Who says its only mining scrypt coins?

[expletive deleted] ASIC miners can only mine the specific ALGO they are designed for!

Bitcoin ASIC miners can only mine SHA256 coins and Litecoin ASIC miners can only mine Scrypt coins.

SHA256 is like 27 coins. According to http://coinwik.org/List_of_all_DCs there are 174 scrypt or variation of scrypt coins. With custom software couldn't a scrypt miner mine the most profitable of the 174 scrypt coins?

You only need concern yourself with Litecoin and any coin with sufficient market liquidity which is more profitable than Litecoin to mine. There would be zero point in mining anything less profitable than Litecoin if you are seeking to sell what you are mining to earn the bitcoin that scrypt.cc 'pays out' every ten minutes.

Fact is you can check this yourself. Go to coinwarz.com and add up the total network Hashrate for Litecoin and any Scrypt coin above it in the list which isn't merge-mined with Litecoin.

Now add up the Hashrate of the public pools for those coins because scrypt.cc wouldn't be wasting money paying pool fees when they have way more than enough power to solo mine every coin including Litecoin, and deduct that total Hashrate of the public pools from the total Hashrate for the combined coin networks.

There is no space left to hide but a tiny fraction of scrypt.cc's claimed 850GH/s of Scrypt ASIC mining power.

Ergo, they are lying about mining with 850GH/s of scrypt hash power.

Thanks cryptodevil, just the explanation I needed. Just added to will scrypt.cc be the next cloud mining HYIP to fail?

Good job, nice work. We need more media outlets willing to explain the facts about 'cloud mining'.

While you're at it, perhaps you might want to extend the article to question why a service purporting to help users learn which cryptocurrency services are suspected scams, is so fervently shilling for scrypt.cc and was also a spittle-flecked rabid shill for Homero Joshua Garza's GAW/Hashlet/XPY fraud.

It's funny and sad all at once that everything they list as funding their project is some sort of scam or bullshit.

Thanks for you answer!
P.S. I just don't like people talking like cryptodevil, that's natural.

Hi guys and girls!
Can you please advise whether it's safe to invest now?
Thanks!

Do your own research if you gonna put money into it, instead of asking a question and calling people names after that which tried to help you..
But it is not safe. It was never safe to invest in a ponzi - which it is by default until proven otherwise. But now, since it's on the edge of collapsing, is super high risk. Stay away.
It is never safe it is a gamble just like Las Vegas or a race track or the stock market.... Only bet what you can afford to lose.

They are scammers believe me i got scammed 1.250.000 khs , no new orders after my last order and also no withdrew. I tell again i did an order 1.250.000 khs at 898 price then price went down to 840 then i cancelled the order and then my 1.250.000 khs never came back. I got my rewards for like 3 hours after this happened and then that stopped and got muted from chat -.- (tells enough about scam)

People can call this bullshit but i have everything recorded with hypercam i am waiting till he replies to the support ticket if he close the ticket without giving my khs back i make an scam report with all proofs.

If you people are smart withdraw your coins before you get scammed like me Wink

Btw my friend had 4.550.000 khs and admin scammed him also but he made an mistake he made his balance not 0.00000000 but -1.0000000 will ask him for an screenshot and also let him record it for the scam report.

2X bullshit.

Yeah man, I'm sorry. I'm 100% inclined to believe this is a scam for MANY reasons. The hash rate does not add up; I feel rewards don't vary like they should when compared to other websites that are mining with 100% certainty (like HashNest, where sequential rewards may vary 900% based on pure block mining luck); I live in Brazil and if the pool is really located here, there is NO WAY he can afford to pay the light bill (just for comparison: if someone in his state bought a BTC miner like an AntminerS5, the maintenance would go from the current 48% in China to 128% in Curitiba's state, Paraná - Brazil). At the same time I've only bet what I can afford to lose and it's been fun to be a part of such a risky hash market, where I'm probably not even trading real hash.

But claiming you've lost so many khs and then mention OUT OF NOWHERE, after various posts here complaining, another friend absurdly lost even more? I'll have to call bullshit on this one.

You tried to quote me, then you answered writing inside the quote, then you gave up and just posted this message here randomly, not directed to anyone. It was fun editing to watch, but anyway.

I have stated I agree it is a scam, and I do think that at some point the admin will disappear with the coins he has inside his system. However, I don't think he is going to do that little piece by little piece; shit will be shut down in one heavy blow to investors heads IMO. Talk to your friend and discuss another way in which you could've been hacked, IF all this story you tell here (a drama with tons of sudden turns) is true.

But at earntomorrows go-down it was part by part. I had 2 accounts. The first got shut down and the other one got shutdown 2 weeks later. I  was able to achieve roi with that left account. A few days later the account of a friend of me got cleared aswell. So it's not so unusual to collapse time by time.

But i don't think the end is near now. Reward increased... Why they should increase the reward to blow some extra money out before they shut down?
