No offense, but, personally, I do not like the posting style of Alaki.
I find his posts quite hilarious. At any rate he seems quite helpful to newbies, so until he gets his account back TheLegendaryOne(an alt of mine, and yeah quite a cheesy name) is his. The market capitalization of bitcoin is so big. If you want to pump it higher, you need a lot of volume. This has not happened.

This is 1st reply which has been given some thought but still not good enough to term referral link in OP as spammy. If this forum does not support referral programs then why are so many signature campaigns running here? Why are these users allowed to post referral links in their signatures? The mods are just slacking off. |

Thanks everyone, although I at first had Bitcoin related topic in my mind for extended essay, I felt it might be a bit too broad to include in 4k words. Hence I chose random numbers, provably fair(compared it to other RNGs etc) to be specific.

How can topic about Bitcoin be way to narrow? I don't get it. You can write about the blockchain technology in essence. You can write about its decentralized nature and why is it important for the world -snip-.
I gave you just some pointers, there is really so many things to write about out there. Just use your imagination and research.
I want a specific question as to which I will do my research on, most of your point here is related to Economics while I'm doing a Comp. Sc. related essay. Ok, I see, my bad! Here is a possible good one. Possible influence of quantum computers on Bitcoin in the future. Is Bitcoin secure if quantum computers do show up? Hmm, that and the earlier idea combined might just be it. Thanks for the contribution |

Once again, its a Comp. Sc. essay, what you are saying is more of an Economical part. For those who do not know what Computer science is..... the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. That being said, why not go into the inner working of Bitcoin and the algorithms being used. The most popular question being asked = Can Bitcoin be cracked? I think you better choose blockchain technology as topic rather than only bitcoin. Blockchain will be wider topic and inside it you can talk also about altcoins which may be enough for an essay.
Hmm you're right, what topic/question specifically would you suggest I research on feature/limits/advantages of blockchain? |

If it's a Comp Sci degree, and not something like Economics or Anthropology, I would focus on the technical aspects / innovations it brought: specifically, Bitcoin's approach to trustlessness and it's solution to the Byzantine General's Problem. There's plenty of articles and research done specifically on this topic: try searching GitHub and the Nakamoto Institute papers. Thanks for the idea, do you think its a topic on which a research of at least 2.5 k words can be done on? |

I think you should just focus on the new things it brings to currencies. It brings a sort of ecosystem that bp central authority is in control of, that can be profitable for miners, and convenient for users.
Going according to your idea, it would be too Economics related rather than being something related to computer science. While I need a broad topic that I can research 3k words on, it should be narrow enough that I cover majority of it |

My topic is going to be Bitcoin(Comp. science) , although it seemed like a good idea at start , the topic seems to be quite too narrow. I have to research about Bitcoin, what part of it should I do the research on?

As posted earlier, I had 18 posts from the press section that had to be paid. Now all of a sudden all my posts in the press section is being deleted. So far over 30 have been deleted in the past 20 odd minutes.....

I havent recieved a payment since 28-9, yet I'm still in the system with postcount 1650. I discovered the cause, I should have changed my btc adres on this forum to my deposit address from Bit-x.
I've done so, can I please have my back payment if it's possible?
