1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bet 19 BTC that you treat your bitcoins like they are your kids! be honest! on: August 26, 2015, 03:01:03 AM
Well I do have a few hundred million of my kids in cold storage so you're not far from the truth.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Global stock market selloff has started on: August 24, 2015, 02:30:59 PM
Bitcoin would be in a much stronger position to benefit from this latest global crash if it weren't subject to a hostile takeover attempt by vested interests in bed with the CIA and NSA, with those in a position to defend it too busy with their own attempts to further centralise and monetise their control.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Company plans to build $50 Billion supercomputer in NewMexico for Bitcoin mining on: August 19, 2015, 10:55:33 PM
I feel like this article is mixing technical terms. Is this an ASIC farm, or an exascale general purpose processor based supercomputer?
Neither, it's a mix of scam and delusion, weighted towards delusion given the quoted communication a few posts up where John Fitzpatrick proposes taking ownership of Intel in exchange for shares in his one-person "company".
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for EXPERT partner for mining business on: August 18, 2015, 11:26:50 PM
In my opinion it would be pointless to open a mining business right now. You will need several million dollars in order to compete with mining pools like bit fury or 21 Inc. I would also suggest you to invest in a mining equipment lab, you will need the most advances miners to be ahead of your competition.
Uhh the OP isn't asking how to compete with the dominant mining pools, they're asking for guidance and advice, and mining with free electricity is far from "pointless".

Even taking into account peoples' personal feelings about what Karpeles "deserves" I don't think such an obviously corrupt system is something to be celebrated. I was under the impression that part of the value of Bitcoin is the ability to bypass corrupt governments and institutions, so why would you rejoice at their existence?
So, you thought Bitcoin is for scamming people without consequences?
Why on earth would you think that based on what I said?
