1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: November 11, 2015, 03:36:15 AM
Wow, I have been away from this thread for a long time now.

What are the latest news on "Marcelo"?

I lost about 0.4btc total in S.CC; not the biggest part of my initial investment. Some weeks I'm able to withdraw from 0.01 to 0.02, receiving the btc within three days (not that I think I'll be able to recover a meaningful part of my loss, though).

What is funny is that, if I sold my MHS, I'd get less than they "produce" in a month. ROI would be awesome if true, right?

Any news? Is everyone in a similar situation? Are debates here still going on 24/7?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: September 13, 2015, 11:32:46 PM
Hey guys, I'm not a supporter of S.CC at all, and I've lost hard earned money here, but just to let you know: I tried withdrawing ~0.012btc last monday and I've just seen it has arrived at the destination wallet today.

I don't know what was the current pattern with withdrawals since I haven't been following this thred anymore, but after 5 or 6 days I have received this small amount. Maybe some of the guys here who have invested big money in still have a chance of saving a small part of it all.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: August 31, 2015, 02:04:27 PM
Auto-invest turned on again? F'n seriously?

We don't even need to discuss withdrawals when we don't have control of OUR money INSIDE the platform. This should already raise some serious disbelief.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: August 20, 2015, 03:09:42 PM
I'm just waiting to see a message like "The script that managed everybody's auto-invest option had a problem and turned this feature on for everybody, it will be fixed soon".

People lose the value of their money when khs price decreases, rarely are able to withdraw the reduced amount and, to top it off, cannot even control what's left of the money INSIDE the website itself.

Money is given so Marcelo can take it and play with the crumbs. This is ridiculous, and what is even more ridiculous is that some people will believe his excuse later in pious fashion.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why you shouldn't trade Bitcoin on: July 26, 2015, 03:44:17 PM
That depends. In both cases you are worried about earning fiat, not bitcoin, which goes against the idea of Bitcoin itself.

Furthermore, holding bitcoin expecting to get rich later is what happens among most bitcoin buyers and probably the HUGEST barrier to bitcoin growth and adoption. Bitcoin should be used as a currency, to buy and sell things. Sitting on huge amounts of bitcoin can be profitable in the long run dollar/euro/yen/general fiat wise, but it does not make Bitcoin work the way it should.

It is a coin, to be used for trading, not an antique artifact to hold until its value grows exponentially and you convert it back to conventional money.

And I'm not blaming anyone directly, I have this mentality myself and only used 5% of my bought bitcoin for shopping.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Tyson bitcoin ATM on twitter on: July 25, 2015, 09:25:44 PM
What is more significant price wise? Bill Gates buying more BTC for his foundation (a guy from the technology area investing) or Mike Tyson opening his own ATM (a more mainstream celeb investing)?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: July 21, 2015, 01:36:37 AM
Is something different going on? My balance is constantly rising, but my mining history is normal as always and no Buy/Sell orders have been executed.

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: July 12, 2015, 03:51:04 PM
I can't withdraw now because of "Invalid values". The amount is smaller than my balance. What now?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: July 12, 2015, 03:28:43 PM
So, no chat, and now Mining history has been deleted?
11  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Carteira Sem Fee on: July 12, 2015, 01:06:03 AM
Atualmente, a NegocieCoins banca a fee de 0,0002 que eles próprios estabeleceram pras transferências serem ágeis. Não sei por quanto tempo isso vai durar!
12  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Quem é Negocie Coins on: July 01, 2015, 11:24:45 PM
Fala galera.

I'm glad I took the bigger part of my money out. Already one hour and 40 minutes passed after "relaunch time". No trading, no mining. Now, the site is unaccessible AND moments before I couldn't browse it anymore, I noticed my KHS and BTC balance were wiped out. Some people made the same comment on the "Trollbox".

From time to time someone would even state "Something is moving" or "Engines starting" like they were insiders on the server situation. How deeply have people been fooled? Gee.

I've gotten over it, and we were warned tons of times; believing "partially" that it couldn't be true didn't get me anywhere (and selling the BTC that was dragged - by myself - into that hole would give me 20% profit right now). Regular "real world" non-risky investments are usually .8% a month AT BEST. And so many of us could not be happy with HashNest's ~10%. Greed is a bitch.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: July 01, 2015, 01:08:01 PM
Site is loading fine now... Too fast to be true. I have no mining rewards and the trading orders and bids are still empty... My balance remained the same. So i don't see anything going on right now...
And as i calculated to 9:00 brasilian time there are 15 minutes to go. Edit: I must messed up something... It's already 9:45 there...

10:07 in Brazil. No rewards, no trading so far.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 28, 2015, 03:17:44 PM
So how would it be possible for Scrypt.cc to be able to negotiate lower energy prices when Brazil has approximately triple the energy costs as USA with the recent hikes in energy prices? http://riotimesonline.com/brazil-news/rio-business/electricity-bills-to-increase-by-70-percent-in-rio-and-sao-paulo/#

You may also combine this with the anonymous newbie account, no pictures of any mining equipment, and the recent "hack" which would make it pretty much impossible for them to repay all customers. The name Marcelo Santos doesn't really mean anything, might as well be Jesus as there is nothing to check it against.

Completely agree, just pointing out that Curitiba is not in the states discussed on the news you've posted (Rio and São Paulo); Curitiba is in Paraná (the state where I live and where the situation is even worse since not only the federal government raised the power bill nationwide, the state government has raised it a little more in Paraná).

At least one thing on this website has a high probability of being real: the admin is indeed brazilian. Some people have claimed that he is american / indian because of IP tracking results, but today he answered a message on S.CC's "trollbox" (chat) in perfect portuguese, even using a slang.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 23, 2015, 08:16:49 PM

Hey bro, I also live in Brazil and I think you had a very bright initiative deciding to go to the alleged address and check things out for yourself (instead of just debating rumors here). On the other hand, notice that this is supposed to be a BIG Altcoin mining operation, owning many miners that cost a bunch of money, so it is only rational that they wouldn't publish their real address (because of thefts) - other big american cloud mining services DO show pics of their mining pools, but conceal their addresses.

I agree that this may very likely be a scam, and I really appreciate you took the investigation matters into your own hands, but their address being fake is the smallest concern I could have right now.

Not a concern for you? Before I pulled all my coin out of Scrypt.cc, I witnessed Admin in the trollbox pointing to the public info in his WhoIs profile and saying that anyone in Brazil was welcome to visit the main offices at that address. If I still had any holdings here, I'd be concerned that it all seems to be oh so very fake.

Can anyone else confirm or deny those pics are ACTUALLY of the location published in Scrypt.CC's WHOIS?

I was just stating that the address is not what makes this a hell of a big scam, since the only thing it would be normal for the Admin to conceal is the address itself. SCC's WHOIS also states that the phone is 9999-9999 - it may exist but sounds pretty made up! If he stated that is his address and anyone was welcome to check the whole thing out, sure it should be there, BUT the address is my smallest concern, his smallest lie among the light bill lie, the "hacking" of the website, the whole mining operation itself.

And I'm brazilian, live in Curitiba's State, know the city, it is from that address. You can check Google Street View and then compare with the pictures joaozarate posted.

Went up to the address of the SCC.
http://website.informer.com/MARCELO+SANTOS+SCRYPT.CC.html

These are the photos of the address of the SCC.
Nobody knows Marcelo Santos.
We asked the neighbors. Nobody ever sought an person with that name.
There is the number 416. 418 and 400. Only 418 is a beauty salon and 400 is a church. No establishment between.

@ThorSWO @ThePhwner I know you might see me as just one more guy affirming things in this crazy fucking thread, but there is nothing to be discussed on this power issue.

IF "Marcelo" is from Curitiba and his mining pool is located there, HE WOULDN'T MAKE ONE CENT MINING. The energy cost is just too high; I don't think you could make money mining ANYWHERE in Brazil.

This, obviously, considering he is actually mining AND considering his pool is located in the city where he claims to be from. He could obviously claim it is located somewhere else, then, you'd have to decide if you believe it or not by yourselves. But if he has claimed the miners are in Curitiba, forget it, there's no way this shit is happening.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: June 17, 2015, 02:09:03 PM
But at earntomorrows go-down it was part by part. I had 2 accounts. The first got shut down and the other one got shutdown 2 weeks later. I  was able to achieve roi with that left account. A few days later the account of a friend of me got cleared aswell. So it's not so unusual to collapse time by time.

But i don't think the end is near now. Reward increased... Why they should increase the reward to blow some extra money out before they shut down?

I don't think that rewards increasing or decreasing can be considered a clue, since most people will just reinvest their rewards and stick around "trading numbers that don't mean anything". The site will crash in 2 cases, I guess:
         When an amount of people owning more than half of the tradable hash decides to sell it all and cash every BTC out (highly unlikely to happen);
         When the admin decides to shut the whole thing down;

And also, increasing rewards might be a manner of increasing the ROI time stated by their calculator and, therefore, attract more people.

For me, it is just a bet. The site crashes down all the time but always comes back; Hash prices are extremely mercurial and the market is easy to manipulate... I cannot see a pattern that shows the website will be shut down or for how long it'll stick around.

I know what to do i make an scam report against scrypt.cc and i upload proof tomorrow first i need to talk to my friend to send me the proof i have seen before then you cunt asses see what is bullshit.

You tried to quote me, then you answered writing inside the quote, then you gave up and just posted this message here randomly, not directed to anyone. It was fun editing to watch, but anyway.

I have stated I agree it is a scam, and I do think that at some point the admin will disappear with the coins he has inside his system. However, I don't think he is going to do that little piece by little piece; shit will be shut down in one heavy blow to investors heads IMO. Talk to your friend and discuss another way in which you could've been hacked, IF all this story you tell here (a drama with tons of sudden turns) is true.
