Like it or not, all crypto, without banks are worthless. Crypto is only valuable as long as somewhere down the line it is changed into USD, GBP, JPY, Gold....etc.
Uhhh....no. Just. Fuckin'. Wrong. Crypto is only valuable if somewhere down the line it is exchanged for GOODS or SERVICES. Just like a fiat currency, or for that matter Gold/silver/etc (with the exception of instances in which they are the desired goods, as they have some utility on their own). A bank isn't required anywhere in this equation; what is required is someone in possession of something which you can EAT/DRINK/USE AS SHELTER who is willing to trade you some of said goods for your crypto/cash/nuggets. That's it. Period. |

So long as devs stick at it and work gets put about the place am sure it will be a lot bigger than doge. I know doge was here first but its not going to last the way things are going for them. Shame really as could been much more and a lot bigger. Even tho are currently big now since they went merged lost dev and then some its going back down to earth. Much loss, much flue broke, much dump, much over. Roll on the dark side of the doged  Bigger as Doge? No. Show the Price, the Price donīt go up the last three months.... the best way to push DOGED is a better Promotion. what can you do with a coin with the best dev and the best anonym wallet if nobody trade with this coin and the Price donīt go up So promote the coin already. Get on social media, talk about it, accept it for a service or good, spend it, give it away, get your friends to install the mobile wallet, etc. That sort of thing is up to us as a community, if you want a coin with a "PR team", there are plenty. I also think doged gonna explode one day !!! This is the only real anonymous coin and i think it can have a great market for that !! Doged dev is one of the best ive ever seen. Just whatever station gets relayed in downtime ain't my bag. BTW if any of you haven't listened to RickStoner's shows on DOGEDRadio you are really missing out, not only does he do a great job with the content, the production quality is very good. It sounds "professional" like a slick corporate radio station except the content isn't drivel, it's fun, informative, and usually interactive via IRC or call-in. Or trollbox on an exchange that's being discussed, etc. CoinMetal is fucking awesome, i need more of it in my life erock23! |

The word "Doge" or "Dogecoin" does not invoke a joke theme anymore. The word "Doge" has become synonymous with the idea of a smaller version of Bitcoin. So i'm not worried about the name. Not worried about the word "Dark" either. Maybe rebrand in five years to "DogecoinElite" when the price has far surpassed that of the original Dogecoin, but for now the name "DogecoinDark" lets people know immediately that they are getting an affordable anonymous coin. And for anyone that discovers this coin and is curious enough to do some research, i.e. come here and read this message board, they'll quickly find out that this is a coin on the forefront of anonymous tech.

i do understand risk of electricity but i have some free colocated servers doing nothing so they better make few bucks than just idle I'd be a fool not to hop in here and say it might be worth your while to check out mining DogecoinDark. At the very least it would further decentralize the network, which is good for the fledgling coin |

well i think everyone wants it to be higher, but i dont think anyone has a "problem" with it as it is.. lower price is good.. means more people can get in.. What can i make with a coin that Price is cheap? The Goal of the coin is to pay with this coins. What can i make with a coin with a good and anonym wallet but i canīt buy with this coin. Sry, my bad english. you know it. This is definitely a legitimate concern (really not just for DOGED as much as for crypto in general from what I can tell); none of these 'coins' - or physical coins for that matter - is actually MONEY unless people can trade them for STUFF or services. This whole trading thing is all fine and dandy, but it's just a game and (as usual) a fairly well-RIGGED one at that. That is magic money-from-thin-air horse shit, not a reclamation of financial sovereignty and acknowledgement that War Is Over (If We Want It). ...which means that it is up to US as a community to offer goods and services in exchange for our currency/ies of choice. You know, currencies like dogeCoin DARK. <3 One site that allows you to post auction items eB*y style and list DogeCoinDark as an accepted currency is http://unbreakablecoinauctions.com/. I usually have some books and things listed there and it is my preferred coin for payment. I have yet to actually have anyone purchase anything from one of those auctions but the txes will come. dogedDev has built and continues to improve the lil "ecosystem" around the coin ; If you build it, they will come. agreed. Also, from where I'm looking, the Dev doesn't promise stuff, just one day "O HAI guise I been working on <awesome thing x> wanna see?" in IRC, then it gets tested, then it goes live. None of that roadmapp/infographic/vapourware bull crap. I love it. |

Going back to the name change, I personally think that changing the name would be a good thing, just not sure what to change it too. It seems (most other coins) are quite higher that we are over here and DOGE has a bad taste in peoples mouths. Just my opinion because I love the coin, just want to see it be better and more! And I think we are headed that way, just think a name change would be a good thing and would get us away from the DOGE coin area. Just my 2 cents as I am fully into this coin and want it to succeed!! I dunno mayne. Personally I think any new name would have to be completely badASS and just 100% perfect no question about it for rebranding to be worth a darn. We need more widespread mining, we need good distribution, which means we need to step up as a community and reach out to people and get them some coin and we need to EXCHANGE IT FOR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. It isn't money, unless you can trade it for STUFF. This isn't a PnD coin, hyped to alphacentauri and back destined for the landfill after the ejaculatory 1st peak makes some dishonest fuckhead fake money from thin air so he can off it for "real" fake money. It's a budding ecosystem of obfuscated P2P transactions built upon existing and somewhat well-explored "anonymizing" technologies. Gimmicks IMO help the FAR less than the former. The latter choice will flower all by itself; why mess with the momentum? |
