Hi. My Router does have multiple Ethernet ports. I've got my miner connected. How do I change my IP Address?

I've got a Desktop plugged into a Router using an Ethernet Cable. There's my Laptop (which is what I'm on) connected wireless to the Router. I want to use the Laptop for mining because the Desktop only has 1 Ethernet Input and I need that for Internet. There's also another Laptop (all 3 sharing the Router.) Also, the Router has a built in Modem.

Hi, My miner doesn't have an IP Address on the front. Is there another Manual? I'll keep reading... Is there any other way to set it up?

Hello, I recently purchased a Antminer S3+ and PSU. I'm trying to set it up for the first time. The Antminer website (192.168.1.99) doesn't work. I cannot connect to it. I get the error

Make sure you’ve got the right URL: http://192.168.1.99

How do I connect to the Antminer page? Do I have to allow the website to connect? I do not have Anti-Virus (using Windows Defender.) I'm using Windows 10 Technical Preview (IE is gone and Project Spartan replaces it.) How do I setup up my Miner? Please respond. Thanks

Me again. I found some CX's I like. I probably get the 750 watt. Also, how much will a S3+ earn before electric bill?

Hi thanks for the replies. I was looking over a local electronics store and wanted to know if Corsair AX or HX would work? I'll keep looking...

Hello, I recently purchased a used Antminer S3+. I bought a PSU that might not work. It's a Rhino Panther 4. The problem is it only has 1 PCI-e connector (6-pin). The S3 manual says I need 2. Should I return the PSU? What PSU's will work? Can I use it with 1 connector? Please respond. Thanks

11  Bitcoin / Mining support / How to compile cgminer on: February 20, 2015, 05:50:10 AM
Hello, I have connected an Avalon 3 USB ASIC and installed cgminer. I need to know what commands to enter to compile it and set it up. The ASIC Readme says "Avalon2/3 devices need the --enable-avalon2 option when compiling cgminer." What are the exact commands needed to set it up? Please respond w/ help. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I looked at Eligius and it flagged my Anti-Virus as a malicious website. Ghash came up fine, so I think i'll use it. Their website looks much better than Slush's pool. Thanks for the info, I'll close this thread.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / What's the best mining pool? on: January 08, 2015, 10:05:58 PM
Hello, I am new to mining and have a question. I am going to buy a used Antminer S3 and I need to know what's the best pool? Right now I'm set up for slush's pool. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies. I'll take a look at other posts and learn more about mining. You've all gave me a lot of good info. I rushed into buying the first ASIC I could find. I looked into buying a Antminer S3. Much faster than my 3.6Gh/s Avalon. I'll close this thread. Thanks again

Me again. I'd like to make a profit off bitcoin. Sounds like I got here late. What about litecoin? I've read it's faster, but only worth $15 each. What would I have to spend on a miner to make a profit? Reply back.

Me again. cgminer says I need to install WinUSB for my ASIC. Zadig shows I have WinUSB installed. Still not working. Any ideas?

Thanks for the replies. I posted a new thread in support section. How much power does mining use? I'm on my Laptop. And how much would I make? Also, what's the best pool? I'm currently setup for slush's pool.
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / How to setup cgminer w/ avalon nano on: January 06, 2015, 07:54:51 AM
Hello, I am new to mining bitcoin and have a few questions. First, I bought a Avalon Nano ASIC and noticed it only works with cgminer. Still setting up cgminer (it won't recognize my USB.) Second, I'd like to see what other mining software would work with it (I'd like a miner with a GUI.) Can anyone reply with help on how to setup cgminer? I can't figure out how to attach a screenshot of cgminer and zadig. I'll work on that. And any miners w/ GUI. Thanks

Really? How do I get started with little or no money? I don't have to pay for power. Will that help?
