1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| |SPEEDCASH| |X13| Fast, Private, Secure, Untraceable and Decentralized on: April 20, 2018, 02:34:03 PM
I'm running my wallet from a Ubuntu command line, using the compiled scashd binary.  It's synced and running, however it's not doing any POS blocks.  Is there something I need to do to get stacking working using scashd?

I'm still running an explorer at http://138.68.239.143:3001/

I've been able to compile the C wallet and successfully make some small changes.  Progress will be slow, but I'm coding some small things with the wallet.  I'm keeping my stacking wallet and master node running.  Let's at least keep the network up and running.  I've seen coins come back to life after dying.   One example is Speed Cash.

My wallet started working after I removed the my blockchain database and let it sync from the beginning.

My wallet has started to sync, but it stopped at block 46205.  I'm connected to the new Block Explorer.  Any ideas on how to get it to sync more blocks?

what is the situation with the coins at yobit? a few days ago i bought some scs but the status of the wallet in yobit is "maintenance" i lost my money?

You haven't lost your money.  The blockchain isn't in the best of health, so yobit cannot write a transaction to your wallet.  This will be fixed when the coin re-launches.

I just want to say thank you to the devs.  I was able to follow the compile instructions on github, which worked perfectly on Ubuntu 16.04.  The instructions are very clear and well written.

The wallet runs, but as expected it's not connecting to any nodes.  The devs already noted this on the website.

I've got my node running at 67.205.180.2.  It doesn't have the blockchain, but I'm planning on keeping it up, so if someone whats to connect to it so it can get a copy, that would be great.

May be hacked, not scam

I don't think so.  The website, the bitcoin talk 1st post, the github project and the slack group all hacked at the same time.   Seems like too much to hack all at one time.

I can't believe i had wasted my fucking electricity on this, FUCK YOU.

I hear you man.  I should have been mining Magnet all this time.  It's already on an exchange and going for $0.60.  The only reason I was mining Aspect was because I felt that it would be higher than Magnet when it hit the exchange.

Will be another community takeover I guess Smiley

Did anyone fork the github project?

Github project is gone too.  Looks bad.

Anyone selling mn? PM with price

The dev is selling Master Nodes for $900.  The money goes to pay for the expenses to get the coin listed on exchanges, so buying Master Nodes from him is super helpful.

This quite a nice project, how can UNIT be mined?

It's mined the same as Bitcoin.  Or you can buy UNIT on an exchange, then run the wallet software on your computer.  You'll get free UNIT just for running the wallet/node.  This is something Bitcoin is missing.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIT] Universal Currency | LIFETIME| POW/POS SHA256 | 1% Interest on: November 29, 2017, 06:05:04 AM
what the hell is bot trading, is that something exchanges do?

Many exchanges, Cryptopia included, have what are called APIs.  These allow computers to trade and place orders, all without a person.  Smart people code up trading algorithms and let computers watch prices and place orders.  Think of 3-4 bots trading between themselves, tricking each other into buying at higher and higher prices, not realizing the insanitary of a $700/UNIT price, obeying the code precisely.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UNIT] Universal Currency | LIFETIME| POW/POS SHA256 | 1% Interest on: November 29, 2017, 04:43:03 AM
Wow! what kind of a scam coin this is?

Just got online on cryptopia and saw this 173627.81 % rise. WTF!!!..
Pure pump and dump coin.

If you can make money on this pump do it and get out.

Not a scam. This is what I can tell. Cryptopia just added UNIT, having only a small amount of actual UNIT on the exchange when they had a technical issue with syncing wallets.  With so little actual UNIT on the exchange, API bots started to trade back and forth, causing the  price to rise.  People tried to transfer UNIT to take advantage of the price, but Cryptopia had issues with wallets, so the bots kept trading back and forth, creating a self fulfilling prophecy.

It looks like what we are seeing is the effect of bot trading.  Very hilarious if you ask me.  Grin

If there are some JS folks around here? its gonna be cool to see some service like preev.com for DigitalNote and also
DigitalNote vs oil would be great Wink
In a few year its gonna be DigitalNote vs Green Energy price calc  Grin

I could probably whip up something in PHP if you want.

I don't currently have time to help, but I am a programmer.  I did PHP for many years.  I'm now doing Node.js.  Before you start building this in PHP, I would recommend that you try the Meteor.js tutorial first.

https://www.meteor.com/tutorials/blaze/creating-an-app

Meteor could make a preev.com replica fairly easy to build. Ether way I think this is a great idea.

Thanks dNote for the quick reply, explaining why in my testing the messages disappeared.  It makes sense now.

I've been playing around with the wallet, trying different recovery methods.  I copied the private key off and then moved the wallet data to another location, starting a new wallet by first importing the copied private key.  The wallet is sync'ed again and balances look good.  I can see the evidence of messages I sent, but the message text is blank.

Code:
Status: 14746 confirmations
Date: 04-07-15 09:14
To: (n/a)
Amount: -1.001 XDN
Fee: 0.001 XDN
Transaction hash: F4D564930E81915B1445509C5287B2BC3E42F8F6DF06D40A8FA60BDC6F21EDB8

Messages:

I'm trying to understand the nuances of the wallet and how messages work.  Why can I no longer see the text of the messages in this scenario?

My first 30 day deposits matured today.  I withdrew them and now I have more XDN in my wallet.  The blockchain deposits work very smoothly.  Thanks dNote!
