1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin-FINAL BETA LAUNCHED! *ENCRYPTION, MARKETPLACE, BTC INTEGRATION* on: March 16, 2016, 05:06:10 PM
Waiting for linux build. Any eta?

We typically don't put together linux builds since most people running linux know how to build from source and generally have to change some things depending on ubuntu/centos/etc and version too. Do you know how to build from source?

If not we can put together a linux distro but because we are very much focused on packaging and testing the next beta release as well as working with additional potential partners, talking to merchants, and prepping marketing materials any linux build would be lower priority at the moment. If you want to try building for linux in the interim this is the code you'll want to run (for testnet) - https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin2/archive/2.0b1.zip if you're trying to build the mainnet wallet v1.5.1.1 you'll want to use this - https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin/archive/1.5.1.1.zip.

Will try to build the linux wallet for ya soon as we can though! Might be able to get it together before the weekend  Smiley

I can build from source. I'll look in your /syscoin2 git for what I need.

now every coin is trying azure.

Apparently that's the way now to get eyes and fake whale volumes to pump a coin and bring some value to it, sad.

Please stop fudding. And to see the real value that brought us to become a partner with Microsoft, try the Beta wallet here: http://syscoin.org/help-us-test-bitcoins-killer-app/

Then if you would like to criticize, you are certainly welcome to either by posting here with valid concerns or by opening an issue on Github here: https://github.com/syscoin/syscoin2/issues

Waiting for linux build. Any eta?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIRAL] [Trading Live - Bittrex + C-CEX] DPoS 2.0 + 5% Dev:Adam Guerbuez on: May 21, 2015, 01:13:37 PM

Adam just took 3 btc from an advertiser and used every penny to immediately buy coins from the sell wall and burn them. Imagine what will happen when Adam sells his first "exclusive" package for 30 btc (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1065194)!!!!!

When that happens there will be a 30 bitcoin flash buy from the sell wall and all coins will be burned! Do you realize how dramatic that will be and it's only a matter of time before it happens!

I understand the economics of winning. And pulling in max buck for the bang (see what i did there?)  Wink
Disclaimer: I own VIRAL

Question: Why start so high on the Viral marketing campaigns? 3btc for early bird?
I know we have 50k+ real followers, but even on Fiverr with a 250k twitter blast for $5 that is still reaching about the same amount of 'real followers' too. That's a huge price difference $700 vs $5

Why not start small, get everyone using it to beta test it. Work the bugs out, SECURE MORE REAL FOLLOWERS (ie: happy users of the service) and then work up to the $700 advertising fee?

Funny you should quote that:
This is happening live: http://www.c-span.org/video/?326084-1/senator-rand-paul-rky-nsa-surveillance&live

Rand Paul talking about NSA backdoors

Quote
"THIS WAS IN AN OP-ED IN "THE L.A. TIMES" IN DECEMBER. "BUILDING A BACK DOOR INTO EVERY CELL PHONE, TABLET, OR LAPTOP MEANS DELIBERATELY CREATING WEAKNESSES THAT HACKERS AND FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS CAN EXPLOIT."

Good point you make though. it you have enough coin it's worth it to set up a box with nothing but your wallets on it. No games, no browsers, no social apps. And a clean install of whatever OS you want to use. I'm in the process of doing that now, maybe I will make it a Linux box.

Do it on a RPi and then write up a "getting started" post here for me  Wink

The last time I saw an order book similar to SDCs current order book on Trex, was when DRK popped from $0.75 to $15/DRK.

Indeed. That was fun!

Most the charts for LTC, PPC, NMC always looked sideways like this until the huge influx of Chinese investors and the insane amount of cryptos launched per day. A big day for LTC was jumping from 1/2 cent to 3 cents which hardly ever happened much. All the bitcoiners had the money and btc on exchanges already and they hated alts so there wasn't much movement unless some new blood took the siberian express of money transfers (paypal -> webmoneyz -> egopay -> fill in the blank -> btc-e) to finally get 78% of the fiat they started with into coins.

....  You tried to manipulate the price downwards, and even caused a flash crash to 0.000425 the other day, and the price immediately bounced back to 0.0005. The only reason you dumped it was to try to save your damaged ego, then you came here to tell us how you dumped it to that low low price, and how you were so smart to predict it.  You predicted the price would be sub 40K this weekend and you were wrong.

Don't give skip60 the satisfaction that he was the reason the price dropped. It wasn't him, he doesn't have any SDC left after selling at 18k sats. He just claims things because they happen and nobody else claims them. He has no control over the market, hence all the whining and asking for market makers.

hey sexy thing,

how many coins you want me put sell order at trex for couple of minutes.

give me a figure

then you will shut up

How about you sign a message in your wallet and post it here so we all know you mean business

which one of my wallets, i dont have just one

you give me a reasonable figure

I don't care, any of your many that substantiates the amount of SDC you claim to have. Should be easy to pick one to blow our minds.

i can manipulate the market as much as i want.

until someone bigger than me comes, i am doing whatever i want. it is my playground

for example 30k buy wall at 50k sat is mine, you can sell into it. someone sold around 8k already

i dont share my wallet no

Ok, that's your prerogative to not share your wallet. Signing a message is the only way to prove ownership of a blockchain token. I'll just continue to assume you sold your stash of 1,000 or so SDC out a while ago.

soon we will see 43k sdc price, if it breaks 43k then we will be looking for new base

no volume, no newcomers/new bloods...

better core team updates the community and confirms that Q2 is still valid for marketplace, or they revise the date before it is end of Q2

if they need to revise the date, better they dont wait till end of Q2 to revise it

obvious troll is obvious

i will remind it to you when 43k comes

45k came, 43k price is not far, even lower we will see this weekend

Still higher than old ATH of 40...
... and way higher than when you bowed out

Please stop these useless conspiracy theories. It does not matter if Satoshi was just a regular man, CIA or NSA agent.
Bitcoin is open source; Bitcoin works and currently has no flaws. It does not matter who created it.
End of story.

 Roll Eyes Undecided

bitcoin has not flaws, if you are thinking the contrary .... then please explain or better illustrate these flaws Wink. Remember that bitcoin was created only few years ago and it can surpass and 'destroy' the actual economic system (because it is better and more easier to use).

Obviously I agree with your later point, you're preaching to the choir.
In regard to flaws (and/or weaknesses), since nothing is perfect, here you go.

Hmm interesting 'flaws' but bitcoin is still better (100 times more) than the actual economic system based on banks and FIAT currencies. An human cannot create something 100% perfect (this is obvious) but maybe he can reaches 99% (and remember this is still an experiment).

Agree

You mention this was a single, isolated secret ops program but I disagree. I think the NSA made over 100,000 smaller ops programs all under the "Satoshi Nakamoto" umbrella.

This proves it: http://wordsmith.org/anagram/anagram.cgi?anagram=satoshi+nakamoto&t=1000&a=n
