Just sent 4.3 BTC in and it's taking longer than it should.. Scary stuff.

Edit: Arrived just now.

@ANVI

also what settings are you running with those clocks?

Code:
--shaders 2048 --intensity 13 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2

These settings seem to work very well with lower memory speeds.
High TC, high intensity, -g 1 require you to overclock heavily.. which is not very good.

If 1030MHz / 1249MHz doesn't work for you, try 919 MHz / 1375MHz. That gives 660 kHash on my sapphire card (reference, not GHz edition).

when i install 13.1 drivers cgminer always crashes at the beginning any1 know how to fix this?

I had to do clean install by running ATIman uninstaller before installing 13.1.

I would like to see your magic formula for 720 on 7970 with core 1030 and memory 1250, this doesn't make any sense .

can you post a Picture here to see these settings , if what you are saying is true this means that we are all doing it the wrong way, or somehow you have some good luck or a magic card .

Here you go, I originally got this config from a other user in this thread. (he used 1022/1244)
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: May 01, 2013, 08:49:30 AM
For me 13.1 has been faster than 13.3 and 13.4..

Cat13.1 7970 @ 1030 / 1250MHz gets me 720 kHash and 13.3+ 685 kHash
5  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 good for mining? on: April 26, 2013, 08:57:03 PM
I can't get proper settings with my Sapphire 7970 (reference) and topping out at 710kHash, but different cards are never really the same when it comes to litecoin mining... My HIS 7970 IceQ2 gets me 804 kHash at 1147/1825MHz Smiley Or 720kHash at 1031/1250MHz, which is a lot more efficient.

Dear kncminer. Can I pay by "cash on delivery" or once the product is ready for shipping? I'm located in Helsinki, Finland
I'm scared to pay before the products are finished, demonstrated, and packaged for shipping.

Also the Mars miner price point seems high to me. BFL's non-existing BitForce 5 GH/s SC miner is advertised at $274.00, which might actually make ROI, if they ship during this year.

6GH+/s miner at $ 2,795.00 is likely to never meet ROI.. 6500Mhash @dif 8974296.01489/ profit per Month $1,524.78, but fact is that difficulty will take 2 huge leaps for every following month. In couple months the profit figure is probably near $100 per month.

Upgrade protection built in to any Mars purchase with vouchers for up to $2000 off of any Jupiter purchase.

Does this mean, that I get $2000 off Jupiter price with a single Mars purchase?

490k? They've sold 3 batches, total 1.5k units.. Though I don't know how many actual chips each unit contains..

I've come to a conclusion that cgminer 2.11.3 is a lot faster than 2.11.4 on my 7970 cards. I can get up to 15-25 kHash/s more on the older version. I hope others will try and report here if that also applies to you.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 19, 2013, 11:36:01 AM
Your TC is too high.. See first post of this thread. Plus it takes time (10-30 minutes) for pool to report your hash rate correctly.. It's just reporting the AVG over time, so nothing wrong with cgminer.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 19, 2013, 11:19:38 AM
I pre-ordered, but no payment was required. I'm hoping that we won't have to pay until shipment Smiley
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Consolidated Litecoin Mining Guide for 5xxx, 6xxx, and 7xxx GPUs on: April 18, 2013, 11:26:21 PM
So I had all 4 cards running in my case, but with them being all crammed together, it was way too hot.  So I pulled everything out and sat it on a rack.  I have 2 of the cards plugged into the board, a 3rd card plugged in via 16x riser cable, but couldn't get the 4th card to work with another 16x riser cable. So, I ordered a 1x to 16x riser cable and hopefully this will solve my problem.

In the meantime, I'm running 3 cards and getting pretty nice hashrates.  These are my settings and results using cgminer 2.11.3 and AMD Catalyst 13.1 drivers:

--intensity 13 -g 2  715/710 = ~1500Kh/s
--intensity 13 -g 2  925/1000 = ~1950Kh/s
--intensity 13 -g 2  1000/1206 = ~2100Kh/s
--intensity 13 -g 2  1022/1244 = ~2150Kh/s

Other settings:
--thread-concurrency 8192 -w 256

I've literally spent most of a entire week playing around with settings and trying to find the sweet spot and I feel like I'm pretty much there.  As you can see, I actually underclocked my cards to get these hashrates.  Stock clocks are 1100 core/1500 memory.  Unfortunately the default voltage is about 1.2 volts on my cards and its locked (@#&($$^(@&$!!), otherwise, I'd be able to save 100-150W easily by undervolting.

I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of these cards and getting 7950s or 7970s that don't have the voltage locked.  Having the voltage locked is such a huge drawback, I'm just wasting too much power right now.

I'm amazed that you can get over 700kHash with those clocks Smiley I managed to get 665kHash with 988/1244, but just can't manage 700+ without going 1700+ on memory clocks. Catalyst 13.1 just crashes on CGMiner 2.11.4, so I'm using 13.3 beta3.. perhaps I should try the older cgminer?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 15, 2013, 09:30:14 PM
They aren't asking for anyone's money anyway, so I think you are taking this identity hunt a bit too seriously at this point.
Wait until they post more information or demo a functional product..

Tbh. kncminer announced too early, if they are just starting up. No one wants to see another BFL ASIC stunt..

This is why everyone should always browse the web with Firefox and NoScript addon... You have to manually whitelist sites/domains that you trust.

Hello, i have questions about 5970 cards.

Is it possible to use 3 cards (6 gpu) under windows? Dummy plugs are mandatories ??

How can i undervolt these cards to run 3 cards on 1000w psu.

Thanx in advance Smiley

I don't see a problem with it software wise, but u'll most likely need stronger PSU or add 2nd PSU to the system. Does your PSU have enough PCIe 6+2 cables?
Dummy plugs aren't required anymore (as of Catalyst 12.8 if I recall correctly)

Use MSI Afterburner to control voltage etc.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2013, 06:27:33 PM
Interesting. Hopefully there will be a demonstration of a functional product before any pre-orders/purchase are available!
Will keep watching the thread.

P.S. please fix the password issue on your site.. I used some special characters in my password, but now I can't login.
16  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Asking for help [Reaper, Coinotron, Stratum] on: April 05, 2013, 09:56:59 PM
Remove vectors 1 from litecoin.conf and I'm not sure what platform 0 does on reaper.conf.. If you can't get it to work, just use cgminer instead.

Here's what my reaper.conf looks like
Code:
kernel reaper.cl
save_binaries yes
enable_graceful_shutdown no
long_polling yes

mine litecoin
device 1

That is pretty good. What intensity are you using? 20 crashes display driver for me Sad

I'm showing 0 shares when my workers are connected to stratum.eu.give-me-ltc.com via stratum mining_proxy. The miners are hashing correctly though and there was no authentication errors.. Shares are given correctly when pointing mining_proxy to stratum.give-me-ltc.com

Is it a bug or am I missing something? Sad
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [s] litecoinpool.org account on: April 03, 2013, 02:57:50 PM
From what I've heard, there's really high stale rates on that (~10%). Normally I've got below 1% stales on stratum pools..
I should give it a try though.
