I watched part of his Town Hall thang yesterday. He asked himself a bunch of rhetorical questions and answered "I don't know" or "we're going to find out" to most of them. Apologies not necessary for those kinds of answers.

She did wonders for McCain's campaign...
IMO, McCain could have had Jesus as his running mate, he wasn't going to stop the momentum. 2008, after Iraq and Afghanistan, was a 100% Democrat victory. Even I saw that coming. Even people who supported the wars, had doubts when we didn't leave right away. The fact that a young, African American guy from Harvard was running....even my Republican father voted for Obama. It might be one of the greatest opportunistic grabs of all time. |

Sounds like we need some "enhanced interrogation" to make sure there's no substantial domestic terrorism plot.
But progressives have been arguing for 15 years that "enhanced interrogation" efforts were morally wrong. Wouldn't they be giant hypocrites if they suddenly started advocating for them? Maybe it's only morally wrong when brown Muslims are subjected to it? |

After 5 days, the president who has spent much of his tenure whitewashing Islamist terrorism, aka "violent extremism", has finally gotten around to ordering the lowering of the American flag to half-mast at public buildings in memory of the 5 servicemen who were murdered by Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez in Chattanooga last week.
How many days did it take him to light up the White House after the gay "marriage" ruling?Last I checked nothing had been done to harden the facilities of military recruiters, but maybe that problem will get fixed before some IS fanboy shoots up another recruitment center (?).
It takes real leaders to address the safety of our military here---that's why the more conservative goveners have taken just the most simple leap of reasoning and allowed their guard members to be armed. Georgia alread had a law that let recruiters arm themselves. |
