is there a way to automate a reboot daily on one or more of my S5 miners using CG?
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E Scam on: June 12, 2015, 11:55:56 AM
Interesting twist.  I received the below email today.  Now they're lying again.  This time they're saying they flat out paid me.  LIARS! THIEVES!  THEY DID NOT PAY ME BACK!  NO SUCH REFUND WAS ISSUED OR RECEIVED to the below wallet, or any other wallet I own.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS!

Here is the email:

3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 2.157 BTC stolen from BTC-E.com (PSA) on: June 11, 2015, 12:02:42 PM
We responded to your ticket, we will send you a emails sent to dumps to confirm the withdrawal. Once again we remind that without confirming the withdrawal of funds by email withdraw funds impossible.

What does this even mean?  I've been reading, writing and speaking English for over 40 years, and I'll be darned if I can understand this incomprehensible statement.  I get the same incomprehensible statements from BTC-E and Clickbetter with every inquiry.  It seems to be their way of avoiding addressing any real issue, while simultaneously stealing from its customers.  BTC-E customer service needs to improve 1000 fold.
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTC-E Scam on: June 11, 2015, 11:47:40 AM
Soooooo - It has now been well over 21 days and this sham of a dishonest company has responded to my new query today with the same old lie stating that they have already issued the refund and to be patient.  What a crock of shit.  I warn everyone who is thinking about participating in the BTC-E Scam that this company is DISHONEST!  Do not give them any of your BTC, as you will not likely ever see any of it back in the event that you attempt to take them up on their sham of a refund. Telling customers for a month that they have been issued a refund and to be patient while never issuing any refund is thievery.  No company I know that lies to their customers like this will ever remain in business.  Steer clear of them!

Sounds great.  It's working now.  Beautiful GUI.  Nice job.  One last question for now: In your program, my rigs appear to "come and go", meaning they always appear to switch from offline to online (fairly constantly).  This tends to cause all of the other windows to continually re-arrange themselves.  Is there anything I can do about this?
Are your rigs on your local network or hosted externally? It's switching status because it's taking longer than 2 seconds to get a response from the miner.

They are local.  Anything I can do to speed up response time?
Not sure what you can do locally... However if you want to edit a file, you can change this value until the next release.

Navigate to: C:\cryptoglance\application\includes\classes\miners\
Open with notepad: cgminer.php

Search for:
Code:
$socket = stream_socket_client('tcp://'.$this->_host.':'.$this->_port, $errno, $errstr, 2);

Replace with:
Code:
$socket = stream_socket_client('tcp://'.$this->_host.':'.$this->_port, $errno, $errstr, 10);

One of my widows did that from time to time and now I know why, thanks!

Is any integer a valid input?  I would think 5 seconds would be enough time, for example.

How about incorporating this change into the next revision?  I just upgraded and the change was lost.  Had to put it back.

There will be an option in the settings page that will allow you to add additional time

Perfect. Thanks.  Will the program remember this setting after upgrade?

Any plans to make an Apple IOS version of CG?
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: June 03, 2015, 06:48:14 PM

Then you should know antpool sucks.

Then why are you still here?  Why don't you go find a pool that doesn't suck or are you just one of those that has a chronic need to complain on forums about everything you can't control?  Expectations are usually too high when it comes to mining and every little blip sends people like you into an angry panic which then leads to a series of questionable posts.  But hey, keep the posts coming; the comic relief is awesome!

I have tried other pools but over the long haul the AntPool has outperformed them all for me.  I am happy with the results I'm getting here but it's just from my personal observations.

I completely agree.  I did a comparison of 7-day runs on 6 different pools.  Antpool outperformed the others by a margin of +20%.  They've been great for me!
9  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: June 02, 2015, 03:43:10 PM
whats up with payout on antpool way down , orphaned blocks and blocks with 0 transactions ?

Definitely strange, given the recent history of stability.  Today is a lot better though.
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: June 02, 2015, 12:19:05 PM
so is antpool not go to start mining at right now? seems like they are having issues... whats the average payout for 1th a day?

It fluctuates, but I've been averaging somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.01 BTC/day/TH.

That worked perfect! No more windows jumping around.  It all appears very stable right now with 8 Antminer S5's.

Ok. Th Update Available shows up, but when i try to select the update, I get the message: ==> ERROR: Failed to create the directory: update\v2.1.0.4-beta.

Thoughts?
Can you try another update type, such as Nightly or Release?

Thanks. Release did it.  The other two resulted in the error above.

I believe this is because of an error with the previous build. Majority of the updates from now on should work as expected

it give you this
{"hashrate1m": "1.24T", "hashrate5m": "1.31T", "hashrate1hr": "981G", "hashrate1d": "73.1G", "hashrate7d": "10.7G", "lastupdate": 1433138570, "workers": 3, "bestshare": 23563035.189569253}

from your username which is your btc address.. thats all the info one would need.
Thank you for this!

one more thing, is there a timeout? sometimes one or two of my miners show up as --- --- --- until it gets refreshed again.

i have 3 s3s and 1 s5.
CryptoGlance will initially attempt to fetch data for all devices to generate an overview. After this step, all rigs will update at the speed defined in Settings.

You can always click the Update button in the Overview panel, this should force an update.

Hi Everyone,

Noob question for anyone who cares to answer.  I just downloaded and installed cryptoglance and when I try to add Antpool as a mining pool, "Antpool" does not appear in the pool "Type" dropdown box in the software.  The only options are Bitcoin Affiliate Network, CkPool, Eclipse, Eligius, MagicPool, MPOS, Mutipool.us, NOMP, and WafflePool.

Any suggestions?
AntPool is a fairly new panel. Navigate to Settings, enable App Updates and select your desired branch. The safest branch is Release. The app will prompt you with an Update Available. Click the Update Now button and let the magic happen! Cheesy

Your best bet is to pick a pool and stick with it, whichever pool it is.  Pool hopping will tend to cost you in the long run, especially if you hop pools that tend to mathematically discourage pool hopping.  Sticking to one pool over the course of months will help even out luck and glitches anyway.  If your back-up pool is recording your hash rate when your machines switch, then you will recover most of your potential lost earnings when they send you your next payout.

All great points.  I'll stick with Antpool for 90 days then.  At least I know the backup pools work correctly.

And down we go again.

Yep - I saw it too.  Looks like my S5's are starting to revert back to Antpool again though.  I'll watch Antpool for the next 72 hours and if it doesn't stabilize a bit, I'll swap them to the backup and point my TH at Slush's.
