1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last Movie you watch ? ( Daily thread ) on: September 15, 2015, 08:25:39 AM
I have watched a cartoon movie entitled UP.
It's a good movie and has a good moral lesson.

Everyone seems to love that but I found it pretty boring. Then again I think most Pixar films are over rated.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock Market Crash == Bitcoin Surge on: September 01, 2015, 09:27:39 AM
Why do people think that a stock market crash will cause a surge in Bitcoin price? I have heard it both ways and I would like to hear the logic behind the reasoning.

Thank you.

I don't think it will. The only way bitcoin is ever effected is when people panic buy because of something, but can't see why they'd decied to panic buy bitcoins if the stock market crashes.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Microsoft is allowing itself to detect pirated games on your Windows 10 PC on: August 18, 2015, 08:52:50 AM
Microsoft literally screwed up this time in my honest opinion , none of their previous like that . their latest windows release may be fast and have a lot of new features however for what comes to privacy .. It's fucked up. This what happens when you become NSA's bitch

To be honest this is probably them trying to protect their income more than anything, but this sort of stuff is just going to push people more towards open source operating systems as we're being spied on from almost everything we do on a computer and online and it needs to stop. I hope most things become decentralized eventually.

5  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: July 20, 2015, 04:57:04 PM
The example you say about the fiat currencies eventually tumbling to zero can be flipped on Bitcoin the exact same way. If Bitcoin were to reach 10,000 a coin, you assume that it would remain steady and that no one should convert to fiat, but realistically you can't be precise if the price wouldn't crash. When we were at 1,000+ a coin, many speculated we would be "to the moon" a year from that, and the direct opposite happened. I don't blame anyone for wanting to convert to fiat at 10k per coin. It's taking the safe way out (believe it or not) which isn't a bad thing.

People don't have to cash them out/ exchange for bitcoin. They could just buy things with it instead, but I guess there's only so much stuff people can buy or want. I think if bitcoin does reach 1k again a lot of people will just cash them out to recoup their losses but the mass dumping will likely send the price going back the opposite way.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 06, 2015, 04:21:56 PM
What is the obstacles, challenges and problems that Bitcoin can face it in 5 years? How we can help Bitcoin to take more authoritative place in the world of currency system?

Buy it. Use it. Tell people about it. Not much we can do apart from those three things.
7  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BEST STREAMIN HD TV SERIVICE PERIOD!!!!!! EVERY CHANNEL EVEN XXX on: June 22, 2015, 08:20:34 AM

Would you really trust getting this from someone? Unless you're an expert in coding there could be all sorts of backdoors or ways the dev could cheat you or your users out of money.
9  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 12 Months xbox Live code UK only on: June 07, 2015, 10:09:27 AM
How did you obtain them? I'm interested but dont want my account to get blocked or anything. Is there any chance of that?
10  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ✔ Cheap: MLB.tv baseball, HBO Go, Comcast Xfinity, DirecTV, WWE, NBA, live TV 💎 on: May 20, 2015, 07:14:03 PM
What have you got that will allow me to watch any of the big European football games? Premier League and La Liga ideally but Bundesliga and Seria A would be a bonus.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What real world situation have you had problems due to 10 minute confirmation? on: May 11, 2015, 02:01:37 PM
I haven't run into any problems yet but that's because I've only used my coins for purchase online but they seem to have gone through seconds after I sent them. I guess maybe there could be problems using them in the real world especially if you can't get a internet connection and is using bitcoin over a public wifi a good idea or safe? Could people not steal your coins this way?
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: April 27, 2015, 04:04:21 PM
The title of this thread immediately made me think of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzW2ybYFboQ

I think the next bubble will top about $2500 or more, so I won't do anything at $1000. At next bubble top (which I'll try to pinpoint) I'll sell about 10-25% of my holdings.

I doubt it will go to anywhere near 2500 anytime soon, though I think 1k is doable again but probably not before the next halvening.
13  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Premium Accounts Shop (Filehost's,Porn,WWE,ESPN,CBS,UFC,MLB,sling etc.) on: April 11, 2015, 09:23:29 AM
How much are the 1fichier.com accounts? I'm interested in one. Are they individual or shared accounts? Thanks.
14  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Looks like Mars One is a scam in the making! on: March 24, 2015, 07:07:24 PM
Well, I seriously doubt that technology and money will be available any time soon to get men safely to the planet Mars  Grin

Money comes from the printer.

But that causes inflation. I don't think it would be wise to affect the world economy so that a reality show can happen in other planet.

Doesn't seem to stop them... just look at quantitative easing, though there's not much money to be made from space exploration and it's very costly with little financial reward and america would just like to pump up their defense budget every year where they can make money for corporations on costly wars.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations until i can re-send the money on: March 11, 2015, 06:34:49 PM
At least one confirmation. That's when it is definitely in your account.

Blockchain.info can lag behind a little though. Sometimes it might say it is unconfirmed or only has one confirmation but in reality it's a different story. Try check the transaction on a different block explorer to see what that says.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Tor network users here? on: March 11, 2015, 06:22:34 PM
You can use and instal a web browser right? Just download the tor browser, install it, then use it. It'd really not that difficult. Just watch a youtube video or something to get the gist of it.
17  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How are altcoins collateral on: March 02, 2015, 10:40:49 AM
I never understood how would anyone use an altcoin for collateral, i mean if you want 1 btc loan but you have like 100 ltc, why not sell the ltc yourself instead of asking for the loan?

I've never really understood that either. Using money to get a loan of other money seems pointless. I think most people who take out loans here do so just for the feedback though so that's one reason. Using your account as collateral seems like a better option though sometimes people need the accounts to actually earn the money back.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you leaving? on: February 05, 2015, 11:45:54 AM
watching the price all day will drive you crazy... sounds like an emotional reaction Tongue

Ha exactly. When I  first got into bitcoin long before I joined this forum I was always checking the price many times a day and also checking the exchanges constantly and it was exciting though very exhausting. Nowadays I don't bother with the price and don't trade so I just hold as an investment. Less stress and I can just look forward to the future.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Weed / Realpolitik / Crypto / Civil Asset Forefeiture and Any Other Chosen Topic on: February 02, 2015, 03:50:36 PM
Is the fibre from hemp the same as the fibre from the medicinal varieties of cannabis? Can't they grow weed for its bud but also use the fibre for all the other uses? If so it sounds like win-win to me as there's little waste and maximizing profits.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Mastering Fiat - new book out from O'Really Publishing on: February 02, 2015, 03:37:35 PM
How come there's an error on the cover; "finacial" instead of "financial"?
Don't they have proofreaders?

Look at the author name... fake.
Look at the username... fake.

To me, it looks like a hastily crafted .pdf piggybacking a known-name within the Bitcoin community.  The end goal?  Not sure - perhaps donations listed at the end?

This is exactly what I thought. I even thought it was the real Anton as I clicked this thread, but whatevs. I guess people gotta do what they gotta do to get exposure these days.
