thanks for the heads up! I did my search. bitplastic just ripped me off so I always search first!

they don't seem to update their exchange rates. Right now BTC sells for over $250 and it is using $230.

there needs to be a way to take down his web sites. I just likely got screwed for about 0.4 BTC on Bitplastic.com

I love this coin! I understand how a gold backed coin works but how do you afford to buy that much gold once we hit 1% mined coin later on? I don't imagine you make gains based on how many coins are mined etc.. I'm just confused about this fairly important detail.

One thing worth noting is the temperature with the conductive thermal paste is around 74C depending on ambient in the room reaches 76C at times which is much better than the 96C I was getting before.

On average I'm getting about 670GH/s but it peaks at about 800GH/s. Running at 900MHz no voltage tuning yet. Otherwise, I'm running what is recommended in this thread. I don't remember the exact details.

sorry, i seem to have walked into this thread blindly.

I didn't mean to promote other shares on your thread. I was thinking if Hippos was looking to buy shares, those are trust worthy in my opinion.

Yeah, I've gotten burned a few times too. We all do. That's too bad. I trust the guys at TRADER, MSP, DEPT and Deptbond1. If you buy some of those you will make some honest money.

thanks. I like hearing it from other people and unfiltered.

Not much activity here. What was the reason behind the June 30th dividend being so horrible?

What is the highest clock rate that has been achieved? I find anything above 900MHz causes the hash rate to drop in half even when my temperatures are below 80C. I may be power limited or can I play with the voltages somehow?
|
|
|
did you try the 25MHz clock rate?
|
|
|
if it has a cooling issue it could do this. try 25Mhz clock rate.
|
|

if you can flip the board over while it's running you'll see the pins for the PCI-E. one of the rows is +12v and tthe other is ground. Check those while it's trying to power up. It might be difficult to spot so watch the voltage carefully while you start cgminer.

Use a volt meter if you have one. You could try running at super slow clock rate. 100Mhz for example .

Not sure what I am missing, but what screw are you using to attach the Nepton 280L cooling head to the board, nothing seems to fit.
I had to go to home depot and get 8x 3/4" 6-32(think thats what they are, well normal coarse thread PC) screws Same here. I actually prefer this method to the thumbscrews, have more control and easier to make small adjustments. https://i.imgur.com/R8Sytcj.jpgThanks.. Got it sorted Anyone know what is this error? Im seeing something weird. I measured all the pcie connectors.. they are all 12.8v. But I noticed that FAN 2, 3 has low power as the fans are slow, FAN 4 has full power (fan is going really fast).. Another thing that is happening. I went to power cycle the board like this: 1. USB & power supply off 2. Turn on power supply 3. Plug in usb The board will start up, but then keep cycling (nepton head light goes on and off, and fans wind down and start back up again. This keeps happening on a loop. If I do: 1. USB & power supply off 2. Plug in usb 3. Turn on power supply It starts and doesn't do the loop above. EDIT: The loop happens when cgminer is running, I just shut it down and did: 1. USB & power supply off 2. Turn on power supply 3. Plug in usb And it is firing normally. Ok now have this error: [2014-06-25 02:47:06] Started cgminer 4.4.1 [2014-06-25 02:47:07] Probing for an alive pool [2014-06-25 02:47:07] ERR: Asked to memcpy 0 bytes from usbutils.c _usb_read():3075 [2014-06-25 02:47:07] HFA : OP_USB_INIT failed! Operation status 20 (Regulator programming error) I have seen "HFA : OP_USB_INIT failed! Operation status 20 (Regulator programming error)" and I think it's lack of available power that can cause this. If you could monitor the voltage of the PCI-E while running you might see if it is dipping during operation. It is normal for FAN 4 to be fast all the time. My board does the same. The other fans speed up once the board is mining successfully.

I'm new to mining and only have a tiny Habanero miner in my basement. When I saw the SP30 I convinced my wife to buy a few. Now the worry of waiting begins.

After seeing the mess that KNC just released called the Neptune I would say that you guys are the only shop that actually knows how to build a machine. The rest of the competition is just hacked together crap compared to your shiny box's. Beautiful software too.
I agree, but what's the point? My Avalon's didn't last a year. My S1's aren't going to last a year. Not a lot as far as mining equipment is going to last more than a year. Still, wouldn't running an SP30 for a year provide a great return?
