I've posted a guide on how to update PiMP to use this, thanks so much for the great work guys.

Demand a partial refund of at least 1k each. Mine wasn't as bad and I got 1k back. If I were you I'd demand 1200+ each

Do it through PayPal. Open a dispute and escalate right to a claim. Or vice versa

I wish I could, paid BTC.

Well finally got my BTMine's on 2/15 that I ordered on 1/9.  Apparently they forgot about them on HK and then went on CNY.  Awesome for me.

Bought two units, opened them up to find them destroyed inside.  Average of 8 caps broken off per unit, and one had a backplane with EVERY SINGLE pin bent.

All of the module power units were cut and sticking out the side of the case:

The fan's cables were torn out:

Just randomly floating on the bottom of the cardboard box:

After waiting over a month for my shipment, I figured it's up to me to fix this disaster.

Soldered the capacitor located near the IDE cable connector slightly angled to prevent it from falling off:

Cut and resoldered all the cut wires:

Finally, after spending all day soldering capacitors and wires back together, got one up and hashing... only to find that 5 of the boards aren't working, I'll have to try shorting the fuses tomorrow.

Second unit wouldn't boot and after a while of troubleshooting I realized that a capacitor on the backplane had the legs touching:

Bent those away from each other and now that's up and running.

I have a few questions...

1) One of the units reports a FAN RPM of 0 across both fans.  I saw in the thread that another person had this issue, I cut and resoldered all the fan wires to double check that BTMine didn't just forget to do this, and I cross referenced the working unit I have for pin placement and correct fan plugs.  I can't get this one NOT to run 100% fan (since it doesn't report any RPM).  Anybody fix this?

2) After reading about the original avalon design, I see that the case itself is used to extend the heatsink on the chips themselves... well my heatsink's are so bent out of shape due to DHL / BTMine they won't screw back in the case, I'm seeing 40-50c temps with fans up.  Am I OK to move these OUT of this wreaked case on to a shelve or something with proper airflow or should I get dangerous and try to bend all this crap back in place?

Overall this has been the most horrible experience yet buying Crypto mining hardware.

I received an email response from them on Friday, that I had sent at the beginning of the week.  I wrote back immediately and am awaiting another response.  It has been three days, it is not looking good.

I am very frustrated with the lack of support from them on the I miner I have in hand.  I can not think of how angry you must be having not even received your miners yet!  Keep trying to contact them and do not give up.  I will let you know if I gat any responses.

Are these guys back from Chinese NY?

Over a month since I paid and NO ASIC's.  PMs, eMails and Skype messages sent but no reply.  Paid with BTC Sad

I haven't heard anything since Jan 25th, when they told me they can't find my address (even though it had been confirmed and verified).  Have 2 of the ASIC's on order.

One of my friends who ordered 3 from them got a refund via paypal (even after a claim was filed they didn't respond, paypal unilaterally refunded).

I'm really, really hoping these guys didn't just totally jet and scam me out of my BTC; my hopes of ROI'ing have diminished, but I'd atleast like to have something in hand (even broken).

Common BTMiner, take care of your customers.  This is extremely frustrating.

Now almost a month later, I still have no working tracking number, they won't reply to emails and no ASIC's in hand.

Has anybody heard from them since Chinese New Year?
8  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]BTMine v1 Miner 200GH/s BTC 2.4 on: January 28, 2014, 07:14:54 PM
Seriously. Where are my ASIC's.

Ordered 1/9.  They sent me a non working tracking number.

This was the reply:

"sorry , that is the original number , only transport company can check it , we made mistake , later we can give you the right number , sorry "

Checked in again on 1/22

"we need your postal code , the information you gave us we can't check , please give us your  postal code "

Sent them my FULL CONFIRMED address again.  Was hoping they just had a typo in the tracking number or something.

Now its 1/28, one of my friends who ordered on the same day has already received his (broken but yeah).

Called DHL and they said no delivery or shipment is scheduled at ALL in the system for my address.

Who else hasn't received theirs, do you have working tracking?  These guys aren't replying to my emails and now I'm extremely worried (paid with BTC)
9  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]BTMine v1 Miner 200GH/s BTC 2.4 on: January 24, 2014, 09:41:24 PM
This is getting ridiculous.

Ordered 1/8 (they said 1/9)
1/22 was sent a non functional tracking number, they said this is what they received from the shipping company, asked me to resend my address.
1/24 no emails, no responses.  I'm worried they went on Chinese New Years.

After seeing all these QC issues, being lied to that it was in stock, getting junk tracking numbers, I don't have much trust in these guys.

Has anybody heard from them in a few days?

spoke to them today via email, very responsive once you open a paypal claim.

im just going to return it, with it not starting assume the controller board is fried, although i can see no evidence of any damage.

Paid with BTC, so that's not an option :\ They just seem to be ignoring my emails now.

2 x 5970s + 3 x 5850s
Motherboard MSI 790FX-GD70
CPU PHenomII x4 965 (i know, it was a combo deal)
BAMT 0.5
cgminer 2.3.1-2
#01
core: 750MHz
mem: 250MHz
Vddc: 1.0 Volts
Temps: 66ºC
hashrate: 690MH/s

#02
core: 725MHz
mem: 250MHz
Vddc: 1.0 Volts
Temps: 66ºC
hashrate: 666MH/s

They were working on windows until i installed the third 5850, then the whole rig kept BSODing so i installed BAMT instead

Anything over 11.12 with BSOD with more then 4 GPU's on windows.

I've had issues like this before...

http://windows7forums.com/windows-7-networking/4958-no-network-access-after-restart-3.html

http://www.netsetman.com/index.php?s=nsm

Seems to be a Realtek (for me atleast) issue.  Sometimes the Realtek NIC's will crash under heavy load (lots of threads open, server stuff) and require a reboot to work again.  Intel and Atheros chipsets seem to be immune but whatever.

Anyway try those, see if they work for you.

Revert to 11.12 Drivers

Anything after that has a bug that crashes with 4+ GPU's.

I'm curious Matthew,
I thought you are located in Seoul, South Korea.
Why is the raffle page on bit-pay.com saying Baekdu Mountain, Pyeongyang Korea North?

 Shocked

Because North Korea has such an open connection to the Interwebz... duhh... it's the central source for all free enterprising e-currencies.

And Baekkdu...   Obviously the perfect location between N. Korean and China to conduct Bitcoin Business.

White Head... Matt are you a white guy living in Korea?

I was born in Seoul. lol.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Recieving 220Mhash/s on a AMD RADEON 6990M dedicated GPU? on: March 08, 2012, 10:31:00 PM
From anandtech:

"If you were hoping to see a truly crazy mobile GPU running off the Cayman architecture, we’re unfortunately not getting that. Unlike the desktop 6990, we’re also not talking about a dual-GPU in a single card solution. Instead, the HD 6990M will be a full Barts core, with all 1120 shaders enabled. (The closest desktop equivalent is the HD 6870, which comes clocked at 900MHz, 25% higher than the 6990M.) Besides the now-standard DX11 support that AMD has been shipping since the first HD 5000 parts, 6990M also includes HD3D (stereoscopic 3D), OpenCL 1.1, and DirectCompute 11 support. AMD groups many of the features under the umbrella of "AMD App Acceleration", though there's technically nothing new here as all the 5000M and 6000M DX11 parts use the same drivers and support nearly the same features."

6990m < 6870... 6870's get anywhere between 230-275m/hash.  So 220m/hash is probably right where you could expect it.
