1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Bitcoin community itself centrally controlled? on: September 15, 2015, 08:19:44 AM
Right now I'm sure the busiest crypto websites are the exchanges, which means a lot of people get their info and rumours in trollboxes.  It's a conflict of interest for the exchanges to moderate the majority of all discussion in the crypto community.

LOL. Who gets their info from something called a trollbox. If people listen to the rumours that trolls spread then I honestly don't know what to say to them. I guess this is why the bitcoin economy is powered by fud and unsubstantiated rumours.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST FREE FOOTBALL BETS #1 TIPSTER✔(W483/L147)PREMIUM PICKS FOR ONLY 0.01 BTC!!! on: September 01, 2015, 08:24:24 AM
Here is a free one: Manchested united @2.3 probably lower now, betted yesterday.

I think United are going to struggle away at Swansea. They've been playing poor recently and Swansea are on form. Not a safe bet at all.

You were right. Man United have lost. Within five 5 minutes they gave game out of hands. I doubt that under Van Gaal they will ever play great football.

I hesitated when I saw the odds for manchester united is high above 2 and my doubts right and turns Manchester United lost, it really makes bookie so rich: D

That's why it's never a safe bet to put money on the favourites, and you should also consider the form of the other team more closely. United have been playing very poor and were lucky to grab wins in their other games that they only won 1-0.

What a poor game from Barcelona.

Yeah, their first goal was great though. Nice play by Suarez and Messi. Barca always seem to struggle against Bilbao.
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Moroccan dies in suitcase while smuggled to Spain on: August 04, 2015, 08:44:16 AM
I don't even understand how someone could voluntarily put themselves into a suitcase or not stand it for long at least. The CIA used to use a torture method of locking people in large suitcases or boxes and you start to panic and overheat after a short while.

The only time I have ever had luck with betting on sports was taking the advice of my friends or people on this forum.  Cheesy

I prefer to do my own research but I always take into consideration others opinions. I usually only bet on premier league and there's a lot of sites that also predict the scores etc so I have them bookmarked.

Speaking of Premier League I really can't wait for it to start next month.
6  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: July 06, 2015, 12:41:54 PM
Well given all these reports and circumstance, please tell me my account and funds on PD are secure!?!

No i guess. Because if it happened to me it can happen to anyone else. And after you have that kind of problem primedice support will only say your funds are gone. If it is gone we cannot do anything else. If gone then it is gone. Sad but what they answer was that.

But isn't that the nature of bitcoin? If someone steals your funds then there's nothing you can do unfortunately.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Appeal to early adopters! Be responsible! on: July 06, 2015, 12:27:56 PM
I'm seeing boasting posts in exchange chat rooms about dumping of ltc. Looks like some early adopters having enought bitcoints converted them to ltc in order to boost up panic about Greece default.

So, rich guys byuing ltc ,making it $5-6 and others think that it all because of Greece and will make price 9-10 recently. But Greece citizens can't even get their own money from banks how they can move them to cryptocurrency?

They can buy bitcoins bit by bit. If thousands were doing this it would all add up to a nice amount of new bitcoin users getting on board. I think the price is more to do with other people buying bitcoins based on this news, though.
8  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to become an escrow? on: June 20, 2015, 02:30:17 PM
I guess everything has already been said, but you need lots and lots of experience in doing trades on here and preferably lots of feedback to back that up. Once you are a respected member of the community then you can try do escrow,
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST FREE SOCCER/FOOTBALL BETS #1✔✔✔(W290/L90)PREMIUM PICKS FOR ONLY 0.01 BTC!!! on: June 07, 2015, 11:35:39 AM
Lots of international frendlies on today, not sure if Joca is interested in any of these games for predictions/picks today.
Personally I'm not going to have a bet on any of them as it's the end of the season, the players are tired & might not be motivated to play 100% plus the coaches might try young players & make lots of changes.

Friendlies can be unpredictable as managers often play new players or test things out but that's what makes them enjoyable. I just put £20 on Rooney to score and England win. Got a few smaller bets on 1-1, 2-1, 3-1 to England.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: New Linux(tails) Virus? on: May 20, 2015, 06:26:22 PM
i thought Linux viruses were very rare because you need to give them privileges to do anything. I have not heard of tails yet.

They are rare, but not impossible. However, this guy is talking about tails which I've not heard of a virus infecting it. Make sure you download a safe copy and run it from a live cd and you should be fine.

yeah shitty day on me .
i thought chelsea will win that one , to keep their record. but its not happened damn.

i bet on chelsea too, and lost so much. but i think both of teams played their best. liverpool made many nice chances and finally Mou subtituted Loftus for Matic. I predicted chelsea will try to get a win for next match until the end of season although chelsea use reserve players, because they maybe try get mourinho attention to make their way to main squad.

Chelsea have already won the league so there's no pressure, not to mention they've been playing mediocre recently. A lot of pundits went for a draw though. Arsenal should win by a couple of goals tonight.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good Bitcoin Analogy :-) on: April 27, 2015, 08:33:51 AM
Sure the analogy is apt. And like lockers your bitcoin wallet can also be hacked into and your money stolen if you're not careful with your security  Grin.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 Halving: Could It Actually Kill BTC? on: April 11, 2015, 09:40:07 AM
I'm really looking forward to seeing what effect the halving will have on bitcoin's price. I think most people are expecting it to rise but I guess it only will if the demand for coins is higher then. Given that its not till next year I think we'll have a lot more mainstream adoption by then so hopefully it will happen.
14  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [03-22-2015] Coinbase Hits 2.1m Users Milestone on: March 24, 2015, 04:25:13 PM
I haven't used Coinbase myself personally, but it does seem to be the go-to exchnage for Americans, providing your ok with providing all the relevant documentation.

once they can speed up buy/sell times, they will make btc a lot more useable on a day to day basis.  spending your btc, then having to wait to replenish your btc makes it hard to use regularly

I think there will always be delays or restrictions with 'legit' exchanges because of the laws and hoops they have to jump though to comply with certain money laundering laws etc.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better Call Saul - Win or Fail? on: March 10, 2015, 08:51:29 PM
I have heard split opinions on this. I enjoy it a lot. What do you think?

Same. It can't compare to Breaking Bad but it's a nice companion piece. It's been hit and miss so far and it obviously has a low budget feel to it but it's better than nothing I suppose.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: iPhone 5s with Flappybird...screen cracked to shit on: March 10, 2015, 08:36:38 PM
Are you trying to sell it? Was flappy bird never added back to the store? I never played it but remember the dev taking it down out of frustration but figured he'd put it back up eventually.
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My coins literally Dissapeared On blockchain.info on: March 02, 2015, 11:42:08 AM
Its time to use a better wallet, like hive or something more central.

They just been everywhere, esp with their stupid 2FA security crap.

What? 2FA isn't 'stupid security crap'. It's what stops people from losing their coins and those that get hacked never have it set up.

blockchain.info wallet is a big headache nowdays, a lot of problem poping up better you use light bitcoin wallets like multibit or armory

I don't have many problems with blockchain.info

Same. Works fine for my casual day to day wallet and I've never had any problems.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kimdotcom - Megacoin - Dr Kimoto Chan on: February 08, 2015, 01:10:51 PM
I think Mec is currently sitting at its bottom, there are a lot of people feeding themselves with these cheap coins. If only the people that rushed in during the bubble were smart enough to realise that you buy when there is blood on the streets.

I don't believe Kim Dotcom and Kimoto are the same person, but they are both obviously aware of the impending truth.

Pretty sure Kim has nothing to do with this, though I'm surprised he hasn't created his own coin though I guess he's a fan and user of bitcoin.
19  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-2-8] BTCFEED → Bitcoin Prices Break Downward Trend And Come Back Fighting on: February 08, 2015, 11:26:47 AM
Come back fighting? I'm not sure how they worked that out. Bitcoin doesn't seem to have budged to me but I don't really care about the slightest daily changes.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Friendly Reminder Bitcoin Is Not Anonymous on: February 02, 2015, 04:09:10 PM
A friendly reminder that if you connect to it through Tor, you're anonymous.

Not if you send the coins straight to your wallet and don't even bother mixing them and then get caught with said wallets and logged in as a criminal mastermind, which is what he did  Grin. You can have certain anonymity though if you're smart about it.
