are welcome to support us!

NOTE: This is NOT an ICO paper! ZooBC has NO pre-mined coins, so no crypto investments to do... Yet if you will be between the firsts to run a node, you can put together quite some coins! How cool would have been to be there at the early days of Bitcoin? Well, you can be part of the early days of ZooBC!

Follow the progress from today on our forum, support ZooBC project, and make it a success for everyone's good!

Start by helping with the white paper!

You can download and read the PDF version here:
https://zoobc.com/ZooBC%20Whitepaper%20Draft%20-%20V0.1.pdf

You can leave edit suggestions and comments in the Google Doc here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RHbDHHH0JlAfU8bdgfawbnvlm-Ng_Tq-VA7P-n1p_80

White paper is TL;DR? Watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Imu9W1mFdQ to learn why ZooBC blockchain uses a Proof of Participation algorithm!

Thank you for your support!!!

Red allert!

I contacted Hellas verona, they have nothing to do with jetcoin right now!
sold it all good lucky trying to pull your money out. not much buy orders..

Dont believe me? just contact them and they will tell you the same they did to me.

Quite a lame complain you do (out of all that can be done): just because they sponsor someone else you think is the case to sell it all?

If it is pure speculation it is now time to hodl!

Hi Yakamoto,
the guy is quite eclectic, he has songs about every subject. I guess more on cryptocurrencies and blockchain will come up, mostly depends on the response he gets (so helping promote the bitcoin song will help more song on the theme to come up).

His FB page is https://www.facebook.com/jonnyfreeshmusic

You can find there news on his work!

Rob

Well, it's not a terrible song, but I think there some things that can be improved upon.

For people who actually know what the song is referring to, or are in "the know" related to Bitcoin, it's a pretty accurate (and somewhat entertaining) song.

I think that the concept is great. Will there be more of these? I want to see the progress as this rapper makes more music.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Dump Your Bank - the rap song that promote Bitcoin! on: March 12, 2016, 02:32:22 AM
A song you gotta hear: #DumpYourBank

Listen to the song in SoundCloud

#DumpYourBank

Verse 1

I ain't choose to bank
the banks enslaved me
ever since I was a childrens i been payin fees
and now i'm *#!kin pissed
at this grimy system
goldman's pinchin' my shillins with all the lies they spittin
they take your moolah and say that they're gonna save it
and that's the reason these charges are on your statement
but the truth is so far from the s*#! they tell us
they take your cheddar and lend it to other fellas
at downright shameful rates
to people with no money
so that they end up indebted until their grave is muddy
if you can't pay it back
they repossess your home
and every item with some value that you ever owned
then when their faulty system breaks and has a major crash
they print more paper to save it but then it makes your cash
worth significantly less than it's value when you earned it
inflation is the way they keep us as indentured servants

Hook 1
Dump Your Bank Bro
they're nothin but a bunch of crooks

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
demand they show what's in their books

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
the people wanna know the truth

Dump
Your
Bank

Dump Your Bank Bro
they best stop stealin all our loot

Dump
Your
Bank

Verse 2

don't think that, this rap is just about me b*#!hin
bout some crap, that's got me feeling like a victim
lets look past, the bankers actin mad illicit,
and face facts, it's bound to happen in this system
when profit is by law their #1 priority
it's comes as no surprise they're treatin people horribly
the corporate life's a race where sheep are forced to greed
you turn em into rats and of course they're hordin cheese
but you can, choose to see past this illusion
if you stand, up and move to new solutions
here's the annn, swer to this financial pollution
lets demand, to decentralize the ones who rule it
i'm talkin bout that bitcoin yes you best believe
where no one's in control no central powers gets to freeze
your funds if they decidin they ain't likin what you do
If you like your freedom I think bitcoin is for you

Hook 2
same as Hook 1

Bridge 1

Dump Your Bank Bro
Dump Your Bank
Get Some Bitcoin
Dump Your Bank Bro

Dump Your Bank Bro
Dump Your Bank
Get Some Bitcoin
Dump Your Bank Brooooo

Bridge 2

if you like the idea of money that's secure
that you can send for a penny anywhere on the earth
in 20 minutes no kiddin ain't no bulls*#! boy

Hook
Dump Your Bank Bro

So could you show an actual prototype demonstration ? Would be great to see

At the moment is too ugly to see Smiley and in many parts (code in a computer, audio interface in a module, keyboard and display are not the one that will be in the final product, etc).

By the end of the year we will provide a video of something that will make sense at the eyes of a viewer.

Working hard now! Smiley

R
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Sound Key - Safe Offline Transaction Signing on: November 04, 2015, 12:32:21 AM

For now full focus on the working prototype and the correct selection of the best components to guarantee quality, processing power, and yet not too expensive. The goal to achieve a good numbers of pre-orders eill allow us to get certain custom made boards with processors, keyboard, and disply already embedded (rather than mounted). Will be cheaper and will make the sound key smaller.

So backers are backing a prototype not a end product?

Backers are backing a finished product that will be sent to them operational and working. To get there we need backers Smiley We are at prototype level now, and are still working. Usually this is how those indiegogo campaign works, I backed several myself between Indiegogo and kickstarter.

Forum members are wary of pre-orders, many having been burnt in past. Without a demo of a working prototype I think you are going to have a hard time getting money here.

I hear you! Well, we will show off our working prototype in a couple of months, I will wait the wave of order from the forum after the end of the campaign then Smiley

13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Sound Key - Safe Offline Transaction Signing on: November 03, 2015, 04:07:12 PM
Do you have any prototypes or working versions you could show us?

Hi, we are working on a structure to then build the final board for the production. There are several phases to go through, and we did overcome the more important and difficult (we have the certainty that it works), now we are in parallel working on the right components and the first algo code (to process bitcoin transactions and alts that are bitcoin clones when it comes to transaction structure and signature).

Once this is done we have an additional functionality (still top secret) that will blow people minds Smiley

Help us!!! we are at day 2, bring us some good luck Smiley

NOTE: we are backed by private investors, so the project goes ahead independently from the result of the indiegogo campaign, yet receiving a good quantity of pre-orders 1) validates the idea (and this helps) and 2) as I mentioned above helps us to straight to larger production with advantages for the results!

Nice initiative.

It would be nice if you could offer custom version of the games that reward directly the sponsor token/asset/coin without going through an exchange.

I suggest you explore nxtforum.org as the NXT platform has many assets and many assets creators may be interested in having their assets used as reward.

Please don't stop Roberto!..I haven't had this much fun in a while over here!

It's fun to see that the "Bitcoin Mothers" Are still clutching to their babies trying to save them from the IMAGINARY pack of Wild NXT Dingo's..

It will be a rude awakening when they do figure out that we are not the enemy and Bitcoin isn't the ONLY solution, but all  of us are in this together to make a better world

Oh noooo the PoW vs the PoS debate Tongue

I never visualized BTc fanboys as "mothers"... the only mental image of miners I have is this very cute one:

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] launching Jetcoin - Supporting Tomorrow's Champions on: June 30, 2015, 08:54:14 AM

'Roberto', your use of the English language nearly exactly matches that of 'Eric Alexandre'.  Do not worry, as we are not going to waste the time or resources confirming that statement.  What is true is that you in fact did comment on the comment.

We are both non English mother tongue, he is French, I am Italian (just go to https://jetcoininstitute.com/#board to see our faces not so hard of a research to do) this may be the reason why our English language is similar? You may NOT apply at some sort of law enforcement, as your investigative skills are quite low (first for using a name that is already used, then for claiming two different people are the same)

Or you use the troll attitude to defend yourself as you feel guilty?

As an adviser to the fake entity known as the 'Jetcoin Institute', perhaps a higher degree of research should have been implemented before any advice was presented to peers in the circle of mistrust being conveyed through the real entity of Ikon Media Pte Ltd.

Play a little investigative game with me: go to http://www.bizfile.gov.sg and type jetcoin in the search field. You will see that Jetcoin Institute is a registered business, not a fake entity (and pay attention to your claims in a public forum)

Had such research been conducted, it would have been clearly known that the real Jetcoin has been in existence since 2001, long before opportunists not located in Singapore laid a claim within the UK and brought in photoshop for a stake that truly does not exist in Italy.  Any such claims to copyrights and trademarks are simply invalid.

Is it? Link please. It would be of great interest to me.

You have a registered company with "jetcoin" in the name? Open since 2001? Are you Satoshi Nakamoto?

It is just interesting to see the representatives of this project get on the defensive as if it has done something questionable in which it truly has.  So, we are writing this to provide awareness on such issues as a statement from us can easily yield 20,000+ views here on bitcointalk alone without a single penny spent on such raising of awareness.  Everyone on the planet needs to be aware of this very matter and we will most likely fail to attain such a goal.

To me the one on the defence attitude is you. I am an advisor and at the end of the day I can give less of a s**t of all this debate. I am replying as you are quoting my comment, and I find it respectful to reply. I take a laugh to your accusation, and I reply to them.

Let us not forget that we were in fact approached with both a statement and threat of action that simply isn't true.  We are now on day two on this path of enlightenment on ways the project is conducting business.  In fact, we have never once claimed any patent in Jetcoin.  So do not mislead this forum or potential clients with language that is intentionally confusing to the average person.

Me? Not sure what you are referring to.

We have never cloned your non-existent product and everyone with access to Google can easily confirm this fact.  In fact, it only takes less than 30 minutes to produce a quality NXT clone and that time period includes installing Ubuntu.  Everyone knows that we are not into NXT or any of its derivatives and we will not produce a product based on that platform due to various reasons.  For anyone to state that we cloned your product, including you, is simply ludicrous.  It is true, however, that the non-existent entity you represent did in fact utilize our work and we have never authorized any external entity to do so.

Oh, sorry, misunderstanding. I meant cloning the brand. Not the technology. Jetcoin has mobile apps so far, I doubt you have cloned any of those. I meant that if I do a dark beverage with my own recipe and call it coca cola I am cloning coca in the means that users get confused, and if coca cola has spent a lot of money promoting their brand they can be quite upset with me. If, tho, my grand-grand-grand-grand father had a shop selling drinks named coca cola in 1700 I may stand a chance to prove they did copied me, and not the other way around. If you are in business with a jetcoin since 2001 as you claim above, then full respect you are the one entitled to the name.

For you to say that our real product is a clone or similar in any way is just not true.  What we are working on is completely different and will never be the same just as Chrysler makes an 'Engine', Ford also makes an 'Engine'.  Any five year old can grasp the concept of the preceding sentences with great ease.

Ford is named FORD not CHRYSLER. A 3 years old can grasp the concept.

It is shame that anyone has spent any amount of funds on advertising this.  We can only surmise that those funds where also obtained in a questionable fashion as well.  We will repeat this:  do not mislead anyone with false statements.  We have never used any funds that you claimed we have utilized.  Your statement clearly and without doubt misrepresents the facts as we have never had access to any funds in which you stated that we used.  We find such language to be outrageous if not slanderous as well.

Again, blame my English, what I meant (and a 3 years old can grasp the concept) is that using the same name that someone else paid to promote, you are enjoying the effect of the advertisement made by someone else. You better understand this, because it is possibly the main claim Jetcoin lawyers will do against your jetcoin. If today I come out with my own car with an engine so you are happy, and I call it Ferrari, and it is red with a horse in the logo, then I may get traction with the public because people may think wrongly that my cars are in fact those of that famous brand named "Ferrari". Now, Jetcoin (not you, the other one) has sponsored a Series A soccer team. That costs a lot of money. You may end up misleading people thinking your product is in fact that one that is promoted in the soccer team t-shirts. It is a simple concept, I hope you can understand it. I am saying it just for you, as I have nothing to do with all this.

To summarize, you are right in that you are not an expert.  We doubt that you truly understand blockchain technology and are amused that you are an 'adviser' in such a field.  You nor those that you claim you do not represent do not have permission to use our work and continued use of it is a clear violation of our rights.

Well, I maybe not into the blockchain technology since 2001 as you (wow), but believe me I have my share of knowledge in this field. I have no interest whatsoever for you to have any interest on me anyways. I pull myself out of this discussion, and wish you the best of luck with your coin and fast mining project (which is cool, btw).

be less arrogant and life will smile to you. Take some cool advices from other users, and yes, this is bitcointalk anyways, I almost forgot...

Everyone else, don't buy more popcorns as this ends here (on my side).

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] launching Jetcoin - Supporting Tomorrow's Champions on: June 30, 2015, 02:25:58 AM
While I have no comments on the above conversation - again, I am an advisor for blockchain technology with Jetcoin, so my duty is to advise on technical solutions hoping to be listened - I find quite questionable the way things are managed.

Just for the sake of it, here are some other dates (it would have been an easier claim to make, rather to pretend to have patents that can't be proven):

Domains registrations of the original Jetcoin:

https://www.namecheap.com/domains/whois/results.aspx?domain=jetcoin.io
First Registered : 2014-06-27

http://who.is/whois/jetcoin.institute
First Registered : August 15, 2014

http://who.is/whois/jetcoininstitute.com
First Registered : February 08, 2015

Domain registration of the clone:

http://who.is/whois/jetcoin.org
First Registered : May 25, 2015

So, beside the silly way of handling a dispute, if we go down to facts, unless I am missing something on the clone side, the clone it is clearly a clone that is using the publicity cash spent by the original Jetcoin to get traction. IMO.

The logo are also somehow similar...

Now, while the word "Jet" and the word "coin" are very much used, and this can be a real incident and not a premeditated cloning, one thing I do now for sure, is that the "original" jetcoin has loads of cash to spend in legal fees, so I really hope it will not go in that direction Sad

Jetcoin Institute has spent a lot in advertising in the past year and it is an easy claim to say someone else is both enjoying that promotion as the name is similar, and claiming damages for the image. The copyright law - if I recall correctly as I am not an expert - claims that when no registration is made the first public appearance of the brand (in a newspaper, fro example) is a valid claim for a copyright.

Roberto

NOTE: the one above is just my personal opinion as a user of this forum, and DOES NOT represent the views and voice of Jetcoin Institute in any way.

I have one word for you

marketing.

This.  I think they should focus more on getting developer-entreprenuers to build on top of NXT than spending time marketing it here at the useless people of the BTT altcoin section.  Cheesy

NXT is something you just don't rule out.  Their team and community seems determined to see it through whether success is attained or not.  That's good to see.

Seriously, NXT is the best coin.

Not forked from BTC, it is quite impressive to use. The HTML wallet will blow you away. Features like the Asset Exchange are unbelievable, and the level of general development from so many in the community is astounding. I'm definitely hodling this coin.

Yes, the initial release was extremely unconventional. So was Dash's - and it's number 4.
