1  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: July 18, 2016, 05:06:09 PM
You expect DT and Will to have used their magical psychic powers to predict BTC prices would collapse while difficulty exploded.

This is a really weak excuse. The price of BTC was below $100 when the security was released. If DT and Will took 25,000 BTC with no plan for a "collapse" in BTC price then what you are actually using for defense is that the issuers of the security were incompetent instead of fraudulent.

I did not invest in this "security" but wanted to read what happened. I have not seen anything that remotely resembles any sort of accountability of what happened. Your above explanation that it was the issuer's incompetence and that investors should have done DD to know the issuers were incompetent appears to be the closest thing we will get.

I must be misunderstanding this. Can someone clarify? Did DeaDTerra receive more than 22,000 BTC and return less than 500 BTC to shareholders? If this is remotely accurate then why is DeaDTerra  still showing to be a trusted user? Did some good come of this that made people ok with donating to DeaDTerra like a charity?

It is a shame how poorly this was run. A time when the housing market has doubled and this real estate "company" has underperformed. Shameful to say the least.

I just want to point out that this is an obvious scam for anyone who cannot see it themselves. The fees and structure of this investment is not possible. There is something called taxes which have to be paid by someone. Since the fund is collecting no personal information they cannot possibly issue you the proper tax reporting. At the very least they would need to raise their fees by 10x in order to even make this structure possible for handling dividends and would probably need to raise them by 20x in order to see any profit from trading at all.
6  Economy / Securities / Re: looking to sell 20% of kings easy loans. on: July 08, 2016, 03:29:39 PM
I'm assuming you are the king, correct? So you are selling debt owed to you, just to check? I'm trying to be sure I understand your offering.
I am no longer selling this as I am becoming more popular

Probably a good idea. Bad consumer debt like you are taking on usually sells for about 3% of the principal amount. It looks like you have 0.064 BTC loaned out in principal which would make the value of your loan portfolio worth about 0.00192 BTC. Given that you probably do not have solid contract with an identified borrower it might be a stretch to value the portfolio that high. If you can get back 1/2 of the BTC you've loaned out at this point you will be beating the odds. Surely you won't find buyers to pay a premium for it.

I think you now have more "funds" than clients. An interesting business model. Cast a wide net I guess...

LOL BTC3.2 for something that will never mine half that.

If you had %100 free electricity you could never ever ever come close to breaking even on this.

I do not understand either. I have tried to picture multiple scenarios but none of them makes buying an S9 the wise move at these prices. They literally need to cut the price of the next batch in 1/2 for it to be at all even possible to imagine breaking even. Seeing how happy people are to be parted with their BTC in this thread it is apparent that mining is becoming a hobby and a form of nerd entertainment. It definitely is not profitable or even potentially profitable for anyone investing BTC at these prices.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Big Halvening Price Rise on: July 07, 2016, 11:19:19 PM
There will be no big BTC Halvening price rise. You heard it here first.

Where have you been? Not watching the $200->$650 rise we've seen so far obviously.

Kind of crazy prices for the B6 and B7 when you consider the upcoming block reward halving..

Can't blame them for trying to get as many units out the door as possible. No way does anyone paying BTC for these recoup their investment at those prices.

$10 worth of titanium for only a 5 BTC markup! Where do I sign up?

Do you know where you can buy a whole block for less?

Any mining pool operator.

16  Economy / Securities / Re: Silver Holdings Investment Fund (SLV) on: January 11, 2016, 12:30:43 AM
Why would you remove details of what was on offer?

Can anyone post a link to the original text thanks?
I sold the fund and it moved to a new thread. The post had no information of value the links are all broken now. The bottom line is I charged a 1% fee to hold silver for the fund. If anyone is interested I could put together a new proposal and update the original post text. I will do some research to see what would be the best way to issue such a product.

What would you like to see for features? Would you want to be able to receive delivery of silver for a certain fee? What would be a reasonable fee? What would make you feel safe investing in the fund? Could a certain amount of BTC held by a 3rd party escrow with the option to insure your investment be an option? Should the fund be based in grams to make entry cheaper or should it be in ounces? Should it be only a silver holding fund with generic holdings or should we have custom coins made and offer them for resale at a profit to purchase more silver to grow the fund?

Without having the OP to read, it sounds like they have a quantity of Silver and issue certificates in their stead.  The only problem with that is if they were to then lend the silver as part of a loan guarantee (or indeed sell it at a price peak hoping the market then goes back down).  The trouble would then be should investors want to reclaim their funds (silver) only to find the cupboard is empty.
If taking delivery of silver is an option investors want then it could certainly be made available. If that is the direction this fund is to take I would think that buyers would be better off just buying whenever they wanted from a storefront that accepted Bitcoin. Unless the fund had unique silver coins that could also be sold to provide additional income to offset the cost of having the coins made. This would be a bigger project and I would have to do a lot of running numbers to see what kind of markup for original investors this would require. I would also have to find someone to build a storefront and an exchange. I think it could be done over time. If there is demand I would be willing to give it a try and take every precaution possible to protect investors.

18  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i go 50/50 with gold and bitcoin? on: January 10, 2016, 11:36:21 PM
With the current gold:silver ratio I think silver is a better choice.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: Silver Holdings Investment Fund (SLV) on: January 10, 2016, 11:34:32 PM
I am surprised to see the fund I sold has been closed and there are no alternatives.

Is there interest in this silver exchange traded fund being relaunched?
