1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First-Ever Bitcoin P2P Transaction Happens Today on: January 13, 2025, 04:44:46 AM
The very first P2P transaction was made on 12 January 2009 when Satoshi Nakamoto sent 10 BTC to Hal Finney.
Quote
One of the first supporters, adopters, contributors to bitcoin and receiver of the first bitcoin transaction was programmer Hal Finney. Finney downloaded the bitcoin software the day it was released, and received 10 bitcoins from Nakamoto in the world's first bitcoin transaction on 12 January 2009 (block 170).
Source
16 years ago today, that transaction might have been worth nothing in value, and today it is valued at $950K. BTC has achieved a lot and outperformed the expectations of many. Even Satoshi might not have predicted it. I first came to know about BTC in 2018 and it was somewhere between $3k and $5k, it was very cheap I planned to buy it with my cousin by borrowing money but I suggested investing in anything by taking a loan can be very risky, plus we both were unemployed so we did not take the risk, and now we both regret it. Well, the opportunity was missed. Can we still make this much gain in the upcoming 16 years? What do you guys think?

Wow this is truly historical and I am regretful for not taking full advantage of the opportunity at the time, as we were blind to the future of what the results will be today. Happy New Year everyone, the time is now.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying cheap is best formula on: March 26, 2023, 05:43:24 AM
OP, it's great that you're interested in investing in bitcoin. However, I would caution against assuming that past performance will necessarily predict future results. While there may be trends in the market, there are always unforeseen factors that can impact the value of cryptocurrencies. It's important to consider the risks and benefits of investing in any asset.

If you're comfortable with the potential risks and feel that bitcoin aligns with your investment strategy, then go for it! But just remember, investing in bitcoin can be a rollercoaster ride.  Smiley

I second that, it is a rollercoasting on the loose! Merely staking, should not just be your only investment strategy. Have a short-term in that portfolio as well.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: January 14, 2023, 05:12:38 PM
My goal is to sell bitcoins for $100k so I haven't sold any of my bitcoins yet. 2022 is a difficult year economically due to inflation, war but I still work hard and use part of my salary to buy bitcoin. So even though the prices are turning positive, I still won't sell them, I continue to wait for the real bull season and bitcoin to hit my target.

I like your plan very ambitious indeed, need to incorporate this in my plans as well. In my case I am earnings BTC hence why not hold, it should go back from were its coming eventually. For other's it will take guts with all these volatility and and constant fud, its a wild ride buckle up
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin new year on: January 02, 2022, 06:54:57 PM
It certainly has been an innovative year for bitcoin and blockchain progression in total during the past year.
Let's just hope the momentum continues for the next and ongoing ones.
Happy new years to you and all on the forum as well!

What a journey it has been, yet still you made it we made it for a new beginning and to improve on the acomplishments of last year. You are important and we all play a very important role here. Achieve, acquire, exceed your goals and conquer. Ensure God is involve in everything.

I agree it has been innovative year overall especially with the Metaverse now in play and the high performance of top and new Altoins. That momentum will continue into this year.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Crypto Christmas; Using Bitcoin to help feed the homeless on: December 26, 2021, 11:39:54 PM
I agree with the previous membe here not to show there faces its a sensitive area people have pride and one should respect. I must say you are a very good humanitarian with the limited resources you are doing a fine job. This is something I am very passionate about, hence I won't get too personal about.

Once this is a genuine cause those who can help do what you can. However generally I dont believe in hand-outs to help people for the day. Help people to help them self and in the process that they can also help others in similar situations. To be frank God didn't put us here to be suffering it is man that did that and It's a shame cause they can fix it and refuse to do so....going of track. For the people on need It's a blessing for them which equals a blessing for you.🙏
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: August 22, 2021, 10:03:01 PM
Real Madrid 1 - 1 Levante

I hope the game doesn't end like this, losing in this game would be very painful

I got it right that Atletico would win, but I didn't expect them to be able to score only 1 goal

The score os currently 3-3 between Levante vs Real Madrid  and looks like its going to end that way base on the time this is posted. That means Altletico will will stand on top base on today's result. Cant they struggle to beat Levante despite they getting a red card and Real Madrid having 62% ball possession. I had a bet on them at betfair had to change my bet just to offset the orginal bet. They can di better.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Walmart hiring ad raises bitcoin price to $48,000 on: August 22, 2021, 03:33:31 AM
This is quite good news for the market and is a supporting factor for today's price increase.  Fundamental issues like this are urgently needed to return BTC prices to their highest peaks.  Moreover, the current China issue is no longer being ignored by the market because it ended yesterday.  Walmart's seriousness in recruiting new employees in the crypto field will bring a new era for Btc.

Totally agree 👍 just image if one major company like Walmart, just hint about taking steps to accept Bitcoin and as a result of that we have a 10% gain in price. Think about that let it sink in. When others follow the same path its gonna be crazy rally for sure.
8  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All Binance users are now subject to immediate KYC verification on: August 21, 2021, 05:23:37 AM
So this is really happening now? According to my prediction, all services that have government intervention will slowly become a centralized system.

For now, only a handful of law-friendly countries allow users to spend their crypto directly, the rest still rely on centralized exchanges (where KYC is a mandatory requirement) as they need to exchange fiat instantly in order to spend their crypto. I don't think most of the binance users will really abandon it as far as the assumption that KYC requests are common for them.

I share your thoughts on this. That Government has so much power to regulate and implement rules and laws in their favor. What they want to achieve is to ultimately identy and tax everyone, this is not democracy from my eyes. The
obvious agenda is to own and centralized everything as usual. We can't dip in their pot, they gave themselves the right to dip in ours.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin the most Bullish crypto of the moment on: August 08, 2021, 06:57:08 PM
Bitcoin at the moment is in another bullish position while other altcoins, except a few, are in a downtrend mode this leads me to the conclusion that Bitcoin is the most Bullish crypto at the moment
Bitcoin is the leader of crypto market and altcoin seasons always are triggered by Bitcoin.

In bull market, altcoins will give you highest profit. Obviously, you can get it only if you choose good altcoins and hold them. Altcoins are easily to have 10x, 20x growth in bull market.

However, in the long run, Bitcoin is the safest asset for you to invest & the most profitable crypto asset for you as well.

Check with

Agree on your logics. Very impressive bounce back from the Musk unwanted interception. From the dip of 29k to 43k a 51% gain between that period. I am confident it will go over the 50k mark again. Additionally thanks for the resources links "tranthidung" very useful.
10  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Attention Canadian friends. Binance has been banned in Ontario, Canada on: June 27, 2021, 06:42:34 AM
That's still a lot of time though, I am pretty sure that all the users in Ontario is going to have a lot of time doing the evacuation. I have a question though, is it specific only to Ontario region of Canada as stated in the article or is the whole Canada affected too?

The Ontario Securities Commission. Specifically Ontario for now. I must emphasize for now this may spread to other parts of Canada. Its the norm for Governments wanting to regulate and control everything!
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: June 26, 2021, 05:23:33 AM
I agree no one can turn off bitcoin now especially now that there are countries that have legalized bitcoin. This is one of the shocking news for the development of bitcoin so for now I don't think there is a loophole to shut down bitcoin.

Too late now. If they could they would have done so along time ago. Frankly speaking if you cant beat em you join.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has the potential to become the central bank of the central banks on: March 29, 2021, 06:00:31 AM
In coming 10 years, bitcoin may reach new heights. We also need to be aware of the fact that this Bull Run will not continue forever it will come down one day.

No doubt about bitcoin's bullish rally and bullish rally won't be happened until there is a bear market. So, enjoy bull market without being into fomo and buy on every dip or get ready for bear market to fill portfolio with bitcoin. It's now becoming one kind of cycle of bull and bear to teach us what to do and what not to do in every conditions. Within next 10 years, bitcoin might get closer to millions if we get more than 3-4 bull runs, IMHO.

Agree 100% on the Millions target. The market has reach such a point, that you cant deny anything any more. I believe the conventional Central Banks will still stand and Bitcoin will be right there with them. Although the price is getting out of reach for the common man, there is still an opportunity to benefit in the long-term expect the BULL run to continue....
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question of the day: What is your price prediction for bitcoin ? on: July 12, 2019, 03:42:57 PM

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobody Buying Cryptocurrency :( on: November 20, 2018, 07:11:45 PM
Pheww sigh I can't believe there is still more selling than buying at these price levels.  What is going on?  Are people still selling because of fear of Craig White and bchsv or has the difficulty in bitcoin dropped.  Investors have gone out of their minds to be selling altcoins when they are down 90 to 99 percent, but what I cant believe is nobody buying them.

Ya, Please don't say nobody buying cryptocurrency. If nobody did not buy market was fully vanished. But market is still running and people doing their trade in this low price market. Positive thinkers always thinking that Market will give U-turn again and better days is coming in near future. So don't give panic to other about market. Be positive always.

Well said I still hold a few and looking forward to buying more at satisfactory price. Preparing to ride that Bull (run) soon.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trading experience on: November 20, 2018, 07:05:47 PM
Dont what to stray from the topic here, my respect to the author of this string. I have a general questing does any one here, know how one can participate in trading with other exchanges or individual in African countries? I heard they buy crypto above market value?
18  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card will STOP on: October 13, 2017, 05:46:54 AM
Hi Everyone,

This ban or restriction is unfortunate. Just when I ordered my Crypto card and was getting use to it. Wavecrest drop the bomb on us! It's smella like government and corporate banks tightening the rope on crypto. Whats astonishing is that most if not all of them are connected to Wavecrest!

It was very convenient for myself and others, to load my master or visa debit card with crypto to spend.
From what I have read so far on this thread, is it only wagecan that offers this service that's not tied to Wavecrest and does issued crypto debit card worldwide outside of the European Territory?

I heard Wirex is working on a solution, just no official date as yet. There must be other options available now?

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2017, 12:38:48 AM
Well I am up 400% since I bought BCC a couple months ago plus I'm earning more coins with staking. Sold off my initial investment now playing with house money. Can't complain about that.

Well this is the best or most encouraging thing I have read (I just scrolled to the most recent post) on the thread currently. As a new investor in bitconnect myself all this scam talk is scaring me! However I do take into account all that is said by other members that are inclined to skepticism and giving thier opinion. Thier points are relevant I learned and respect that. I did this on my own, I am aware if the risk right timing and all that, hence why I only invested a small amount to test it nothing to fuss over. I will honestly recommend the same approach if you consider to get involve in this or anything of this nature. Do your due-diligence prior to investing. Same rule same principle apply don't invest what you can't offered to lose.

I have one question to ask anyone that can answer as of now July 15, 2017 I am not seeing bitconnect listed on coinmarketcap.com or coincap.io? If it's there it's not in the top 100 it was in the top 20 up to yesterday, does the know what's going on?

Kind Regards,
