Question: Are bank wires and ACH payments done by the same provider? As in, will wires not be available until you can find a different ACH provider? Thanks.

Hi all, I'm finally upgrading from 2.7.3 and im running into that "autogen.sh no such file exists" problem that I've seen around, but I tried running though the dependencies and they all check out. Also I get the make error "no rules found". It's been like 6 months since I've had to do this last, what am I missing?
I presume you are thus getting the source code NOT from git.
Skip autogen and just run ./configure --enable-bitforce ; make clean ; make

... as per the README ...
Code:
./autogen.sh	# only needed if building from git repo

This is true, however I still get "no rule to make target". Am I missing a flag?

Herp Derp...was missing libusb-1.0 (was stated in config logs)

Thanks giga you are, as always, a gentleman and scholar. This is what I used before, but couldn't find now. I'm having problems with autogen not being found and and no rules for make. Is there a good thread that I can get linked to so that I don't keep threadcrapping here?

I apologize if this isn't the appropriate place for this, but I went thought all the steps on my headless client to get the new version of cgminer. When I start the new version it still states that it is the old version (2.7.3), even when I have deleted the old files. I think it has something to do with installation, but it has been over six months since I have worked with linux  Undecided

Ah yeah, that's probably the issue.  I would upgrade to the latest, which is 2.11.x

You are wayyy behind Smiley

Sigh...guessed as much Smiley Well, I'm off to upgrade I guess.

I'm still running 2.7.3 because I had problems with the newer versions (2.8.x) and I haven't ssh'd into my mining rig for months.

When did this happen?  The servers were up and down a little bit last night as I worked on them.

It has been happening over the last 72 hours or so. The most recent one was around 730 PDT this morning. On my end it doesn't seem that anything is wrong, because my clients connect and start mining as usual, but just seem to drop randomly. It's not the internet connection, because I run my PC off the same connection and it's fine.

Forums are broken at the moment, I haven't had time to get them fixed.

Vannicke, your shares will be credited to the current block, you won't lose any shares.

Thanks, I'm also having problems with my miners getting disconnected frequently. This has just started happening in the last couple of days, has anyone else reported problems? Or is this all on my end? I've tried US1 and US3 pools with similar results.

Is anyone having problems accessing the forums? The last couple of days I've been getting not found errors, is this related to the DB work?
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Problems using RPi with cgminer on: August 21, 2012, 11:46:23 PM
yeah I use a netbook to host my fpga miners at it only adds 10 watts to the rig, not bad at all.

But you are supposed to use something a little more powerful then whats recommended if your going to be mining through usb

try 5.25 volts instead of 5 and increase the ma a bit

You are talking about the power adapter to the RPi itself right?
12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Problems using RPi with cgminer on: August 21, 2012, 08:02:13 PM
I have both a powered hub and a power adapter rated at the correct voltage per the RPi suggestions...so not sure quite what to do. I just went ahead and got a used mini pc, which I can always use for other things if the Rpi ends up working in the future.

Interesting. Well that puts me pretty well in a jam, because I need my laptop for school, and I cant have them on my desktop because of BSOD issues and the heat.

Guess I'll just have to limp along until support is better.

Perhaps my understanding is lacking, but why exactly?
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Problems using RPi with cgminer on: August 20, 2012, 07:02:25 PM
I have 9 hooked up to it. The ones that are working run rock solid more or less, at least as well as they did on W7, but three just give nothing but Comms Errors. It is vaguely similar to a problem I had with cgminer versions after 2.3.6 where I could not run all nine in the same instance, and had to split it into 6 & 3. I may try that later today.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Problems using RPi with cgminer on: August 20, 2012, 05:16:51 PM
So I have finally switched over to using my Raspberry Pi to manage my BFL Singles so that I can have my laptop back, but I'm running into some problems. I was using the Windows 7 version on my laptop, and while I did have a few problems (was still using 2.3.6 because it worked best), everything was pretty good. However, after switching to linux which I am not as familiar with, more problems are coming up. The biggest one is that all my singles sometimes refuse to run at stock speeds, which they have been for months using the windows version of cgminer. Also, more importantly about 1/3rd of them throw "Comms Error" and go down to 0MH/s. I've seen it on different units at different times, so it doesn't appear to be necessarily related to individual units.

I'm not really sure what causes these to happen, so I'm not really sure how to start troubleshooting it. Anyone have any idea? This is really driving me crazy...
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Installing earlier version of cgminer on RPi on: August 10, 2012, 05:49:46 AM
Well I'm a dork. Just downloaded an old tar, and it worked. Dont know what in the heck I did before...
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Installing earlier version of cgminer on RPi on: August 10, 2012, 02:55:21 AM
So I have successfully installed 2.6.4 on my RPi (thanks to wogaut in this thread), except man is it full of problems. My 9 singles ran fine for months on 2.3.6 at slightly overclocked speeds. Then I use 2.6.4 and it throws all sorts of errors. As far as I can tell, without a good knowledge of linux, this is the only way to install that I can find currently, which uses the github zip.

Does anyone know where to find archived/older github zips? Or alternatively how to install on the RPi from older .tar files?
