1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help Electrum my sending bitcoin is still pennding 2 days ago..... on: September 15, 2015, 09:28:29 AM
All you can do is wait but dont panic. I think a stress test is happening currently so that will cause even further backlogs.
2  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Hero Account 0.5 btc firm on: September 01, 2015, 08:20:41 AM
The price is not high for a Hero member account, even though the account has 500+Activity = 0.5 BTC
can you show us the statistic from this site entering your UID http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/

I do not know that site and i am not going on it.

Still selling.

It does not steal anything from you, just put your UID and tell us the statistic of your account, and there is an price estimator which is higher that normal. Don't be afraid.

Post Quality: Excellent
Trust: Neutral

The price of the account is normal so it is not expensive as some say here. The quality of the post is excellent which increase the price of the account. Good luck in your sales.

Agreed. 0.5 seems pretty standard from what I've seen though better qaulity heroes seem to go for more. to be honest if I had a Hero I wouldn't sell it for 0.5 as it doesn't really seem worth it. You can earn that within a month on some campaigns.
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your Total time logged into Bitcointalk on: August 18, 2015, 08:43:15 AM
NEarly three hours:

2 hours and 52 minutes.

Total time logged in: 5 days, 8 hours and 20 minutes.

i do not have more time to online maybe one hour every day  Cry

Maybe that's a good thing. I think many people spend too long online now which can't be a good thing.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips on: August 04, 2015, 09:09:41 AM
Looking for some easy to start with trading tips.
I don't gamble and have always want to start trading BTC and maybe also play around with some of the shit coins for fun.

Trading is like gambling really. Both are risky. I guess the only thing you can do with trading s buy low and sell high. Not as easy as it seems though and you have to keep your money on an exchange which I personally don't like doing.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: July 20, 2015, 03:28:32 PM
most are just a waste of time Sad

Such as? There's plenty of awesome TV shows like Breaking Bad or The Sopranos or Game of Thrones. Which ones have you watched that you didn't like.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek debt crisis and the Biticoin Price on: July 06, 2015, 01:54:59 PM
The only reason BTC has jumped up after the Greek crisis is because the media attention it hasbee receiving due to the Greece default tragedy. The bitcoin currency has received some attention due to its less collapse risk and all the media rumors about how it can save bitcoin. I don't think so bitcoin and Greece might have much of a future at the moment, but it did get bitcoin some fine attention;)

Yeah, I think it's more psychological. People always look for reasons why and try to pin it on current events but it's probably just people getting involved with the hype.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does "Satoshi" remain anonymous? on: June 20, 2015, 02:39:15 PM
For those asking why satoshi remained anon, probably for the same reason we all are. My username is relevant to why its sometimes good to remain hidden because you don't know who's watching or after you.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: June 07, 2015, 10:04:31 AM
Has anyone seen supergirl tv show and was is wort watching it.

I didn't like it but I don't like most superhero films or TV. The recent tv remakes have been pretty cheesy in my opinion.

Has anyone watched that new series Sense8 that just dropped on Netflix?   I was curious if it was any good.   IMDB ratings are so/so

I just downloaded the first episode. I plan on watching it today with a few other pilots. If its any good I'll grab the rest of the season since it's all out.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disaster recovery discussion. on: May 20, 2015, 06:38:41 PM
You should be doing everything you possibly can to protect your coins and make sure they're backed up with numerous failsafes. Remember, one could fail so make sure you have a different option to regain access to your coins. It's always better to be safe than sorry especially with bitcoins.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to confuse retarded masses: get them addicted to sugar then convince them on: May 11, 2015, 11:41:30 AM
This seems like a looong shot.  I don't see sugar, with its very minimal addictive properties, "confusing" anyone.  Why do you have such feelings toward overweight people?  Some simply cannot help it.

You can say they cannot help it about any addictions from sex, drugs, sugar, porn etc. People can help it though they find it very difficult to and that's where the problem is. Sugar is a drug at the end of the day in it changes your brain chemistry so you can get addicted to it easier than most drugs.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: April 27, 2015, 02:05:20 PM
Just hold your bitcoins for few years and the returns you will get is simply astounding, the rate of bitcoin right now is pretty low and is a good time to invest, buy and sell it 5 years after now when the price is relatively peak to the time, you will have made a huge roi Smiley

the only thing is that people don't have enough patience to hold their coins for years in order to get a return. people look for instant profits nowadays.

Well that's why patience is a virtue. Nobody is going to see quick gains with btc anymore. That ship has sailed and they missed the boat on that one. I think the only way to make massive gains is to, hold your coins longterm but the bitcoin game isn't for weak hands anymore.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why dont banks offer a non chargeback-capable product? on: April 11, 2015, 10:51:57 AM
A product that isn't reversible probably isn't that good to them. If someone makes off with a lot of yours or their money they need a way to easily get it back. It makes sense from a business perspective to do this but obviously it can be exploited. Bitcoin can obviously be used to protect against people charging back but you're shit outta luck if you get scammed or hacked so it has positives and negatives.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Satoshi's coins will never hit the market on: March 24, 2015, 05:05:14 PM
I don't get that mentality. Why would the price crash because satoshi is using his bitcoins?

He was the first miner and it's estimated he must have mined between half a million to one and a half million bitcoins. If he chose to dump them he could clear out all the buy orders on every exchange in an instant. Look at the damage the bear whale did by dumping a tiny fraction of the coins Satoshi mined.

yeah, if he dumps ALL of his coins, that wouldn't be good.

But if he sells 10 bitcoins, it really shouldn't be any different than you selling 10 bitcoins or me selling 10 bitcoins.

If satoshi was going to spend any coins he would of by now. I think people would panic if he did spend even ten because spending the rest could be quite disastrous.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: If BTC goes to ten hundred billion dollars on: March 12, 2015, 01:02:09 PM
No.

Will you still buy more if it hits ten hundred billion?

Absolutely.  Why wouldn't I?

Would you need to if they were worth that much? Anyone with just one coin would be a multi billionaire (but this is a stupid thread anyway).
15  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: March 12, 2015, 12:13:27 PM
Faucets aren't bad. They're actually a great way for newbs to get involved in bitcoin, though obviously they're a triumphant waste of time given the piddly amount you get out of them but they still give plenty of newbs the bitcoin bug.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: March 02, 2015, 09:20:51 AM
House of Cards! Its back

I'm very much looking forward to watching this asap. I just downloaded the new season so am itching to watch it as soon as I've got some free time. I watched the original British series a few months ago and you just can't compare. It's very dated.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you leaving? on: February 05, 2015, 12:29:09 PM
Most people do not report it and just leave.
In my estimate the number of people who left already could be staggering.

Bitcoin is just about itself.
Altcoins mostly are just about making the creator rich.

Almost no coins are there to provide for the needs of the users.

I'm sure many people have left bitcoin but there's a steady stream of new users coming in to take their place and this trend will likely continue for some time but I think those leaving will be dwindled by newcommers eventually.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your coins are stolen on: February 05, 2015, 12:20:30 PM
it never happened to me but I would probably try to recover them working

Has any one ever successfully recovered their stolen coins? I don't think so. Once the coins are stolen, it is next to impossible to recover them from the thief. One of the major disadvantages with BTC.

Many people have actually recovered their coins and in many different ways, but you're right that it's next to no chance if this does happen though sometimes you can get lucky though you may as well kiss them goodbye if it ever does happen.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Kim Dotcom hasn’t been extradited 3 years after the US smashed Megaupload on: February 02, 2015, 03:20:30 PM
What evidence do they have on him for the two charges or money laundering and racketeering? And most importantly why is it America's concern or business? Kim isn't an American nor was his business based there was it? Whatever happens I hope they never get their hands on him.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: British PM Suggests Banning Encrypted Communication Mediums on: January 14, 2015, 03:02:48 PM
This is utterly dumb. Cameron would have to ban all encrypted channels, such as https, encrypted passwords logins etc...

Completely unworkable in "Digital Britain".

*facepalm*

This is what I was thinking. It's impossible to 'ban' them, what he's saying sounds like he just wants to criminalize or penalize their use just because they can't snoop on you.
