Anyone else having trouble with crypto withdrawals?

Made an ETH withdraw which took ages, so I did a USDT withdrawal. It's still in 'pending' state after 3.5 hours.

-- Update --
Withdrawal in status 'Success' after 4.5 hours

Here is what i got from "JULIA"

 Aiyaz,
Thank you for your email.
I will go ahead and cancel your orders and refund the money to your bank account.

If we cannot verify you, we cannot release the Bitcoin.
This is listed clearly on the site. We do require extra verification for certain withdrawals.

What you read on forums is people getting angry for us to do out job right. We do not want to be defrauded and we do not defraud people.

Please confirm you wish to close your account.

Regards,
Julie
Well then it's listed there and you didn't read their terms of use.

Not really. Here is what their terms actually say, did you read them?

Quote
Responding to discrepancies that arise while verifying customer and beneficial owner information

igot has risk-based systems and controls in place to respond to any discrepancies that may arise while verifying customer or beneficial ownership information. This may include collecting additional information from our customers:.

For example, a discrepancy may arise where:

the name on a customer's passport does not match the name the customer provides to the reporting entity
the name of a director provided by the company does not match any current director's name appearing on the company search extract.

The poster did not say there were any discrepancies in the information they provided. Also terms and conditions are not a justification for bad business practices.

IGOT regularly withholds customer transactions without discrepancies on their whim. This is not part of the terms that customers agree to. It is bad business practice.

My opinion is if they need this identification it should be part of their verification process.
3  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoinica liquidator wants to hear from users on: February 26, 2014, 11:34:49 PM
Well there goes my dreams with mtgox.

What is exactly going on? I have a claim with the liquidator but I have not been involved more than that. How does the lawsuit (is there a lawsuit?) affect people not directly involved with it who have lost money in bitcoinica?

Lots of people saying hold no matter how high the price goes. Don't forget to hold when the price goes down, which if you bought them recently it's very likely to.

If you look at the charts for May-June 2011, bitcoin reached $30 at one point, and then crashed $2-4 for a long time. Basically it was low long enough for a lot of people to cut their losses at a low price. It takes so long if your watching it, the temptation to try and trade is very high. Basically it often takes so long that you really think there is no chance it will ever happen.

Personally I will be very surprised if you don't lose in the next couple of months, at least temporarily.

Working again now for me too. I'd be interested to know what happened, they should really be more transparent about things.

Yeah they're a bit dodgy.

About a year ago they sent me 100 extra coins! I returned them and didn't say anything publicly, but I try not to keep much there after being burned so badly by bitcoinica, though I still keep hope that maybe something will be returned.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Anyone else having MtGox problem today? on: April 17, 2013, 07:39:21 AM
I'm trying to log into Mt Gox and getting incorrect password error on two browsers, but I am sure it's the correct password.

I tried password reset and didn't receive an email instantly so went here to see if anything is up.

I don't really think it makes sense that I have to post about nothing to prove that I'm ready to make worthwhile posts and not troll.

Hi,

I've been interested in bitcoin for a while, and it's about time I did my first post, g'day all.
