SPECTRA has been tested for POW and Hybrid with little to no modification and most other coins that use the bitcoin style JSON-RPC calls.

It was important to us to include enough of a foundation in order for a dev to easily port it to their needs. Hats off to CallMeJake the original creator of blockcrawler and now SPECTRA

I sincerely apologize that you dont approve of setting up a central forum/blog for better updates in a central location. The fact is that updates will be posted when they are ready, not on the time frame that you deem to be the best. When it was mentioned that there is going to be a burn, it was to let everyone know that it is on the list. We originally had a plan and decided to address it after tackling a few bigger issues. If things arent happening on a timeline that you approve of, there are two things that come to mind that you can immediately do.

1. Create a project and run it exactly how you see fit.
2. Pick one of the 1000's of projects out there that are more in line with your needs.

Some of the things we are working on are no small feat, updates are given as we have them.

Taking SPEC hybrid is one of the bigger obstacles as it has to be planned out perfectly. The jist of it though is that its actively being tackled and we will ultimately choose the best route to take so that the community can transition smoothly.

CW is a big project that requires a ton of resources and has to be proofed fully. Its the equivalent of taking the biggest exchanges information and combining it into one. This is no small feat.

Spectra needs to be fully proofed. Its working well and the dev is probably the best blockchain dev available. This is no small feat.

Bottom line is, information, updates and alpha launches will take place when we deem them fully ready. No sooner. If that doesnt suit your needs, simply pick something else to follow.

Also, once the forum is up we will begin updating the community on SPEC going hybrid and how it needs to happen to ensure smooth experience.

There will be full updates once we launch the forums. We were originally going to have a little ceremony to make the burn a bit memorable (something to the tune of 1,000-10,000-1,000,000 SPEC being burned everytime a community member pushed a button on the burn site) however actual CW development got in the way which means we will probably just do something quick and dirty thats provable (Yes earlz is an option). They havent moved and once we add the forums we will have more info.

We are in the process of adding development forums to https://www.speccoin.com which will be used to give community updates vs spreading the information out through several forums.

This will allow us one central location to send information out on burns, cryptowatcher updates, invites, or anything to do with SPEC development etc.

Yes, we actually have plans to take it hybrid in the near future. The initial plan was that it would be done by the end of Sept. Its being actively worked out and I am talking with one of the best devs for the job in order to see it through.

CryptoWatcher is now commencing with Beta testing in which we will test the system, fix any bugs found and add new features to finish off the list.


More info on public beta will be posted as we near the final tests and any bug fixes that may or may not pop up.

The basic idea is, projects are multi faceted. Its going to be a mix of things that make SPEC a success.

1. Awesome!
2. CW Beta Announcements will be in approx 53 days, we have some interesting stuff that will be released in between then also.
3. Not sure about open sourcing CW just yet. The current plan is "Nope". However we are big believers in releasing things for all to use for their own purposes so most of what we create WILL be released open source once each of the open source projects has a release that we have tested and deem worthy.

Before we formed the SPEC dev team, the plan was to build and run DAPPs on the ethereum network. ETH was purchased and the plan was set in motion. However after forming the SPEC dev team we realized that using discreet, tried and true methods were preferable over ethereums experimental network. We know Ethereum is going to be HUGE once it starts rolling, we just dont have the time right now to keep up with the latest as our own schedules are pretty crazy with SPEC related projects.

So with that said, we are going to hold a 24 hour auction of two blocks of ETH:
Block 1 is a total of 3,256 ETH
Block 2 is a total of 20,000 ETH

If the interest is high enough here, we will sell both blocks here within the next 24 hours. Funds are to be sent to the very same purchasing addresses used when we purchased the eth (Addresses are below and will be clearly marked)

Winner will receive either block 1 wallet file in its entirety, or Block 2 wallet file in its entirety with each respective password needed to import the wallets. Once sent, we will remove any trace of the wallet files from our system so it will be important to create backups.

Blocks can not be broken up.
