You have to start somewhere.  That being said..

Can't argue there.  Anyway I currently have someone who has offered me what I am asking, and another who also wants it if the other backs out.  Hopefully everything goes well and everyone's happy!

Run QwikMark on the drive to find out it's transfer speed. My 16gb drive from Memory Dealers does about 20mbps.

I believe that will only find a subjective speed.  My PC has different specs than the next, everyone's PC is different.  I did however download the software just in case more people step forward and want it tested.  I do not want to plug it in if I do not have to just to keep the drives "new" status.  While I don't have the packaging, the drive has never been plugged into anything.

I'l take it for 20 BTC shipped to an American address.

At this exact moment is $3.00= 1BTC so 20BTC = $60.  As long as I get $60 worh of BTC at time of sending, you will be the new owner of this thumb drive.  I can ship as soon as tomorrow morning if we get everything worked out quickly.  I would liked to be payed before shipping, and I am not going to charge extra for the ship.  It will be USPS first class with tracking information.  Just keep posting here or PM me. I appreciate the support!

Thank you for the good vibes my man (aka Spike), I really do hope to sell but being such a new member I think my chances are slim to none here.  I have also listed it on craigslist but at a higher price since I want to support BTC and hopefully make it grow.  I did put in my CL that I would be offering a discount with payment in BTC.  I have only received questions such as what is bitcoin and what is the discount?  We will see what happens.

Again thanks for the good wishes!  I'm gonna need them.

I did not know almost every thing in your last post Spike.  But as of yet I am holding with my current price of $60.  I just want to recoup as much as possible,  I hope you understand where I am coming from there.  I have always considered PNY to be a reputable company with quality products.  I have never purchased anything of PNY brand and have it DOA as it has happened with items on a very small list of not as highly regaurded company (products).  If anyone would like my to pop it in and test briefly please say something because as of now it is totally unused!

60MB/s theoretical.
31MB/s maximum from my Sata 6gb/s in a USB 2.0 dock.
My generic thumb drives get 4-8mb depending on file size.

I was saying USB 2.0 supports up to 60MB/s in its designed specifications.  I didn't see any specifications on what the drive supports. I thought I was clear in saying I did not know how fast the actual device will operate at.

Thank you for the dumpster diving suggestion!

I don't have the receipt  or do you think I would be trying to sell it for this price, $60 vs $100?  I just want to recoup something.

Sorry to give you a hard time, I think $60 is a reasonable price and if I needed a drive like that I would get snap it up. What speed is it?

It is USB 2.0 which I think is somewhere around 60MB/S.  I have no idea what the flash memory inside is capable of, as I didn't see it on the package (didn't look either) and they don't even have the 64gig listed on PNY's site.

I understand exactly what you are saying. Generally I buy from newegg, but I had a giftcard for BB.  Either way I would like to recoup some of the money I spent.  I hope I can make something of this!

I have a brand new never used 64Gb USB2.0 thumb drive which is out or packaging.  I do not have packaging or warranty papers.  I bought it just about a week ago and the very next day my wife came home with at 32GB thumb drive which is plenty for me.  I just bought the biggest one I could find at Best Buy, since I only had a 4GB before.  I would like to get approximately 20 BTC, or $60 for it, as I payed $99.99+tax.

I have not even used the flash drive yet, it has never been used unless the manufacturer plugged it in to test.  It is a PNY ATTACHE 64 thumb drive.  I apologize I do not have original packaging or warranty information as it hit the garbage as soon as I got home.  I am not one to follow any warranty cards or crap like that because it seems easier to get a new one than fight to get what you deserve.

I am attaching a couple images  One of the images has the 4GB drive which is no longer available, because the image quality is better than the image taken just now.  I have a cheap camera and since it is dark the flash distorts the image very badly but I want a fresh image for you all.

Thanks nmat, I am going to look at it when I get done with this post.

Anyway it seems like just about everyone here is selling goods for BTC or exchanging them so it leads me to this.  I would like to get in on the action just don't know if there would be any demand for it but here it goes.  I have a bunch of unused cable that I have leftover from when I built my house.  I have a spool of cat5, HDMI 1.3, and if I remember correctly 12g speaker wire that is being unused.  I have the crimpers and ends to put on each cable to make custom lenghts suitable to peoples demand.  I don't know what they would be worth each.  I know the cat5 is dirt cheap.  The HDMI was pretty expensive for me but I could probably part with that for around $2-3/ft plus $1 per end. So say the HDMI was 10ft it would be around $22.  The speaker wire is high end stuff too and I can't remember what I spent for the 500ft spool but it wasn't cheap.  Like I said I don't know what the cat5 and speaker wire would be worth to people but I cant go lower than $2 a foot on the HDMI.  Just wondering if you think anyone would be interested

What exactly is the web of trust thing you speak of netrin?  I have never heard of it and sounds as it could be of some use in confirming legitimacy although I didn't think it to be a problem for merchants just peer to peer stuff.  How exactly does pgp add to the trust thing, I thought it was just for encrypting information.  If it was encrypted how would we be able to read the reviews?  I'm really lost now..

Yea man I have seen this in another thread.  I just got done going through and browsing the different merchants on it.  That is perfect for me since I'm still trying to figure where I wanna use the coins I get.  There are quite a few prospects there.  I only wish more people would have reviewed them before I got to it, you know what I mean?  Very useful though I hope more people add reviews so it really provides a scope on where to and not to support.  I know I will add my reviews to there when I finally break down and pass my coins along.

BTW thanks for the link!
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did you get your first bitcoin? on: November 25, 2011, 02:44:26 AM
My first coins were from them faucets and such.  I think total I only got .007BTC,  I know crazy right!  As for the rest I sold a guy that I play Half Life with one of my PS3's for 40BTC.  I am just an enthusiast.  I will keep like 10BTC in a wallet I won't touch until the price sky rockets and the rest are to be bartered.  I plan on upgrading some of the Home Theater gear I have and will probably sell that for bitcoin and trade it to a giftcard or something unless I find a suitable merchant for my upgrades.

This is awesome, almost the same as my thread.  Glad I seen it too bad I looked over it before starting a new thread.  Oh well I guess this is what the newbie section is set up for.  Anyway the review site has plenty of merchants that I would love to check out!
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Favorite Merchants who accept BTC on: November 24, 2011, 11:16:52 PM
Well I am sure glad I started this thread, there is some great information.  netrin your site is pretty nice although I don't think I have anywhere in my home for your items.  Btcintstant looks pretty badass I like it.  Being able to spend at just about any retailer makes these coins a lot more useful for me.  I bet they can make a killing before bitcoins really take off!  I mean if they hit mainstream there is no limit I would think.  There aren't enough people excepting coins yet, it seems it's still just you pioneers and I finally joining the wagon.

That's sweet.  Im guessing that's the link to your store in your sig.  I'm gonna have to check it out.  I haven't bought anything yet but have sold a few unused items sitting around the house to a couple of people now I just got to decide to cash out or pass them along.  I really like the idea of them and they wont go anywhere if no one spreads them so that's what I'm going to try doing.
