Hi,

All VALID swap requests has been sent...those who didn't receive their KTN(eth) tokens, it must be because you haven't sent the 0.003 ETH requirements.

Best regards to everyone.

I am not sure if I was part of the original karma x11   or if I need to send the .003 eth   my xcp addy  is 1AmbDVfbrzinvHGcQgJZydzH8qYMLVrLL7

I just love watching out of the corner of my eye when I see  "Incoming transaction +1000 minted"  I get excited.

However, I am not always able to look at my staking VM.

What I would like as a cool feature, is to get is an email or text when a stake occurs. (then I can attach a special ring tone to that cha..ching ) Grin
 Grin
The easiest way I thought of to do that in windows, was if the wallet sends events to the "windows event viewer" when a any transaction occurs and have different event IDs for minting, send , receive etc...

Then I can use the Windows task scheduler to send emails, send notifications ,run scripts etc... based on any event in the wallet.

your thoughts?

My second question was to confirm that "(My total weight / total network weight)"  can be used to calculate my probability at that moment of time of staking a single block.

if not what metrics can I use to calculate?

You are right, you can estimate your probability to stake a block by taking into account the correlation of your weight and the total network weight. Then you can use a binomial distribution calculator to calculate your chances to stake one or another amount of blocks per period. Lets suppose that you have 1% of the total network weight (thus you have a 1% chance to stake the next block) and you want to know how many stakes you can get per day (960 blocks). A resulting graph can look like this (96 tries/10% success probability is used for clarity).

So there is a ~36.5% probability to stake between 11 and 20 blocks per day.
The probability to stake from 1 to 10 times per 960 blocks is respectively ~63.5%.

yes perfect answer, that is exactly where I was going with it.

Thank you sir.  Smiley

PressTab

I asked 2 questions under post #  5720

however, after researching, I found an answer to my first question. I found a post from you #3022 where you stated  "weight = (min(block age, 30 days) - 8 hours) * block amount"

and since 8 hours is 1/3 of a day, it confirms my observation that weight = block size × (days old - (1/3)) up to 30 days of course   The wiki  has 1/6  just FYI.

My second question was to confirm that "(My total weight / total network weight)"  can be used to calculate my probability at that moment of time of staking a single block.

I am back online. Ask me anything.

I posted some questions under post # 5720, would you be able to answer.
I am building some Monte Carlo simulations and just need to make sure the formulas are right.

What is happening with the price?
This coin cant be under 100 sat.

Probably it's an impact of the fallen colossus Cryptsy. Personally I am waiting for a perfect occasion to improve my reach list positions Wink

Agree, there is a lot of volatility in all coins right now. because of the whole Cryptsy debacle and the Mike Hearn news happening at the same time.

this would be the time to buy , not sell.

Sell into strength and buy into weakness.

Ok two questions

1.
On the Hyperstake Wiki

the formula for calculating weight shows as   "weight = block size × (days old - (1/6))"

However,  while observing the Coin control weights within the wallet, it does not appear to be working out that way.

it appears from my observation and trial and error, that the formula is closer to "weight = block size × (days old - (1/3))"

Can you confirm?

2.  True or False

"(My total weight / total network weight)"  can be used to calculate my probability at that moment of time of staking a single block.

with such a hi inflation rate i would expect my wallet to have staked by now.  90000 hyps in about 35 blocks of sizes from 800 - 4500 kind of randomly.

so how do i know it is set up right?

it's been sittin there 2 weeks

Think about it this way

If you had a penny and you were to double it every day

In 1 week you would have  64 cents

Week 2 you would have  $81.92

Week 3 you would have  $10,486

Week 4 you would be  a millionaire  at $ 1,342,177.28

Compounding with proper block size is the key.

After about a month or so of not staking, I am happy to have my staking box up and running and staking like crazy Smiley

what blocksize do you use?

i would like maximum growth and I was toying with the notion of using 2500 size blocks.  would that get me there?  or what would you suggest?

Love the coin.

I would suggest using a variety of sizes. I have everywhere from 2.5k to 20k. The more blocks the better though.

thanks a bunch.
