I got started after reading about in on some crypto forum and looking deeper into it. I saw how cool it is and my hours of sleep per week have gone down hill from there  Wink

I will say $14 by the end of the year. But I think people cranking out over 40 Gigahashes and buying all of the coins dirt cheap and stocking them could destroy the bitcoin. picture 3 big banks (people) holding all the coins. Than what?
My guess is the demand would go up and people would start trading with the few bitcents floating around.

What are your reasons why you invest your time into bitcoin?

Thanks!
I have a few reasons. Like most people who use bitcoin I like the freedom from any centralized entity. I also see the system as somewhat elegant, bitcoin pays people with bitcoin to mine and keep itself running. I can also see it, or it's future predecessor becoming the world's currency, so it's nice to feel like something of a pioneer.

How secure is Mt. gox? Are they the most secure of the online currency converters?

They were hacked a while ago, so idk.

This isn't really anything most decent forums don't have.

Really? I've never seen any forums that required time online to become established, let alone 4 hours.

5 posts is easy, but 4 hours online?

Using BTC is inherently very risky. I think the majority of people have been victims at this point.
I support the first sentence of this post, but from what i've seen only stupid people have been victims at this point.

There is a (new?) trojan wallet stealer out in the wild ATM.

Plenty of script kiddies and scammers are going to be trying to get you to download and install it, what's more they'll be putting posts to do so (using lies obviously).

Don't install anything linked to on this forum, unless it's been found by someone with a good reputation to be legit. Assume everything is an attempt to steal your wallet.
Here is a portable apps version http://www.freeotfe.org/downloads/FreeOTFEExplorer_3_51.paf.exe

Hmmm....
>_>
