13.1 was complete garbage for me. Installing 13.3 increased my hashrate across my 7970s and 7870 LEs.

Yes, on 12 different GPUs across 4 rigs.

One of my cards has me puzzled. It's a 7950 on a 7970 PCB (Sapphire OC). I can mine 1150 core at 0.94V actual and memory goes to 1700+ no problem but I can't get the expected hashrate out of it.

I have no such problems with my 7970s...3 different brands all performing as expected (750kh at 1088/1875, 720 at 1015/1750 and one 660 at 956/1650)

The 7950 is sharing a mainboard with a 7970 but I've tried singling the card out with settings but it just won't do top hash rates. At 1150/1640 it manages about 580 kh/s but I've clocked it down slightly to 1130/1620 since the temps went up. Gives me 565 ish. I've tried lower clocks (for memory especially) any number I could think of but I don't get anywhere near as good as I've seen some people do. I'm using cgminer (latest and previous) with 8192 concurrency g2 i13. Higher concurrencies did not gain anything, most of them lost quite a bit.

Anyone have one of these particular cards with better results?

Maybe now we can pull 650+ kh/s out of 7970s.

Try a core of 950 MHz and a memory speed of 1525 MHz, you should pull over 400 kh/s I would think.

I have a 7950 getting 640 kh/s at 1050/1500.

I tried your suggestion and the khash did not appear to increase.
wow, that's just a monster hash hã? nice, how did u do that? my i did 550 and some times drivers crashes lol

how did u get so far without any problems? i have xfx HD7950(2xHD7950) and get 1.1 to 1.17 mh/s some times....

and when driver crashes, only restaring PC to put it back to normal...and even them some times no luck, can't pass 300kh/s....

after fews restart/screaming/pissing off my self, just got working normal, out of the blue...

I had to do clean install by running ATIman uninstaller before installing 13.1.

I would like to see your magic formula for 720 on 7970 with core 1030 and memory 1250, this doesn't make any sense .

can you post a Picture here to see these settings , if what you are saying is true this means that we are all doing it the wrong way, or somehow you have some good luck or a magic card .

Here you go, I originally got this config from a other user in this thread. (he used 1022/1244)

^ my 7970s do 350 kh/s with those settings lol....scrypt is weird there is some strange thing going on where individual components need different ideal settings even though they should be the same from a software level.

There could be several reasons for this I found out.
I had this problem, thinking it was having the "gpu-platform" : "1", switch, but for some reason on the first initial run, it crashes trying to create the bin, me by removing "gpu-platform" : "1",, firing cgminer up stopped the first initial crash, after the first initial run without "gpu-platform" : "1",, I would edit the config and reinsert "gpu-platform" : "1",, and it would run fine. Then I started to mess around with thread concurrency, having it to high, crashed my cgminer.

amazing, but it still doesn't make any sense, I really have no answer for that, I am thinking how would this work for you ....  I will investigate it and let you know

From my testing I've found that 7970s do better with a core/memory ratio of 0.57575757.. and with the following settings:

Code:
--thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2

With 7950s, they just require a high core and memory clock and the following settings:

Code:
--thread-concurrency 21000 -I 19 -w 256 -g 1

I couldn't find any conclusive patterns regarding a special core/memory ratio that yielded the best Kh/s.  My two 7950s are clocked at 1100/1600 @ 1.024v and get about 635 Kh/s each.

Since you're mining with a combination of the two, try running two instances of CGMiner.  Use -d 0 -d 1 -d 2.... to mark the cards you want to mine on.

same my 7950's got in the 300's i think he has something different going on, with all the trixx settings, cgminer settings, something might be out of wack. Yet again he does have a 7970 so its very possible.

Anyone have any experience with HIS HD 7970 iceq x2 http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-691.shtml

I've tried absolutely everything i can think of and I'm pulling my hair out. The best i can get is 600KH/s with reaper. It's pretty depressing to see people with 7950's getting 660kh/s and I'm stuck with these cards.

Can anyone explain this to me?
In GUIMiner (scrypt version), I can use thread concurrencies higher than 8192, but in CGMiner, I can't.  When I try to use values higher than 8192, I get the dreaded "Error -61:..." message.  This doesn't really make any sense to me at all.  GUIMiner is nothing but a frontend for CGMiner!

just FYI - i moved an old machine that has been hashing just fine a long time on 12.8 to the new 13.4 AMD and now cgminer crashes instantly.  It can no longer mine.

I have tried everything - guess going to reinstall the OS.

try atiman uninstaller worked great for me when I installed 13.1 drivers and crashed my cgminer. You have to turn off UAC user account control to install the program and also have it off to run the uninstaller

HIS 7970 iceq x2

If i don't specify a thread concurrency and only specify shaders of --shaders 2048 cgminer will auto pick the thread concurrency for me. It picks under 8192 and my hast rate is 700 but i get lots of hardware errors.

As soon as i specify a thread concurrency of 8192 i get 600 hash rate but no errors.

Why can't i use under 8192?

@ANVI

also what settings are you running with those clocks?

Code:
--shaders 2048 --intensity 13 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2

These settings seem to work very well with lower memory speeds.
High TC, high intensity, -g 1 require you to overclock heavily.. which is not very good.

If 1030MHz / 1249MHz doesn't work for you, try 919 MHz / 1375MHz. That gives 660 kHash on my sapphire card (reference, not GHz edition).
