Failing to win the away match vs Athletic Bilbao made Barcelona fail to get full points in the second week of Laliga. Bilbao were effective and had chance to kick more balls into the net and they managed to put Barcelona under pressure for 20 minute with a 1-0 win before Depay equalized. I feel R. Koeman should be held responsible for Barcelona's weak attack in that match which made him fail to get full points.

It was strange, they looked frustrated to penetrate the Bilbao defense. Until Eric Garcia got a red card. Even though it was the 93rd minute really detrimental. The pattern of the game in the first match did not go well, it looks like this season will be more open to the La Liga title. Braithwaite looked unlucky tonight, he had chances but didn't score.
Next wait for the Madrid vs Levante match. I hope Madrid can win.

I don't know if it's stupidity or because of limitations for sure as a coach he knows better what to do or what is best, as a spectator we don't see him doing anything in defence and indeed it's a bit strange when their defense is in the spotlight. As far as we know the main problem there is related to the regulation of the LaLiga maybe with this problem they can't do much.

I don't think Barcelona would have had any problems with an experienced defender. Griezmann, Dembele, Lord Braithwaite could easily have sold two of these three to Barcelona. Lots of Griezmann's wages. With this money easily experienced defender Peto Barcelona. Now there are 7 Barcelona strikers. Griezmann, Braithwaite, and Aguero these 3 player's position is CF. I don't know what Koeman will do with 3 players in the same position. You can't expect a good performance if you play in the position the coach wants without giving the players a chance to notice the position according to their comfort.

Without a doubt I would say Real Madrid won easily today because the match will be played at home. Benzema will remain a sharp sticker for the opposing team.

After the first week, the positive reaction was exaggerated, as some imagined that this level is the standard that Barca should be held accountable for.
Then the second match came and the negative reaction was exaggerated to the point that everyone now does not deserve to wear Barcelona shirt!!
Now ,Barca after Messi, you will see it fun at times and lost at other times, and this is related to the following factors: 1- The opponent, his strength and the fierceness of his pressure.

Barcelona had a really difficult match against Athletic Bilbao. I think that Bilbao played more dominant in general. And they got ahead 1-0 also. Barcelona had a big difficulty in equalizing the score. M. Depay made a difference and scored a very crucial goal for his team. But they couldn't turn the game around and it ended 1-1.

I think that many people were expecting Barcelona to have a hard time. But I must admit that I wasn't expecting Bilbao to play better.

Barcelona's defense was weak last season. Everyone was critical of Barcelona's defense. We all hoped Koeman would strengthen the Barcelona defense this season. But he did sell Messi. Aguero and Depay joined the team. Barcelona has the extra striker that they needed. But there is no experienced defender. This is nothing but the stupidity of the coach.

That was kind of to be expected, but regarding the title, correct me if I am wrong. As far as I followed the transfers in La Liga, not many players left or joined Atletico right? If that is the case I think they are the favorite to go for the title again. Their team is still solid and balanced and I don't have that feeling about Real or Barcelona. I would even bet against Barcelona at this stage. Let's see how Real and Atletico will do in the coming games. It is also possible that Vinicius and Benzema will really shine this season as they had a decent start already.

It was a strong performancefrom sociedad but not to mention rayo vallecano they had their fair share of opportunities still i think the experience of real sociedad was decisive with that penalty i think they have a lot of work to do to compete maybe for a european place.

Two of the three games today have ended.

Real Sociedad were aiming to get a win after losing to Barcelona 4-2. Vallecano were defeated by Sevilla 3-0 and they were hoping to get at least one point in this game. But it was obvious that Real Sociedad were the absolute favorite team of this match. They had a dominant gameplay but they were able to score only one goal which was from a penalty by Oyarzabal. They still won in the end. But I don't see Real Sociedad's performance being very near to the one in the last season.

The other game was between Atletico Madrid and Elche. I was expecting to see Atletico Madrid dominating the game. However, Elche were also quite good. Correa scored again and made his team get a very valuable win by 1-0. But I'm not very content about their performance in this game.

levante - real madrid the absence of the two main players, Cross and Modric, can create difficulties in the center of the field. I wonder who will play in their position. you can try Asensio or Azara. Valverde and Casemiro will help. I think Real Madrid will have a pretty difficult game

Barcelona no longer have Mr impossible in their team and now everyone takes them to be an average team, and if you ask me I don't see them challenging for top spot anymore...this will be another Atlético Madrid win as they are the only capable team( strong opposition)as far as Laliga goes.

Just last night Athletic Bilbao held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw despite having the least possession  but lets not write them off just yet.

The weird thing is that they do not have Messi anymore, but their defense sucked as well, and Messi wasn't a defensive player so the fact that they sucked on defense has nothing to do with the fact that they do not have Messi on the team anymore. I have always said, even while messi was here that their defense is way too slow and they need players that are much faster, people like Pique are great defensive players because of their minds and not their bodies but now their bodies are getting very old and very slow so now lesser talented people could end up passing them by just running circles around them.

This is why they need faster and quicker defenders that could stick to their man. Offense could be handled by the players they already have, people like Brian and depay and griezzmann are good players and can handle it, let's face it not many teams have that kind of trio, but their defense needs to get better.

At first I personally chose to avoid betting on 3 matches last night Espanyol - Villarreal, Granada - Valencia and Bilbao - Barcelona. But in the end, I still can't avoid Barcelona because I have a little hope that Barcelona can at least win even if it's only 1 goal but yes, a 1-1 draw was enough to make my parlay bet ruined because of it. The three matches were indeed not easy to predict because whatever the result could be like any team had a chance to win, but with this draw it also proved the discipline of each team and it became difficult.

It was really a weird day, Barcelona didn't deserve the draw if you ask me, Athletic Bilbao were by far the side and dominated Barcelona is every aspect of the game other than ball possession, it's going to be a really long season for Barcelona.


Today, both Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad were able to snatch a lone goal victory each, Atletico currently top the league after 2 wins from 2 games, but a win Real Madrid would see them take that spot... Real Madrid are currently ahead early with a goal from Gareth Bale.

I think both teams played pretty well even though the ball possession was still pretty much the same but a pretty tough game still seems to be one of the characteristics of this match because as far as I remember there were 6-7 cards that came out of the referee for each player apart from that VAR was still favorable for valencia in this match.

Atletico Madrid still won 1-0 despite playing a tough match against Elche. To be honest, I though that the match would be very easy for Atletico. But they didn't perform well enough. Correa is really in-form as he scored in this match also. Suarez entered the match in the second half but he couldn't score any goal. But from now on, I believe that he will also start scoring. He is still a great striker even at this age.

As much as I would agree with you I still feel both Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid haven't really made a statement by scoring quite a number of goals in a match to send a message to everyone that they are ready to take the podium, at the moment they are all average teams to be honest there is nothing extraordinary that has been shown really, I even wonder if people are actually excited to also watch this league for these teams competitiveness otherwise it's still open for anyone to lead..

Well, Madrid is now on level terms with Levante thanks to Vinicius Junior. That VJ change by Ancelotti was a thoughtful one. Although the game has ended but I have a pretty good feeling that there would be one more goal from either side but Madrid has the most probability to get the job though and maybe take advantage of that Barcelona draw regardless of Atlético's 1-0 win against Eleche. Ancelotti might take Madrid back to the glory days.
