1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New AML Policy for all Dwolla users. on: June 27, 2012, 04:34:57 AM
Victory!

Maybe because of this post, or maybe because of all the sexually laden expletive replies I've made to their copy and paste replies to my tickets, $100 USD showed up on my account today. This was immediately converted to BTC and withdrawn.

The block on Dwolla ACH transfers has been removed and they will be paid as per terms but I'll be leaving the instant program.

Further trades will be conducted here as I have yet to have a problem. However I now have too much BTC for the purchased I wanted to make so I won't be trading for a while.

Hello,

We are happy to hear that things have worked out for you.  Please be advised that your Mt.Gox account will have to be verified should you wish to use Dwolla for transfers including withdrawals in the future.  Thank you for your kind understanding in this matter.

3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So, what happend to mtgox > Dwolla? on: May 30, 2012, 06:26:41 AM
Undecided nah there is no mtgox to dwolla with bitinstant.

Hello,

It appears that colleague from the Support Team has sent a reply to you today with instructions on how to get your Dwolla account validated.  However, if you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us again at support@mtgox.zendesk.com and we will be happy to help you.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: mtgox so slow to process dwolla withdraws on: May 29, 2012, 02:03:53 AM
Hello,

This has been due to the huge volume of withdrawal requests for both international wire transfers and Dwolla, but we expect that the issue of delays will be resolved soon.  Dwolla withdrawals are taking around 6 business days to process and international wire transfers (provided that the amount is not too large as there are limits that the bank is imposing on us) are taking about 1 week.  We apologize for the delay and inconvenience.  Thank you for your kind understanding in this matter.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake Mt. Gox emails on: May 26, 2012, 01:29:45 AM
So I have received two baited emails in the last two days. I am only going to guess that the crackers are using the leaked db emails from the security failure in gox from a while back, and many other people should watch out for them.

Please let us know if you interested.

Thanks & Regards

I am sure they will send many more messages trying to infect my machine or reveal my gox password (amusingly I have never had any money in gox). Just watch out, and be suspicious of all emails.

If anyone feels semi-vigilantie, feel free to whois the domains and track down the ips to shut down these sites. I am a little geek-overloaded with other stuff today.

Hello,

Thank you for the phishing report.  We have already reported this phishing site to have it shut down.  Thank you once again for the continued support to Mt.Gox.

Hello,

We are working on this.  Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue.

Why does it take so long to transfer money from gox to dwolla...

I know, it could take up to 6 days, and i've only had it transfered for 1 business day total (submitted friday).

Thank god I have additional coins & funds in CampBX.com that I transfered on Saturday night, and they went through by Sunday.

Hello,

This is because we are getting a huge volume of Dwolla withdrawal requests and we are processing them according to the queue.  Sorry for the delay, but we expect to be able to resolve this problem soon.

So just how long should someone wait before opening a ticket about a withdraw to dwolla from mtgox taking so long?
When I first started doing this it was FAST. Then it just got slower and slower to the point if I let it go for a week it
does not complete and I have to open a ticket to get any movement on it. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. If you have waited longer than 6 business days and the funds still have not arrived in your account, please submit a ticket and we will open an investigation for you.

Hello,

Thank you for mentioning this.  It appears to be a glitch in our system and we will be canceling those invalid trades.  Our apologies for the confusion caused and thank you for your kind understanding in this matter.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Fishing attempts for MtGox Account Verification info on: May 23, 2012, 01:20:48 AM
Hello,

Thank you for the posting this here.  Yes, we do not send any emails asking you to click on a link to verify accounts and that is clearly a phishing email.  Please refer to this link for other phishing emails that have been sent in the past to Mt.Gox users.  https://support.mtgox.com/forums/20232703-phishing-forum

Does this affect deposits, withdrawals, or both?

Hello,

It would apply to both deposits and withdrawals.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New AML Policy for all Dwolla users. on: May 18, 2012, 07:30:03 AM
Effective from Friday 25th of May, any user using Dwolla via Mt.Gox will be required to own a Verified account.

That part was a little confusing the first time I read it.  You mean a Mt. Gox Verified account (versus doing verifications on Dwolla).

Sorry for the confusion.  If you already have a verified account, you will not have to submit AML documents for verification to use Dwolla anymore.  Only accounts without a "Verified" or "Trusted" statuses will be required to become verified should they still wish to use Dwolla.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact the Mt.Gox Support at https://support.mtgox.com/home

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dwolla now purposely delays USD withdrawals from Bitcoin exchanges on: May 18, 2012, 06:52:17 AM
I just looked... I withdrew a couple hundred from Dwolla on 5/9 and it was posted to my bank balance on 5/10.   Another on 4/24 arrived on 4/25.

Not sure how it'll work now, w/ their new ToS.

My only problem has been it taking up to 10 days to transfer from MtGox to Dwolla.

It is now taking around 6 business days for Dwolla withdrawals to be processed provided that the amount is below 10,000 USD.  If you have any questions about your transaction, please contact Mt.Gox Support at support@mtgox.zendesk.com or submit a ticket at https://support.mtgox.com/home and we will help you look into this.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MT.GOX - SEPA Withdrawals Are Back Again! on: May 18, 2012, 06:38:17 AM
FYI, I've now received a response from the ECB to questions I raised about my bank and its policy of not allowing SEPA transfers to all participating countries.

Quote
The provision of SEPA payments is not mandatory for banks at the moment. The recently adopted Regulation 260/2012 establishing technical and business requirements for credit transfers and direct debits in euro will, however, make pan-European payments in euro mandatory from 1 February 2012 for banks and other payment service providers in euro area Member States, and from 31 October 2016 for non-euro area Member States.

Best regards,

EUROPEAN CENTRAL BANK
Directorate Communications
Press and Information Division

What I think it says is that my bank has a lot of leeway since my country, while being an EU member, hasn't adopted the euro as national currency. Posting this here since it might offer some more information as to why MtGox, like myself, has seen SEPA transfers taking longer than next business day.

Thank you for your understanding of our situation.  Our colleague in Poland has informed us that pending SEPA withdrawals up to last week have already been processed on Monday.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can't withdraw from Gox on: January 26, 2012, 02:18:35 AM
My original verification submission was denied because I don't own the house I live in and rent a room in, so I don't have utility bills.  The response email contains CRITICAL information that is not listed on MtGox.com during the verification process.  Apparently they have relaxed the AML requirements and will take something such as a cell phone bill, of which I have and it matches my photo ID address.  Let's see if I can push this through now.

E-mail sent to me below:

    Hello Samuel,

Unfortunately, the BTCs have not appeared on the Blockexplorer yet. We will continue to check for your transfer daily and notify you when it is complete. We apologize for the delay by our system and appreciate your patience through this matter.

    Thanks,

Sadly this is my first ever purchase using bitcoins.  It is disappointing.  The 11 bitcoins was 2/3 payment on a motherboard bought on this forum.  The 5.9 bitcoins that are at that address are the 1/3 payment I sent myself when the motherboard arrived in the mail.  I was able to send bitcoins to that address.  Why can't MtGox.

How many thousands of blocks does it take for a MtGox withdrawal to show up in a block?

Hello Samuel,

It appears that the bitcoins have already been deposited to your account.  However, if you still experience any further difficulties with this issue, please feel free to contact us and we will look into it for you.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is Paxum withdrawals going from Mt.Gox on: January 02, 2012, 12:33:43 AM

My paxum withdrawal is pending.
