I was shocked to see that there is so much hate towards me in the forums. This is not a joke but an honest attempt to ask what is most wrong with me in your opinion. Then I can answer if it's something I'm also ashamed about. Or defend the thing if I think it is right and good despite the criticism. No self-moderation. No fanbois. I may not be able to answer all but try to pick some questions that represent a larger audience. I try to not be a prick in this thread.
I'm answering only because it sounds like you are honestly looking for opinions, so I'll offer mine and hope it helps with the answer(s) you are looking for. I was familiar with some of your posts in the other sub-forums, so when I saw your post in this alt forum, I was interested in what you had to say. Given the average post in here, I got the 'I want to keep this thread relatively clean of the normal crap' intent in your initial post, but I did feel the comment that you made that had something to do with not just deleting posts but having the contacts and ability to get people banned did sound like an asshole. That being said, there are a handful of people on this forum that, when I see their posts, I usually read them. You're on that list for me. I'm no one of any note around here, so that may not mean much, but then again, maybe it does. I don't care if you're rich or not, but respect you if you are and made your money legitimately. More power to you for that. I've been mostly away from the forums this summer, so can't really speak on anything more specific that may have grown out of that thread since first few pages. Just about all of the impressive people I've met in my life spend very little time trying to be impressive or trying to impress people. They just are who they are, and that's impressive enough. My suggestion would be simply this: Let your knowledge and experience speak for themselves and I'll still look forward to reading what you have to say. I suspect there are others here who would agree. Just my 2 cents.

I don't know exactly why, but this coin caught my eye early on and I still like it. Would be fun to see it gain some traction.

I like this coin. It has a bite to it...

No one will take over the development of the KDC, everybody give it up!
Did you miss the post from ny2cafuse on the previous page?

I wouldn't buy from a site called Alibaba if I could pay with gypsy tears.
Congrats. You just gave someone an idea for yet another altcoin. Wait, that's assuming GypsyTears or GypsyTearsCoin hasn't already been created... The more of this thread I read, the more i think (hope) igorr must me a troll. I can't imagine that the arguments being stated are genuine. Gooooo governments, central banks, and credit card companies !?! They obviously have all of our best interests in mind.

If I was under 18 and trying to cash out that kind of money, my guardians at the time would have been the first people I would be turning to to help me figure out how to tread what could be tricky waters. I obviously have no idea what your personal situation is, but hopefully you have someone you can turn to? I'm sure the laws are different in Canada, but in the US, I was still on my paren'ts taxes until I was 18, which impacted both how they, and I, could file.
If you're not going to be putting that money in banks, as you stated, are you planning on turning it into goods soon? If not, having that kind of cash sitting around isn't something I personally would be comfortable with at all.
Best of luck to you. Also, major kudos on creating that kind of wealth for yourself at you age.

I'm starting to smell an approaching IPO........
Their is no IPO. *sigh* There Dr. Finance is apparently not a self-taught expert in spelling

21000 blocks already mined? fuck this shit
Does it amaze you that you post something this blatant and yet you are still ignored by others willing to just jump at the next coin? I does amaze me. It's doesn't surprise me, however...

Communitycoin seems to be the fairest distribution so far, and will prove to be far from 'worthless' as you put it. As per OP 100% premine is fine as long as there's an honest and fair distribution.
And you prove this honest and fair distribution how, exactly?
|
|
|
Zero.
You'll hear all kinds of counter-arguments, but they are all self-serving BS. Stay away from premines and IPOs. All of them.
|
|
|
The PREMINE is in hand of a fundation being registered in france, FIRST Coin with an registered NGO with funds to run projects for a crypto. historic.
Mint in inflation is almost the same as Bitcoin inflation right now, we make it that way.
Low interest POS --> less people stacking coins --> LESS SECURITY.
just like Low rewards POW --> less people mining --> LESS SECURITY.
I always enjoy these "my coin can beat up your coin" posts, regardless of the coins involved. You use the term 'we' in a way that makes me assume you are a Mintcoin Dev or on the Foundation you mention? (not worth my time to confirm) If so, why are you here? Go support your coin, and best of luck to you. Don't you think your time would be better spent in the Mintcoin thread? This "your coin must die for my coin to live" BS says far more about the people slinging the crap than anyone else. If the other coin is that great, it should stand up on its own merits and shouldn't require this. This comment goes both ways. If there are BC supporters in other threads trying to do the same, just stop....

OK we keep hearing the FUD question: What is so special about this coin?
No problem here with the answers given but I want to emphasize something. MARKET DEPTH
Look at the volume of this coin, it matters way more than price at this point.
A pump on low volume is utterly meaningless. BC's massive volume indicates it will likely retest those previous highs.
BC has volatility but at massive volume. The volatility attracts traders. Traders will bring new money.
We need to learn to love the traders!
This coin has a lot going for it but the single biggest deal is that it has Market Depth.
The best thing each of you can do is sell 10% of your holdings when we hit new highs (or maybe even sell less than 10% at swing highs)
This does 2 things:
1) Reduces concentration.
2) GIVES YOU BTC TO BUY BCs ON THE SWING LOWS.
3) GIVES YOU BTC/FIAT to add mining capacity hitting the pool.
Yes, the coin will rise slower if everyone does this but it will become stable and trusted over time! Also, the swings will become subdued over time.
Yes, at some point the new highs will be taken out and you won't be able to buy back at a lower price but hopefully you will make a few good trades before that happens.
Volume, trading and patience and we will reach BTC parity - oh yeah I said it.
What makes you think that people who already have large holdings won't be sitting there waiting to purchase these 10% holding sales?

BC is done.
Says the Whitecoin shill. Have fun with that..

DEATH TO MULTIPOOLS! They guy already is already hinting at his hidden agenda.... Such a great day to watching a cancer pool full of noobs get what they deserve! But its not over yet, noob after noob still lining up to get burnt again! Where are the 100K by tonight spruikers now gone? Anyone in the crypto community know cancerpools are nothing but leechers, destroying stable coins. This B.S. about taking out crap coins is total B.S. Riggghhttt, so they are going to mine coin worth 1-2 satoshit - you morons! But thx again this totally made my day! DEATH TO MULTIPOOLS!
I hate to break it to you, but an 11 GHash Scrypt Multipool shouldn't be able to kill a 'stable' coin...

The LAST thing I want is to see what Bill O'Reilly has to say about Bitcoin. He will make NO effort whatsoever to actually learn anything about it and will make a knew-jerk reaction based upon what he has heard so far, and most of that is probably FUD and just wrong.
Then, he'll report that as "news" and since he said it there will be that many more people that have to unlearn what they have been "taught", and only because "well, I heard Bill O'Rilly say"...

Agree with Satoshis, but for a somewhat different reason. With whole BTCs I know I'm dealing with whole coins. With satoshis, I know I'm working from the right of the whole 8 decimal places. mBTC feels like it falls somewhere in the middle to me. calling the BTC rate .451 or whatever it is today is one thing, but doing that for the alts just feels more complicated than satoshis.
I'm ok with switching when we hit 100K sats though. Come to think of it why is there no symbol for mBTC & sats? You'd think bitcointalk would implement one. Funny. I was going to include a bit about switching to mBTC once you hit a certain point too, but figured that might make an already confusing post more so. Thanks for doing so

Cool. I've been looking forward to this since I saw Jeff was giving this talk. I had seen a text-only description of his talk, but going to watch this after KY/Wisconsin for sure. Thanks OP!

My knowledge of Chinese is 0 - please could somebody explain in a few words, what is written there? As best as I can tell using Google Translate, this doesn't seem to be about MetaCoin, specifically. They seem to be using the term metacoin generally, referring to coins like MasterCoin and Counterparty
