Ну ты как проспавший последние пару лет  История в двух словах: - у народа потырили Сольдо, много, мучительно-тяжко намайненного... - народ возопил откатить блокчейн - я отказал, ибо не по кладбищенским правилам... - взамен предложил им форк Сольдо в точке до кражи монет, который назвали Гольдо /каждый мог выбрать свою сторону и продолжить майн там/... - при этом я обещал поддержку Goldo на год... - через год я перестал поддерживать Goldo, ибо гемор... - при этом предложил сделать новую монету на новом алго для защиты от асиков и свопнуть все наличные Goldo на новую монету... - так родился временный технический форк с ограничением эмиссии на уровне 6М, который в шутку окрестили XOLDO, и снова каждый мог выбрать свою сторону... - коммьюнити не справилось с поддержкой GOLDO, блокчейн умер, даже не смотря на то, что его удалось залистить на нескольких шитобиржах. Development is going on, but very slowly - summer, hot, laziness...
We had no plans to continue current Soldo apps development and switched our efforts to new coin base.
But we changed our mind and have to merge new coins codebase and old Soldo/Xoldo into one project.
In any case, Argon2 PoW already implemented and tested and could be activated as soon as we want.

Capitalism is win, we will use 512KB of memory in PoW function.

256 is clearly scaled 2 times 512, there is absolutely no difference between them, only twice more beautiful digits.

Выше 1024 рассматривать также бессмысленно, то же самое масшабирование вдвое.

Итак, результаты тестирования Argon2d. Изначально была мысль взять цель в 1Г RAM для защиты от ботнетов. Однако, в реальном майнинге при такой цели 1 хэш считается несколько секунд и система впадает в кому. Поэтому были проверены меньшие цели - от 64MB и вниз вдвое на каждой итерации. Результаты несколько смущают, но выводы следующие: - защититься от ботнетов Аргоном не выйдет, ведь расход RAM оказывается не слишком велик; - на крупных таргетах мощные процессоры не превосходят маломощные; - загрузка процессора возрастает линейно с ростом числа потоков и не зависит от тагрета, кроме крохотных; - на крохотных таргетах мощные процессоры начинают доминировать. Прошу высказывать свои мысли, какой размер таргета мы возьмём в PoW...  |
